You do not want to miss this memorial concert; it is as fresh as then, very ENTERTAINING, EDUCATIVE and INFORMATIVE.
You don’t want to miss watching and listening to legendries and people that worked with the late Elly Wamala. You want to know what they learnt from him during his life and how he impacted on their artistic careers to this day.
Expect to listen to respected musicians and artists such as Moses Matovu of Afrigo Band, Frank Mbalire and Sammy Kasule of Ziwuuna Band; Diplock Segawa, Charles Ssenkubuge, Aloysius Matovu Joy of Bakayimbira Drama Actors, Julie Ssesanga of the Big Five, Robert Kalundi Sserumaga-former UNCC Artistic Director who delivered a Key note address, Francis Peter Ojede-Current UNCC Executive Director, Current UNCC Chairperson-Okello Kelo Sam, and Dustan Mukalazi, the late’s “son”, among others that graced last year’s memorial concert whose theme was ”Earning from Your Performance”. The Memorial Concert we are streaming this Friday relived what Elly Wamala’s values and aim were to impart skills and give young talents a chance. In attaining this, last year’s memorial concert had two sets of the bands; the professional band led by Afrigo band/ Ziwuuna Band and the upcoming talents from Makerere University performing Arts and Film Department.
Charles Ssenkubuge, the official MC of the late Elly Wamala, was the Master of Ceremonies and with him on the steering, you can expect so much…
