- Frostpunk 2 is the sequel to the genre-defining survival citybuilder Frostpunk, and I'm really excited to dive in to the Beta to show off gameplay of the Utopia Builder mode that's coming when the game launches later this year. In this mini-series, we're going to learn how to play Frostpunk 2 together, embracing our mistakes as we explore gameplay options, and engage with a completely different type of gameplay compared to the first Frostpunk.

Missed the first episode? Want to know how we got in this mess in the first place? Check it out here - ruclips.net/video/ayuLK0JIp74/видео.html !
An interesting session this one, that's for sure. The struggle is real, and the new arrivals are... curious, to say the least. Enjoy!
2 factions form yet there law tier for them stays the same as the community's? lame.....
Can't wait to have 12 districts and for each district to serve a boy and a girl to the central district to play in the hunger games if they wanna keep their access to the heater
Happy Hunger Games! And May the Odds be Ever in your Favor!
I love the scale of this, both because of the added complexity and that it makes sense from a story perspective. Frostpunk 1 was a small tight knit setup that was focused on the survival of humanity. This sequel is a natural progression from surviving to thriving. Our choices therefore have to increase in scope and longevity to achieve and maintain a thriving civilization. Great job by 11 bit studios committing to the themes and mechanics.
You connect the trail to the city access, which you put down by the 2 plains. You can either connect the trail down and around the mountain or build another district at 1 or both of the other city access points.
I would like a small guide that tells us about district synergies. There are supposed to be buffs for certain districts touching each other
I think you maybe can get guards from some building that you need to research.
Really enjoying this series so far.
I wonder if you need to have another way station set up to give you a place to bring the stuff in by train from the coal mine, from a direction facing that exploration area.
Loving getting all the rapid episodes at the moment, keep up the great work, thanks Party!
@jonblair5470 answered the question.
There is a food supply in the city around/near the path leading to coal supply you have opened and in the territory that can be built on.
Icon can be seen in left mid side in 19:29.
40:40 Watchtowers appear to give you guard squads, Housing block (technocrats) looks like an interesting way to increase heatstamp income
I’m just assuming, but if you connect trails to that water supply point on the mountain and the fuel and food points previously explored, to your city. It will then give you an option to build colonies there. But I assume the trail to those places needs to be built, not just explored.
looking forward to this one.
gotta say my only complaint about the gameplay is simply a mix of you not noticing things and the game not telling you, i do like how the expeditions dont flash up every time they complete with a full event like the first game, though i wish it didnt just flash a little gold icon in the top right to say its done. though your complaint about not having money and then completely avoiding the fact that a third of your income is going negative because of goods not being produced is not the greatest complaint, not sure if you just didnt notice the red or just refuse to build an industrial sector to solve the problem entirely until the very end. theres also that you hit the coal cap way after it warned you but then never said anything when you actually hit it and wasted it.
not to keen on the buildings... does building a hospital in one district affect other districts? or do all your housing districts need a hospital? feedback on what you've built and their effects are quite poor...
You can find out the price to build a building in the research tab.
Can you expand past city borders and have multiple citys you can manage and actually see / visit?
(It just pained me to watch they totally missed their valley exploration was done until then, especially then during a food and heatstamp shortage! 37:04 Yes, yes you were! 30:20 each of the 3 traditions is in relation to the laws/research they wanted passed that they showed you in the new faction introduced, "they seek to pass" . EG, "Dutiful youth" is tradition vs education. It means you shift to that feature,. Eg Tradition's feature for dutiful youth. However, if you do not remember said laws'/features' sway, it can be confusing and you have to decide the stance you would "allow" them to move toward or reject them all. As you saw it locks research/laws. Welcome to technocracy here because of it Said best at 43:26 "Here comes the darkness!" 🙃)
I'm pretty sure the pins are intended for connecting trails to the city. Don't they match the position of the hubs?
I think the trail needs to connect to the outpost depo thing
Will there be a version for Mac?
When you going to play rogue trader?
I love your videos, you should do another series on planet zoo because I really miss you doing them
Is it just me, or does the Iceblood technology art make it look like they are actually injecting ice into people's blood? I can't be the only one who saw that syringe at 32:16
In a word comrade, da!
This game series has interesting twist. By having monopoly over heat the city council slaves every pop. Since snow is a very good heat insulator there would be no need for huge coal furnaces and heat generation if snow was not actively plowed away from buildings.
Frostpunk was better than this
And you can go play it or watch somebody who is still streaming it. (With a lack of details why, it sounds more than a grumble than a reasoned opinion anyway.)
