    David Boos (1982) was born in Vienna, Austria, where he received his first musical training. He studied in Vienna and Amsterdam with Pier Damiano Peretti and Pieter van Dijk. Additionally he conducted research at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana.
    David Boos attended masterclasses with several renowned organists, among others Michael Radulescu, Bernhard Haas, Harald Vogel and Jean Boyer. He won prizes in international organ competitions in Leiden (2004) and Alkmaar (2009). David Boos is active as a soloist, continuo-player and conductor. He has performed in many european countries, as well as the USA.
    David was the Director of Music at the Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk in Amsterdam until November 2012. From 2007 until 2009 he was also assistant to the Director of Music at the Oude Kerk of Amsterdam. Furthermore, he was active as conductor of the Chamber Choir Krommenie.
    David Boos has published articles on church music, as well as his research on the conducting style of the Dutch conductor Willem Mengelberg. Currently he's working as the Label Manager of the non-profit, artist-driven classical label Odradek Records. At the same time he remains active as a concert artist, working as a soloist, as well as an ensemble musician. He is also working as a freelance translator and project manager in the classical music world.

    A well-controlled, carefully crafted performance....I played three times in a row....so much attention to each note...brought me to tears. The fugue is killing me, and other sections are full of surprises, just like exploring newly discovered landscapes next to the other. Bruhns would be very proud. I respect you just like you respect the piece. Thank you so much.

    Bruhns braucht schnelle Finger, ein Instrument, das feinsinnigen künstlerischen Gestaltungswillen reflektiert, und die Balance zwischen Pathos, versonnener Lyrik und feurigem Temperament... danke, alles da, artikulatorisch und agogisch sehr schön ausdifferenziert.
    Die Doppelpedalpartien werde ich als Anregung mitnehmen, habe ich bisher so nicht gespielt.
    Im übrigen erinnert mich die Orgel nicht nur ihrer Klanggewalt wegen an die Stader Cosmae-Orgel.

      Just dropping in to 1) thank you and 2) thank you for your other comment on the Weckmann last night, of which I've received a notification by email, but which doesn't show up anywhere in my RUclips Studio. Weird. In any case, I'll ask Dietrich K. next time I meet him. Got also some other footage on my harddrive waiting to be edited, in which Dietrich assisted me, hopefully I can get that out soon.

      Beautiful Great music. Bruhns is one of the best. I wonder what he would have given us if he had not died so young.
