      Having to digest a song or album is proof the song is bad and you only "digest" it for the sake of still loving the band
      The melodic line is simply so chaotic but in a boring way, doesn't resemble one but the "weirdness" but attractive sound of Unia, Days of Grace and other albums people cope with that this song resembles

    Amazing entry into the Caleb saga. This song is absolutely amazing! I had the pleasure of meeting the guys at their VIP meet during the Talviyo tour on the London 2019 date and was blown away, not only by their immense talent but by how absolutely lovely and hilarious each of them were. It's always refreshing when your favourite singers and musicians turn out to be stellar people. To hear this masterpiece live would be phenomenal! Great work as always guys

  • @nachofast6144
    @nachofast6144 11 месяцев назад +9

    I haven't been this excited about Sonata ever. All three singles have shown the parts of Sonata I love to listen to. The fast early stuff, the melodic-symphonic time of Unia/The Days of Grays and the playful riffs that were the one thing I REALLY liked about Talviyö. After listening the interviews Tony has given a bunch of small channels I'm especially excited

  • @Tobaaarr
    @Tobaaarr 9 месяцев назад +10

    After digesting the new album for a while, Dark Empath was not really in my favorites but I have to say now is definitely the MVP of the album. I'm madly in love with the chorus and the chord progression in it. It really gives me quite a high and add to that this music video and you have basically a perfect, quintessential Sonata Arctica song. *EASILY* their best album in a decade.

    • @vhaleryanadamant1975
      @vhaleryanadamant1975 3 месяца назад

      It's bad when you have to digest an album for so long and listen to songs 10 times to "Grow on you", it means you kinda force yourself to like the product because you are biased towards the band
      See, I never had this problem with Stratovarius, they never released a weak album. Weak songs? Maybe. Boring songs? Slightly but yes
      However, Sonata, for the past few years only released weak, boring, badly muffled mixed songs with no "charisma" to them, no interesting chorus, no interesting instrumental, they all sounds like slightly metal Christmas songs. To me they forgot how to compose and Tony definitely lost his touch and charisma in the songs, at least back then in Unia, Days of Grace and so on, they used to be somewhat creepy and interesting, now they are just "creepy" wannabe with such a weak voice I can't even take the singing seriously

    Gotta add to my first impressions, I keep coming back to this song and I absolutely get why this is the one that got a proper video. It really is a top shelf Sonata track and I love it. I loved it at first listen and it’s grown on me even more since the single released. A lot of their singles take a bit for me to REALLY dig into but this is just an all around great song. I really hope they add it to their live sets and keep it around because this track deserves the love.

    Well, I was tentatively excited before, but after this one, I can't wait for the album. I don't get hyped easily, I got high standards, and I've been openly disappointed by some recent releases of some bands, but MAN, does this one "go hard", as the zoomers say.
    The previous singles felt like Winterheart's Guild at times, this one I can't quite put my finger on; feels like something that could have been on Unia or Days of Grays, almost, in some parallel dimension. Days is my favourite Sonata album (love all prior ones too, especially the period from Winterheart to Days), so I can't help but feel like this album is shaping up to be something I'm really going to enjoy.
