From the look of it, one could spend an entire 1-week or 2-week vacation in Japan just checking out the shops and especially the restaurants in Tokyo Station. It's a destination all by itself.
Tokyo station is huge. I'd guess there are over 100 restaurants inside the main area, not to mention that there are sepersre connected area that has even more restaurants
I could spend my entire vacay eating my way through Tokyo Station and leave happy by the looks of it. Another great video that covered a fantastic variety of dishes. Thank you for always making me hungry! ❤🤤
I hope you will be able to travel to Japan one day. I have been to many countries (most countries in Asia, several countries in Africa, several countries in the Middle East, to Australia, the USA, Mexiko, Kanada, Cuba and most countries in Europe). But no country has been more rewarding and interesting as Japan for me. Since I visited there for the first time in 2017, I am in love with Japan. Next March will be our 4th trip to Japan, and I cant wait for it.
This was a great review! Your style is getting better and better all the time. I’ll check out the places next month when I’m there! You didn’t even have to eat super spicy ramen this time! 😊🙏
Besides having great food at Tokyo station, this is also a great place to visit if you like trains. If you want to take pictures of Shinkansen, of how the trains are cleaned, refilled, the staff is changed etc., getting a platform ticket for 150 yen will get you onto the station, and allow you to spend some time on the tracks, without having a ticket.
Another great video, thanks for that iNok. I love Gyoza, and yes, they are from China. They are called Jiaozi there, and unlike in Japan, in Northern China (where Jiaozi are from), you can find many different fillings. Not only pork like in most places in Japan. There are shrimp, beef, vegetarian options. And you can also choose with ginger, with garlic, with chili, with peppers etc. as an additional filling. For once, I prefer China over Japan ;-). Also, I have great memories of being invited into a family home in Beijing, to prepare and make Jiaozi for Chinese New Year. They where so tasty.
I've never visited China so I really wanna try authentic Gyoza over there!! I love shrimp so I wanna have shrimp gyoza and Chinese chives gyoza!! In China, boiled or grilled Gyoza, which one is more famous?? do you know??
Great video iNok! I spent almost an entire afternoon just exploring Tokyo Station but I didn't eat at any of these places. 😅😅😅 My favorite place to eat was Kiwamiya Hamburg Steak. Have you tried it? You actually sit in front of a little grill and cook the hamburg steak yourself, it's quite fun and tasty! the Hamburg Steak you ate looked good too, maybe I will try it next time!
Kiwamiya is great restaurant!! I was about to share that restaurant but I did not for this time! Maybe I'll do it for my next video!! from your comment, Kiwamiya sounds fantastic!! I have to visit!!
oh wow I didnt know these restaurant exist in Tokyo station! I only know the famous ramen street in tokyo station haha 😂 though it seems many of the restaurants are more pricey/expensive compare to outside tokyo station! can you list down which is the best family restaurant chains in japan next time? I only know Saizeriya, Royal Host, Jonathan's, Gusto, Bikkuri Donkey, Denny's, Coco's... I dont know if there's more ??? I always mistook Coco's as Coco Ichibanya eventhough they're not the same!! 🤣 I really want to try all of them but I dont know which one is the best in Tokyo, I only tried Saizeriya once before but never tried the others 😄
These restaurants have great quality level of food but as you thought, price is not that cheap but it's the way to have business so no excuse😅 About family restaurants in Japan, I think your list covers pretty much everything. Family restaurant is a very standard style restaurant and it's really friendly for family and kids so price and quality is very standard too. Food is not that expensive and tasty but I would not say it tastes super good. So it's hard to say which one is the best.... if you don't know what you wanna eat and place to eat, family restaurants are good. This is the best usage for family restaurant👍
@@Okashime I think Ueno Minatoya, Tsukiji Motodane, Tsukiji Kitaro were so good! Motodane and Kitaro are in this video!! ruclips.net/video/BfXhKLoXfWU/видео.html
@@foodinjapan2256 oh wow thank you so much! I didnt expect Tsukiji stores would be recommended by a local food guide given its famous for tourist spot and marked up prices hahaha 😂 most local japanese youtuber will say Ueno ameyoko kaisendon is cheaper than tsukiji but i will def check it out!
@@Okashime Both restaurants in Tsukiji are not in Tsukiji fish market, it's 10 mins away from the market. but quality and price are for sure!! Ueno Minatoya is the only one place that I can recommend in Ameyoko market other shops are good but not as good as Minatoya's Kaisendon I guess.
hey iNok! im curious about the cheese industry in japan, im a big cheese lover myself and im wondering if there are any characteristic cheeses in there, im just asking, but if you decide to make a video about it i would be very grateful hahahah, and thanks for the amazing content!
Thank you for the comment!! we don't have much culture for cheese in Japan... but it's a great point of view!! I'll search on it!! Thank you for sharing!
