Both new Predators looked good and the low light images were much better than v.4. I liked it better when you stopped a little closer to the signs. Also thought You like to know, I saw people talking in Discord for another channel a few days ago about how much they appreciated the multi camera setup you use.

After using a DJI Caddx Vista for a month now, comparing two analogue cameras with each other is like comparing VHS to Betamax. One might be superior to the other; both became obsolete.

I was out flying with two other pilots yesterday and all 3 of us were flying analog...In fact, it’s very rare that someone has DJI. Call me an analog fanboy, that’s fine, but it’s got advantages (ie range, gradual breakup) and is in no way dead as many suggest. Has anyone viewed the digital feed through a Racer 4? It’s clear from this comparison that the analog on it isn’t great. I’d like to see the Racer 4 hooked up to a Vista air unit.

As for the cameras in this comparison: the Racer sucks at resolution, the only thing that it may have going for it is latency but the Predators are pretty good in that respect too. I don't see much difference between the Predators except for low light performance where the Predator 5 is better than the Predator 4 and also a bit better than the Racer. I can't quite pin it down, but there is SOMETHING about the Predator Nano that I prefer over the Predator Micro - not by much, but I just have this feeling... There is something about the nano that may be more comfortable to my eye.

Thank you very much for this test which surely must have been a lot of work. Gladly, the new Predator seems to have even better colors than its predecessor (versions 1 to 3 were awful in that respect). The image looks heavily oversaturated and slightly oversharpened with default settings, though.
All depends on how you have your monitor/TV set for color saturation. They look perfectly saturated on mine. Course mine is calibrated.

Wow, the Racer 4 have the lowest noise at the night test, but on the tests with light it looks softer ( blurry ) compared to the nano5 and micro5 , the nano and micro5 have more saturated colors and more sharpness overall that i like but in the night you can see the strong noise on the sky.
Yes the image looks soft and I made sure that the camera was properly focused before testing it.

The predator 5 is much better
The Runcam Racer is super soft and undefined in it's image. Look pretty much any where and you can see it, but especially when looking at the monument with the lettering. I swear these camera companies just tweak the settings and decide to release a new camera so they can always have a model that is fresh on the market! The difference between the Predator 4 and 5 is just as if they tweaked the settings and said, "OK, release it as a new model!". They're all so good now, use iny meany miny mo! lol Or, just buy by price!!! ;)
Seems a bit conspiratorial...Do you have any proof or information to prove this? I think many of the newer analog cameras blow their older counterparts out of the water! Try comparing a Runcam Sky viewed through a pair of Fatshark Dominator HD's to the Runcam Phoenix 2 Nano viewed through the Fatshark HDO V2's, and you will see how much better they have become! In fact, I hear people all the time, saying that analog is dead, and I just can't disagree more with their statement...The difference between the DJI HD FPV system and a good analog setup is not the huge jusmp in quality that people think. A really neat experiment is to use the DJI Smart Controller to output the feed from that system to a pair of HDO V2's!!!

Analog Fanboy! lol I don't own it yet because I'm waiting for gen. 2, but just looking at the video on RUclips, the DJI Digital FPV system is in a league all of its own. No way analog even comes close and I also have some new cameras and a Caddx Ratel, and they aren't remotely close! If I was to rate the FPV view from analog vs. digital, I'd say analog was at best a 5 out of 10 in clarity and amount of noise (fuzz) in the picture. It's still very low resolution. DJI on the other hand would be the 10 out of 10. Not saying that it couldn't get better, but for this comparison, we'd call DJI a 10, because there's nothing better, or even close.
