When you get a diagnosis, you just get it, and leave. You never get educated on what it means. And I've been trying to find sources, but they're hard to find. Atypical helped me realise why I'm so obsessed with some things, why I have sensory issues, and why I like traditions (to name a few) And then I just relate to Sam, and I think a lot of autistic people do. It's the representation of autism which is rarely seen in media. (And then it helped me even more in figuring out my sexuality too, but that has nothing to do with this)

i thought after Sam and Paige broke up in season one, that maybe he would find another girlfriend but I'm glad Paige was still a recurring character because she is so funny and beautiful and their story is really fun. I know that comment came off as salty and I apologize, I’m sorry. my parents don't really have a great relationship with each other, my mom always goes to my brother(who has autism) and my dad goes to me. I don't have a great relationship with my mom, but my brother has a stable relationship with both. Whenever Casey gets angry, i relate so much. This show to me is basically my life in a nutshell.
Started binge watching this show a few days ago. I am HOOKED! I have a 5 year old son on the spectrum and to have a show like this, that all parents of ASD children can relate to, is a fantastic thing! It is so eye opening for everyone in the world around us and I am thankful for that. This young lady is correct when she says that those with Austism are amazing.
