One sweet thing I liked was how Izzie doesn't seem at all fazed by Sam. Whenever he says or does something that seems weird, she acts as if it's normal, because for him, it is. She even suggested something that made spending the night away from home easier. A lot of people wouldn't know how to react to Sam at first, even if they get used to him later, but Izzie treated him like anyone else from the start. And that's why I started to like her.
Same with Evan! When Evan and Casie broke up and Sam came up to him in the car telling him he wanted him to be his new Zahid, he didn't yell at him or anything. He said 'now's not really the time' , but then when Sam continued to talk he acknowledged it. :) that's why i love Evan.
Personally I didn’t like izzie. I don’t know why, but in my opinion she’s not a nice person. I think I don’t like her because I liked Casey with Evan and she ruined it. This is just my opinion so please don’t get annoyed with me :)
@@ForeverGirlbossing You can dislike or hate Izzie, but you can't deny that she didn't treat autism like an alien communication. I mean, yeah, she already knew about Sam because Casey had mentioned it, but when you see the way most people treat Sam when they don't know him, her interaction stands out as surprisingly natural for someone who's not directly socially connected to him.
why are u reading this sorry but Evan was different when first meeting sam. If you go back sam comes running out and yells something, I forget what it was but then Evan’s reaction was asking him what the hell was wrong with him.

I love this show so much. The sweetest moment for me was Sam and Zahid finally making up after the Gretchen incident. And I loved how casually Sam accepted Casey's sexuality too, and even drew her the gay penguins to support her.
I really like the scene in Season 1 when Evan stands up during dinner and reminds Casey’s parents that they have 2 children, not just Sam

I don't like how Casey treats her mom even before the affair. She acts like she's so bad and she's really a great mom. Random, but that always annoyed me.

I think even though she and Sam I really close and she with do anything for Sam, I think Casey is mad at her mom is bc Elsa focus more if not all the time when they were growing up and the affair was the straw that broke the camels back, this is especially true when u remember the dad was never like that and Casey’s more closer to him

@@alyssarose3880 I know that u know that but is someone super young like 3 or 4 gotta understand even if she was told multiple times by her parents she may not understand and that jealousy and maybe at embarrassment maybe a little girl won't really understand but understands to maybe just go with the flow with the family and those bad feels she had as kid don't really get a good outlet that may fester overtime and start coming out in a sort of way to deal with them and having surrogate to lash out in any small way to make up for it. Sam has such a beautiful life, has a great sister, great father, great friend, and of course, an amazing girl.
This has got to be my favorite Netflix exclusive so far. Everyone's heart is just so beautiful even Elsa.
My personal favorites are: when Sam bought Casey pencils and told her he's her older brother and he can take care of her too and when Evan fixed the hole on the wall without being asked to.
I think Elsa has a beautiful heart. She gave up so much of herself to take care of Sam. The husband didnt do that. I love all the characters on the show but he is definitely my least favorite!
@@cindylillibridge7546 It was her choice to "give up" too much. It's not right to demand the same thing from anyone else. The husband did make a mistake by leaving but caring for an autistic child is very difficult if I recall correctly the reason he left was not because of Sam but because Elsa was devoting all of her time to caring for Sam. He was struggling too but in the end, he chose to be with his family. What he did is not the same with having an affair. There are 3 other people in Elsa's family not just Sam.
@@bwane5961 I disagree. If the husband left, she had to carry the entire load herself. And he left when they were still trying to figure out what to do about Sam, before she started to devote all her time to him. I think what he did was worse, actually.
my favorite moment is when casey gives elsa a hug after she gives her advice about izzie and then elsa's like "well that was unexpected, can i have another" and casey's like "fine just one more!" so sweet

My favorite is when Casey and Izzie kissed each other at Casey's house and Sam saw them and asked at Casey if Izzie was her girlfriend and Casey questions to Sam if for him was a problem and he said no and showed to her 2 gay penguins and their child(Sphen,Magic and Sphengic)
the part where sam gets asked why he’s sad and he says “because i couldn’t tell zahid” that part was sad and i tested up a little

Snap, my favorite Paige moment didn't make the list. I love watching her finally admit the true struggles she had at college to Sam, but couldn't face him.
Me too, he holds her hand and shows he’s there for her and says he’s happy she’s back. They’re such a great couple I love them.
Finally a list on one of my favorite Netflix shows. As a person with Asperger's, I can totally relate to Sam, and this show only gets better throughout the seasons

I think that Sam meeting Stumpy face to face should have been included. It actually made me weep. Watching him pet her was the highlight of the season, in my humble opinion.

But could you guys compile the top 10 Sam-Casey sibling moments? That fraternal relationship is imo the most well-developed, beautiful and truthful bond on the show :)
This show is the most amazing thing I have watched in a few decades! I find myself chopping onions a lot, when I get wrapped up in the magnificence and beauty of Humankind as it has been illustrated and portrayed here. I guess I'm an old sap, who fell in love with shows like the "The Wonder Years" and "Quantum leap" for the kindness and good of people, that those series showcased so brilliantly and methodically. I will borrow this to attempt to make something with it, I hope that you don't mind. This was a great recap Video, Thank You.

I love Sam and Paige as much as the next hit there are so many other moments with Casey and Sam, Sam and his Dad, Casey and Evan (ugh when she stood for him against his dad especially) that deserved at least an honorable mention.

Been binge watching this show the last two days and it made me cry and furious at the same time. It is so heartfelt. It is so realistic. People hate and make fun of things they don't understand. I used to find Paige overbearing at first but I loved the way she always has Sam's back.
I LOVE this show SO MUCH and numerous times it makes me cry!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!! Everyone needs to watch it!!❤❤❤ The Silent Autism Friendly dance made me cry. With an autistic teen bothered by noise, it was totally relatable.

I started watching this show because I was under the impression that Casey & izzie were the main characters. I was honestly kind of disappointed when I found out they weren't.
But I have completely fallin in love with Sam. While the show doesn't get everything right about autism, sams character is so well written, & the actor does an amazing job.
Season 3 hasn't been put on Netflix in Australia yet but I really hope it will be soon.
Now pepole talk about "cazzzie" (casey&izzie) more than fo sam I've hardly seen stuff about sam when looking at other people's stuff online about atypical I understand alot of people like the "cazzie" ship but still...Sam is the main choice and pepole act like the show is about "cazzie" sometimes but I agree sam was favorite character and 2nd favorite character Was casey....Sam&casey were also portrayed as more realistic siblings who find joy in annoying each other and can be rude to each other but still love each other unconditionally

I totally relate to Zahid's situation with the biology teacher trying to persuade him to not become a nurse. In High School my Journalism teacher tried to persuade me to not study Journalism in college. But I just graduated this May. :)

This is one of my favorite shows ever especially because I'm on the spectrum so it's so relatable.
I started watching the show for Cazzie but I liked all of it so much that I finished it in 3 days. Both emotional and funny, great acting, not boring at all, portraits autism very well, all the characters are likeable and the struggles are realistic, I even like the penguin facts and the music that is put...in general awesome! Sucks that it doesn't get the recognition it deserves..

Man I’m so mad at myself for not watching this when it came out. This is a great show I just finished season 3 and I read that the 4th season will be the final. Great show and cast and storylines. I definitely think it could’ve lasted longer . Maybe showing Casey /Sam in college and graduating. Netflix always cancel good shows.

I know, but she felt that she would just be leading him on, and lying to herself about her feelings for Izzie. Evan will be fine, though, and I hope that he eventually finds someone else.

I hate that she broke up with him, too. They've done a great job portraying someone with autism. But to me their attempts to portray a gay relationship have fallen flat. Honestly I still don't want to watch a lesbian relationship, but I am trying to expose myself to these things until I find it normal. However, Izzie's character seems like a poor way to portray a relationship of any kind, let alone to generate acceptance of homosexuality. That relationship is toxic. I groaned everytime Casey chose Izzie over Evan because Evan was a good significant other and Izzie was not.

I don’t know if this is just me, but Cazzie felt really forced. Evan and Casey were going strong for almost two seasons. The holding hands in the car was the moment I realized that Evan was out the door.
I do have to admit, they’re pretty adorable.
I was so conflicted about that love triangle, for once it was actually a good one. I mean Evan is an amazing boyfriend and I love him, but Cazzie is gAy and I love gAy tOo
I didn't think Cazzie was forced, they developed their (romantic) relationship over a whole season, while Evan and Casey came together in less then two episodes. Don't get me wrong, I liked Casey and Evan together and I love Evan, he's such a good guy. But Casey hadn't enough romantic love for him to continue her relationship because of her long developed feelings for Izzie she couldn't deny any longer. They are better of as friends and I hope Evan still is in season 4 with his own storyline and maybe a person that is meant for him.

I think they missed out the scene when Sam is given to write about his greatest accomplishment for his college essay and he mentions that, having Zahid as his friend is his accomplishment.
