      Acts 2:38
      King James Version
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

@@bigsamtheevangelist5122 maybe you can help me cause im really confused on this particular subject. As I understand it, to repent in the greek is to change your mind. and salvation comes from faith in Jesus alone and belief in his resurrection from Romans 10:9 "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." and its literally that simple. The thief on the cross was not baptized.
Justification is through faith alone and there are many verses saying such:
Romans 5:1 - Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
      This one in particular:
Galatians 2:16 - Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Theres more but i already wrote you an essay im sorry about that

@@Nick-Kcin great question! Actually repentance and faith go hand in hand. That’s why we call men to repent and put their trust in Christ alone for salvation.
Repentance does mean a change of mind, it’s the abhorrence of ones sins, many fundamentalist claim repentance is a work but actually quite the opposite,
Repentance is only a condition of salvation and not its meritorious ground. The motives for repentance are chiefly found in the goodness of God, in divine love, in the pleading desire to have sinners saved, in the inevitable consequences of sin, in the universal demands of the gospel, and in the hope of spiritual life and membership in the kingdom of heaven.
This saving repentance is a gospel grace in which those who are made aware by the Holy Spirit of the many evils of their sin, by faith in Christ humble themselves for it with godly sorrow, hatred of it, and self-loathing. They pray for pardon and strength of grace and determine and endeavor by provisions from the Spirit to live before God in a well-pleasing way in everything.
So it’s a sinner having their minds changed and turning from their sins, and turning to Jesus Christ by faith for eternal life. When they believe in Christ for eternal life it’s clinging and trusting in His perfect work alone on the cross
