I’ve been paying down debt like a maniac these past current of weeks working overtime and throwing it towards debt. I’ve been saving my $1 bills and meal planning to save more money and it works 🎉 I highly agree about turning off the noise and muting people on social apps
Just a note with the loose change - take it to your bank (if possible) instead of a Coinstar. Coinstar charges a percentage fee, while your bank will not.
I stated putting a quarter in a jar everytime I use my washer & dryer. The money adds up. I take that money and go out and buy my laundry products that are on sale and I also use coupons. Right now on sale is buy one laundry detergent and get 2 free. To me it's a Win Win.
I don’t buy unnecessary things because truly we only need the necessities. So grateful to be able to afford the necessities and being able to save and go on a nice vacation yearly. 🎉
I've never called it that, but I'm loving the term pantry challenge! So thankful I had an emergency fund to help cover some recent car repairs, but looking to do exactly what you are talking about here and boost my savings for the rest of Juky and all of August to get my savings back on track
I live in Canada, where we have loonies and toonies (1 and 2 dollar coins). My husband and I pay with cash only, and ALL loonies and toonies go into the piggy bank. It adds up, and is pretty fun!
1. Have a no spend month. 2. Put reminders of your money goals in front of you. 3. Increase your automatic savings in small increments. 4. Save all loose change in a jar. 5. Get competitive. 6. Cut something from your budget & see if you miss it. 7. Do the pantry challenge. 8. Limit social media use. Everyone should be doing #3 nowadays. You can automate paying bills, investment allotments, putting money into savings accounts, etc. #4 - Paying with cash is dumb. I hate having to pull out extra money from an ATM when you can just use a debit card to pay the exact amounts. Even better would be to use a credit card because then you also get extra perks, but you can’t say that if you are a Ramsey Solutions NPC. 8 - That’s always a good idea. Social media is accelerating the downfall of Western society.
I agree. I NEVER use cash. I charge everything even if it is $1. We pay in full and rack up frequent flyer miles. We did home repairs and bought $2000 in Lowe's gift cards. We have used FF miles to go Iceland and Greece.
One thing, though - some businesses give you a discount if you pay in cash. Our new vet for our dogs gives us a discount every visit just for paying cash. @@robinbrandi4663
Here's an idea you may or may not like, but might be funny to try once: When people ask you what you want for your birthday, ask for the gift of cash, then put it in your account. It saves them effort and time and it boosts your savings!
every pay, transfer the remaining checking account balance to savings. it doesn't matter how small or large the amount is. developing the habit is what matters.
I cut out the soapies, when the other programs seasons ended, I didn't watch any other programs. In the end I gave the TV away and I don't miss it. My TV is RUclips
Making money is not the same as keeping it there is a reason why investments aren't well taught in schools, the examples you gave are well stationed, the market crisis gave me my first millions, people shy away from hard times, I embrace them..
This is superb! Information, as a noob it gets quite difficult to handle all of this and staying informed is a major cause, how do you go about this are you a pro investor?
Not at all, having monitored edge my portfolio performance which has made a jaw dropping $473k from just the past two quarters alone, I have learned why experienced traders make enormous returns from the seemingly unknown market. I must say it's the boldest decision I've taken since recently.
Do your homework and choose one that has strategies to help your portfolio grow consistently and steadily. ‘’Mary Onita Wier” is responsible for the success of my portfolio, and I believe she possesses the qualifications and expertise to meet your goals.
Thank you for this tip, I must say Mary appears to be quite knowledgeable. After coming across her online page, I thoroughly went through her resume, educational background, and qualifications, and I must say, it was quite impressive. I reached out to her, and I have booked a session with her.
I usually take a percentage of what I make and automatically put it into savings… I barely notice it and it keeps building in a high yield savings account.
Delete the app or better yet, cancel the subscription! We really don’t need what’s on there and can find better deals in store. :) It will save you thousands.
I need to do a no spend August because I went on vacation last week and spent more than I made making me over budget by enough to have a starter emergency fund and a little more. On top of that, I still owe an additional $1000 to my endodontist for a root canal I'm getting done. This will probably not work cuz I have a charitable donation that automatically comes out of my account every month and I also have insurance payments to make and tithing to my church to do. With the final crown being put on next month, it'll probably be another over budget month. So I'll aim for a no spend September if I can't do it in August.
Rachel, I’m all for adding to savings, but only if everything is paid off. If I am disciplined enough not to spend, that money is going to pay down debt. Maybe I’m looking at this as a person who has a nice savings account and no car and mortgage payment. But I do have debt and that’s my goal😀
I have been using round up accounts. Even though I am still paying of debt the small amount of change going into separate accounts are the start of savings accounts and does build up. X
Leave your wallet at home, hide it away in the loft out of sight challenge for as long as possible until you need restock the refrigerator and refill the gas tank of your vehicle
We have been saving for almost a decade like this more out less. The inflation comes right out of our savings. Psychologically it is tough. Looking for new ways. I dare not touch my pantry as we buy on sale and store, it in a sense is a savings account.
I love the grounded reality of this channel!!!, Despite the recession, I'm so happy withdrawing $40K weekly profit out of my investment I can now afford anything and also support Charity Organizations.
I pay cash for groceries, gas, etc… if I receive a $5 bill in change, I put it in a jar and at the end of the year I usually have $300!!!
I do this too and just took $250 to the bank! 🎉
OMGoodness- LOVE the blue gingham dress 👗💕
God Bless 🙏🏻😇

It is only $2 on $299 worth of coins we don’t miss it
Yep, I roll my loose change myself so that I get all the money out of it…My bank gives me the coin wrap papers for free!
@@cherylT321the coin wrappers they give is garbage. I just buy them at the dollar tree.
Another way to save, take the money you were going to spend on an item and transfer it to your savings. You got this!!!😊

In restaurants order iced tap water as a drink - it is free!
The pantry cooking has saved me a lot...also sharing the commute and putting half the petrol money instantly into savings.
We are having a no Starbucks July. I hope we go longer!
I noticed a huge change just by eliminating take-out from my budget. It was a game changer and I don't miss it.
Yup! It’s like giving yourself a raise 😅
Way to go alice

Use the library more! I just checked out Two movies instead of renting them.

This year, I started saving all my single dollars and loose change. It's been a fun game for my daughter and I to save 😊
Great ideas. Especially since we are looking towards retirement in a few years.

Thank you. You reminded me to check our checking account balance. I was able to transfer ½ the balance into our savings account.
Good points! Putting money into savings instead if sitting in a checking account is a good one.

No spend month? We have been doing that for almost 6 months now.
I saved up my lose change over the years. Then I wanted to find out how much I had, it was like $747. Save a little here and there, it just adds up
