Fun fact! Hoshi’s stylists HATED him during Clap era because during the kick in the first verse, he would kick his leg so high that he CONSTANTLY ripped his pants. His kicks were basically parallel with his torso so king of high kicks but also PLEASE CALM DOWN HOSHI!!
Another fun fact: The part of the choreography where Vernon was doing his solo part during the last chorus, whenever they performed Clap live, Vernon could freestyle literally anything during that part of the choreography and Seventeen had to copy it.

vernon's part always changes in the presentation, he do some random movements and the other members just following what vernon's do in the moment, is really funny when he does twerk or someting like that and the others members just follows him
And they're always synchronized while doing it too 😂 like do they decide before the show what kind of foolishness they're gonna get up to or do they just *know* 😂😂

6:52 - for Vernon's solo, nowadays he kinda freestyles it and the members will just copy whatever he does no matter how dumb;; always fun at concerts

if you didnt notice, this whole concept is like a tribute to them self-producing everything, the concept of the mv was they work as employees of SVT (Specialized Videotape Technology) and as you can see the scenes were like a set of a movie and a producing company. you’ll see the members being tiny creatures that are working. it kind of shows how they are in control of everything they produce !!
this has a lot of references and im not good at listing them but yeah it’s all over the music video !! ♥️ hope you will see and appreciate those details too, this was such a fun concept back then for carats 🔥 and the buildup of this from change up -> trauma -> lilli yabbay -> pinwheel was the best !!

Jeff, just like how you said you’ve done so many of these videos that you’ve run out of things to say- I feel like I keep saying the same thing on all your Seventeen reactions: I LOVE THEM AND KEEP THEM COMING! Loved how you kept replaying their little musical jump before the dance break. I feel like that part gets overlooked a lot! And I love all the Hoshi love that you gave! I feel like he’s such an underrated dancer in the industry and he’s never talked about in discussions of the best dancers in KPOP when he really is one of them...
I know you still have a lot of reactions to go for Seventeen but I noticed Mansae and Oh My aren’t on your google sheet for them. Please add these to the list if you can! They give off musical and fresh vibes and both are some of my favorite SVT title tracks and eras from them. (: You won’t be disappointed!

I always have thought that it's very difficult to show the same feeling that Seventeen do I mean their energy and the chemistry between them is so sick I really love them so much... Also I recommend you " Oh my" and "Good to me" ( this doesn't have mv but it's one of my favorite choreographies and dance practice)

You should react to Dino danceology... He is one of the main dancers in SVT and personally a think he has the best control over sharp moves and facial expressions. I love your reactions and explanations

Hoshi is the Main Dancer as well as the Performance Team Leader, Woozi is the Vocal Team Leader while S.Coups is the Hiphop Team Leader and the General Leader of Seventeen.
As for the proper use of the number of members, during their debut Adore U, they changed their choreo nearly every week for the beginning and ending parts. You'll have fun watching it I swear!!!
and when you react to pretty U, I recommend you watch the dance practice in two ver. ( took from front, took from back)
I was waiting for the random stuff to happen at the beginning of the dance practice where they're just fooling around and I was shook when the song began playing immediately haha
Also when you were talking about them being super flexible, I remembered the moments when Hoshi almost goes into a split at the beginning of the first chorus and ripped his pants because of how high he kicked in performances lol.
the thing about jeff's reaction videos is it's full of genuine appreciation, random dance trivias, explanations, and basically just a wholesome reaction vid, never half-as$ed, not a self-promotion disguised as RV which i've seen with some content creators, not saying it's bad but y'know, it just doesn't sit right with some of the fans sometimes. One of my favorite dances of SVT! Every stage performance of Clap is just too charistmatic.
And my horangdan heart has been full for the past reaction vids of yours Jeff...seeing that you already recognized the difference in Hoshi's moves~~ Of course each SVT member are great dancers, just that hehe I'm kind of want Hoshi to receive some appreciation when it comes to dance and choreo stuff.

*fun fact:*
*the Clap MV actually contains a lot of inside jokes and meanings, like literally almost ever second of the video has a corresponding meaning. it was basically a collection of all the MVs they've released prior to Clap, it also emphasised in the MV the fact that they are a self-producing group as well as how hard is it to produce your own music and create your own group choreo*
there was a part on the MV where the vocal unit were presenting their unit songs (they composer) to Hoshi (portraying the role of the CEO) and he mercilessly rejected them while he willingly accepted the songs presented by the perfomance unit (his unit) lmaooo this is just one of the many inside jokes there

I don't know if anyone already said this in the comments, but the fact that the Vernon part at the end of the song is really cool because the members will follow the movements that Vernon does. You have to see all the seventeen live stage when they sing this song.

Fact: They have a B-side track named Without You. Hoshi choreographed it to make its opening start from the position of them at the end of Don't Wanna Cry and it ends in the position of the start of Clap.
jeff you absolutely NEED to watch Chungha's Play choreo, the dance practice has been released and i smiled SO MUCH watching it!! it's such a spectacle it's like this giant mix of hip hop, latin, and ballroom PLUS her ballroom partner has a hearing impairment- seeing her so close with all her backup dancers just makes me so so happy :)

Idk why but the way you yell "Lego!" is somehow so cute haha. Those legos are actually references to their previous music videos. The top is "Trauma" from the Hip Hop Unit and the bottom is "Change Up" from the Leader Line. Both doesn't have any choreography to it, but they do have MVs and I love both songs so feel free to check those out whenever you want to!

The Lego part was from 'Change up' and 'Trauma' - lower one was 'Change up', SVT leaders inside white box and upper part was 'Trauma', Hip-hop unit members on the top of the white box

Jeff! Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts on CLAP! And yeah Hoshi is that powerful every time he does that centre part on the first reff lol (He LOVES to flex there lol, if you watch his CLAP focus fancam in SVT concerts, he usually does that part very extra aggressive and does the kick extra high--very satisfying) and yes Hoshi is the main dancer!

fyi, the ending pose and the beginning pose of don't wanna cry - without you - clap are connected. So the ending pose of dwc is the beginning of without you, and the ending pose of without you is the beginning of clap :) they're so genius.
Seventeen has come far but their performance has been the best since the beginning. 🙌🏻

Yes I get what you mean (that jump). Side effect of being a “low impact” instructor. You just have to take the “hop” out of everything but it’s like “intensity x 10,000”...totally splits your body in half cuz you’re pushing your centre of gravity down HARD but lifting everything REALLY high!
Clap MV used a lot of things from their previous MVs the lego represent the song ‘Trauma’ & ‘Change Up’ the the compass, the shopping cart and other things in the MV hold a significant part in their past MV

It's considered a generally happy song, but because of the electric guitar it gives dark vibes as well. I think I've actually never seen Seventeen repeat themselves musically, they always try new stuff within their signature style!

Jeff, Jun has the least lines in the song but he gives the strong and powerful presence of the choreo when he is in the center position. There are quite a number of SEVENTEEN songs having Jun as center position :)

There are actually a bunch of cool references and Easter eggs in this MV(sorry for the long comment) 🙏🏽
Starting off, after everyone walks into the building you can see Mingyu teasing Woozi by doing arm stretches above his head 😆.
At the beginning the sign on the building says Specialized Videotape Technology Inc (SVT). Its also seen on the wall of the main dance scene. When Hoshi sings his line he's wearing his outfit and sitting in the car from the Change Up MV. You can also see Woozi carrying a car that looks similar to the one from Adore You.
Different tapes labeled as songs of theirs appear throughout the MV(Change Up, Lilili Yabbay, Trauma, Pinwheel). The legos they were looking at referenced the Leader Unit's song Change Up and HipHop team's Trauma. During the bance break they give us finger hearts uwu.
At the end when S.coups jumps into everyone's arms for a photo they reference the beginning of the Mansae video where he did the same thing!
