just bought a G400 3 wood, after seeing a few other fairway wood comparison tests- I was looking for an easier 3 wood to hit off the deck, and apparently the higher spin seemed to help those testers. Forgiveness was not so important in my selection. Anyway took one out for a test and certainly it is great of the deck, and its in the bag. Never had any issue with forgiveness either so that is good

I tried some 3 woods recently and the m4 and scrixon z f65 came out on top. Stats gave scrixon a slight advantage but m4 felt amazing. 4 yrs. playing now, mid handicapper.

Excellent video...I would be curious to see if the SFT makes any difference but in my book the M4 is more forgiving and easier to hit.

Got custom fit for a M4 3HL wood about a month ago. Have been hitting it really well. But the rest of my clubs are Ping and I kinda regretted not getting the G400. This has put my fragile golf mind to rest! Thanks, and great review.

Just one man’s opinion. I enjoy this club set at 14.5 and a swing speed of 78 to 80. Works great for me.

I suggest the Straight flight technology Ping G 400 3 Wood then. The first time I tried them they went straight down the middle. Great clubs. I have one in the bag. Its great. No issues. Spider Dubiel

Needed this video...went back in time to see your videos and found this one. I just switched from a M3 driver to an G400 Max because it’s easier to hit the fairway but I was thinking about switching to the g400 fairway also but I like my M4s fairways So after your review...I can see that I don’t need to try and switch to match them up if I’m hitting the M4 good and it’s forgiving I’m gonna stick with it thank you!

I got the G400 3 wood after testing other makes. I must have been striking it well that day because later I have found that off centre hits are really punished, big hooks or weak slices. Hit it in the middle and it feels awesome though. In summary, if you are a great ball striker the G400 may be for you, if not then beware.

KingSadim yeah I’d agree. Seems strange doesn’t it as Ping are usually very forgiving. Thanks for sharing! Hope your enjoying the content!

I tested both. I have an inside out swing and typically draw my woods. I crushed the m4 270 straight, but was all over the place with it for most miss hits. A deviation of 30-40 yds . The ping went 250 (give or take 10 yds) almost every time. All my miss hits with the g400 were a very tight spread I was either 10yds left or right. Maybe 15yds left with too much draw. I got the g400 for consistency. I think g400 doesn’t have as much heat as the m4 , but for my swing the ping was the one.

I don't like big clunky heads how do u get that on the back of a ball... I don't understand that... I know it is preference.... So, I have gone back to my very very old Callaway Razor clubs. For the hybrids the club sits below the ball. That is key for me. I have newer clubs but they sit in the closet. Club headbsize is huge. Didn't know how lucky I was with the razors. Might try an older TM 5 wood with a smaller club face.

I just tested the M2, Rogue, and G400 5W and the G400 won hands down. Higher swing speed, ball speed, tight deviation, and was smashing it straight even hitting low on the club face. I left the store with the G400. Swing each about 8-10 times. The G400 felt best in my hands as well

You should hit the G400 at it’s 14.5 setting - they put it there for a reason.

WorstGamer Evah but that would make it even less forgiving? They put it there to act stronger and go further. Thanks for watching hope your enjoying the rest of the channel 😀👍🏼
