    Beautiful bike, the only thing surprising about is it is the use of flats for a XC bike vs clipless but I guess that's a rider preference thing LOL.

      I was literally coming here to say the same exact thing... Owner must like spending money, but not actually ride fast...

    • @ВатутинПавел-р5э
      @ВатутинПавел-р5э Год назад

      and that massive stem - i think the owner isn't in cross country

    • @ВатутинПавел-р5э
      @ВатутинПавел-р5э Год назад

      Also the the saddle is probably not for cross country and rotors are huge

    • @BuildaBetterBike
      @BuildaBetterBike  Год назад +3

      The saddle is a titanium XC saddle. The stem is incredibly light and is also for XC. The rotors are correct for the fork and frame.

    Did you need 3mm and a 7.5mm spacer on the bottom bracket to support the MTB wide chainline?

    Oh my, fella, would love to send you my bike! It's a Huffy I've had since 1991 that my dad got me for Christmas. I didn't always love it because it has pink in it and girl bar, haha ;)
    I kept it as an adult and I'd have company and they'd say it was tiny for a 10-speed. I eventually saw it next to a normal size 10 speed and I finally fell in love with it realizing the care my dad took to make sure it was size appropriate (I'm 4'9"). It's deteriorated a lot, but I'm determined to get it back road ready.
    I've been taking a career break since I lost this amazing man, but when I'm back up and running, you'll hear from me. I'm overwhelmed looking for someone here in Austin. As always, fantastic work!

    very nice 👍 - I have the base EVO frame and would like to replace the brakes. It looks really smooth and easy in your video to push through the backside brake cable. Is it really like this or are there some hurdles on the way to the exit on the top of the frame 🦴🛠 ? Thanks!

    And the chainring is 0 offset or 3 offset?? Thanks!!

      I run the XTR 9120 on my epic evo if that helps you find numbers for the right sram crankset. I believe they're Q factor 168.

    The build is a beaut. If you were building this bike for yourself, what would you change?

    • @BuildaBetterBike
      @BuildaBetterBike  Год назад +1

      I probably wouldn't spend the money for a Reverb dropper. Instead, I would upgrade to the XX AXS groupset. Other than that, this is the build I would build for myself.
