Some do it as a Monthly Spread and others do it as a Zodiac Spread. Love how you displayed both styles of the Wheel of the Year and the Monthly Spread. I prefer to do it as a Monthly Spread whenever I have done it. Of course, when I look forward anymore, I usually use a regular playing card deck using Ana Cortez' style that was developed by her father who was a master card reader and so is she too now. I have my own system for interpreting the cards, going back to spades being leaves (i.e. spade leaf trees) and clubs being flowers (i.e. club is the French word for clover) and hearts being apples (i.e. it's where we get the classic shape of a heart, known as a cardioid) and diamonds representing thoughts and etc.; and I also count the Jokers. But generally, there are fifty-two weeks in a year, and also fifty-two cards in a playing card deck (i.e. or you could look at it as moon phases, or a number of a card could be looked at as the number of weeks in a season, and etc.). I have incorporated what she has done into my own practice. For example, say you cut the deck directly in the middle, you would flip over the card on top of the second half leaving it where it is and then put the top half of the deck back on top of the bottom half. Now that you would have that done, take the top four cards off the top like flipping the pages of a book, and interpret them. The first card is the week you are currently in rate now as we speak. The second card is the week after this week. And so on and so forth. Once you have interpreted those four cards, which stands as your foundation to the reading, take the next four cards off the top but leave them face down. Repeat this process until you reach the card you flipped over in the middle. If you are left with just two cards, plus the one you originally flipped over, they are counted as the final three weeks of the reading as a whole. You only interpret the first four cards, and the final group of cards. Each set of four cards is counted as a single month's worth of time. So if you have seven sets of four cards, which includes the first set that you interpreted while counting the final set of three cards, that's seven months and three weeks away from the time of the reading. Another way that I have incorporated into my own practice that she has done, is known as the Tower Spread, and it is quite a powerful read on someone from my own experience. Again, shuffle the cards, but don't cut the deck. Then take four cards off the top flipping them once more as like flipping the pages of a book. Lay the second on top of the first, the third on top of the second, and the fourth on top of the third; leaving enough space to know which number and suit each card is; like making the shape of a tower as they lay on the surface you are using. The top card is the head and it's where the person's head space is at and what their thoughts are and etc., the second card is the throat and what kind of things they have been talking about and etc., the third card is the tummy and it's all about their emotions and etc., and the fourth card are the legs and feet and it's what actions they are taking and where they are going and etc. If all black cards show up, then you know they are a very introverted person and they like to be secretive, but if all red cards show up they are more extroverted and open about things. And you can also know where they are being secretive and where they are being open about things. In general, you can know a lot about a person in just these simple four cards, their situation, and etc. P.S. They have a Smoke Ash & Embers deck now in case you didn't know.
Thank you :) . I think the Wheel of the Year reading can work so well with my magickal practice, while the Year Ahead reading can be ideal for a more physical manifestation basis. I personally loved the multi-dimensional reading I had with you. It was really special. :) I would love to know more about the Deste and Geomancy readings and how they are different from tarot/oracle/rune readings.
I enjoy doing both of these readings. I put a twist with the "yearly reading" and make it more astrological. The 8 sabbats reading I align with the most because of the seasonal energies. Have you worked on one of these readings, yet? Thank you as always, Kelly!😊
I use them every year and have done them a lot for clients! I do a tarot year ahead and either an animal or runic wheel, I might do a "grandmother" wheel this year with the Weavers Oracle!
@@TheTruthinStory I like that idea .. "grandmother" (wise woman) wheel reading with the Weavers Oracle. If you do, I hope you decide to share the reading with us. :)
Will you please show us the process of you journaling your readings for 2023 in your diary like you showed us with the pictures of the cards? That would be a great video to watch!!! Such a pretty spread. Could you please do a video explaining why some people see Pages as all being earth and others as all having air? And the same with the Kings, why air or earth??? I think air for Pages because they have a lot to learn and earth for Kings because of wanting real world results. What do you think? And could it include the fire for Knights and water for Queens and what it is to be fire of water (Knight of cups) and how that differs to water of fire (Queen of wands)? Thank you
Can we purchase the printout sheet for the year ahead and the wheel of the year readings for home use? I would love to do my own reading but find your sheet to be super helpful afterwords!
Thank you for this video!
Thank you, great summary and cleared my confusion
Very helpful thank you
Thank so much Kelly!
Thank you for sharing this 🙏.
