More Gimme Gimme Gimme is always welcome, it's so underrated, if you do carry on with them, it's probably best to watch them in order. It's not essential that you do this, but if remember correctly, there are a few times they make comments about things that have happened in previous episodes.

I've always loved this show. I think the 2 leads James Dreyfuss and Kathy Burke are superb. It gets better with every episode in my opinion. My favourite is 'sofa man', the 6th episode of the 2nd series. That is hilarious 🤣
It only gets better up until the 3rd series in my opinion. From Season 3 the show moved from BBC2 to BBC1 and the tone felt...off. I can’t remember exactly what she said but I remember either Kathy Burke or James Dreyfus (think it was Kathy though) giving an interview about it and how they weren’t pleased with how they were forced into the show going the way it did in the third series. They stopped making them after that.

He mentions Jill Dando at 5:03, she was a famous TV news anchor/journalist who was shot dead not long after this episode came out and they've still never caught who did it.
I had a roommate 15yrs ago who was a drag queen and often dressed as Linda, He looked exactly like her.
He would put on shows where he danced and sang the theme song and took part in a few drag competitions, he got loads of attention. Fun times.

This sitcom is so subtlety English that no one else in the world can understand it.
Australians can, we all do a stint in the UK and have a the same sense of humour, Americans just dont get it the same way.

Two sitcoms about a gay man and a straight, single woman. Made around the same time. The USA had Will and Grace and the UK had Gimme, Gimme, Gimme.
I never liked Will and Grace but I loved Gimme Gimme Gimme when I was a kid, guess it's cause I'm British lmao

As an American lover of all things British, I have to say this is a treat, first time I'm seeing this show! I recognized James Dreyfus instantly, but I have to say he looks better as a brunette. Kathy Burke threw me though, with that horrible red mop and the glasses, but when I heard her voice I had an Edina Monsoon moment, pointing at my computer screen saying "I know you!"

@@cockoffgewgle4993 Transatlanic 'cross-fertilisation' of ideas during the writing and production phases was pretty common back then, so it could have gone either way, I guess. When you sum it up, both shows were so egregious, there's very little in the way of national pride at stake here!

The gay actor always seem to play gay roles but he did a comedy drama where he played a gay bloke who had a lookalike who was a gangster, he layed both parts, he was convincing as a tough guy, can't remember the name of the show.

In the first episode Beryl said the basement flat was empty even know the same day susie and Jez showed up and had been working on the flat... this episode Linda was listening to the ground at Suze and Jez, yet their door was next door to Linda and Toms??

I feel like you should do an episode of My Hero. There's the Ardal O'Hanlon (Father Dougal) series then James Dreyfus (Tom in this show) took over, but it got cancelled
It also starred Hugh Dennis playing a doctor (similar to what he does in Not Going Out)
Talking of Not Going Out, I'm not sure if you've done that show yet. There are different stages of the show. The one before Lucy was in it, them Miranda Hart was in for a bit, and Katy Wix, then Tim Vine left and Hugh Dennis joined, then Lee's character hit married and had kids
I'd also like to see you react to Goodnight Sweetheart. For that the two female characters were played by different actresses later on
My Hero was a great series. I like Dreyfuss but the show was doomed the moment O'Hanlon left.
It also advanced too far when they had a second child and tried to expand the law of their young abilities.

Definitely would love to see you react at some point (maybe after dealing with Father Ted) a reaction to My Hero. It was a sitcom in early 2000s where an alien superhero (sort of similar to Superman) falls in love with and marries an earth woman. It stars Ardal O'Hanlon as the superhero and is really funny. It focuses more on the domestic side of stuff more than superhero stuff.
Also if you get a chance to check out Death in Paradise. It is an ongoing BBC detective series. Not strictly a comedy but it does feature a lot of funny moments and stars (for the first 7 series anyway) Danny John-Jules (Cat from Red Dwarf). You also have as the lead detective (in different series) 4 different actors, including Ardal O'Hanlon again and Ralph Little (Anthony from The Royle Family)
