Ah, this still makes me happy to watch! This was both the first Super Sentai series I watched and watched to the end courtesy of TV-Nihon in 2007 and it remains my favorite. The characters are likable and work hard to advance, all have good arcs of growth, the villains are really good, and it's generally both a fun watch and a good story, IMO. Good cast, too. I'm overdue to watch this again, I think.

Hold up, this sentai only had 5 rangers! ...and to a lesser extent, two stowaways(referring to both Rio and Mele). You morph by using the Gekichangers, not a pair of sunglasses at night. I'm talking about Pow... I mean "Jyuuken Sentai Gekiranger". But when we get a certain Ultrazor- er, final robo; it's the one mecha that's piloted by both heroes and villains. A sentai where a P.R. powered by his or her spirit animal unexpectedly joins forces with their archenemies when they are supposed to be battling them. Is that a yin-yang ☯ gimmick?
I swear Gekiranger is such a badass Sentai! Plus the opening is a certified classic. I may rewatch it again
