Hi Tom, I just wanted to say a huge thank you for all your videos on thr Enneagram. I have been silently watching your channel for a long time and have learned alot. One day I was bored and decided to do a personality test, found out I was a type 6, went on RUclips and discovered your channel which opened up a new interest for me. You are my go-to for anything Enneagram. I enjoy watching all your videos because its so interesting but also helpful to really delve deeper into why people do the things they do and think the way they think. You have helped me become more open-minded and able to notice what might be going through the mind of someone of a certain type. I just wanted to say a huge thanks for helping us all understand each other a little better and build a stronger connection. Keep up the great work
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled to hear that the videos have helped you discover your Enneagram type and sparked a new interest. It's all about understanding ourselves and each other better!
The set up behind you looks nice. The bookshelves are nice and not distracting. Also good color value contrast with the light and darker shades of color.
My son is a type 1 and it makes me laugh too. When I was looking up type 1 enneagram info...youtube was bringing up type 1 diabetes info because I didn't type it in correctly.
Time 27:40. I have a problem with this advice. Maybe I'm the problem, I remember however that right next to them is the sin of a 2 (pride). If its "too much" for them, thats a result of a weakness or blindspot. I believe it's absolutely necessary to criticize regardless of their emotions. I hold people according to the standards uttered from their lips. Aka, "If you say you're a Christian, be one." Thank you for all you do, keep it up. 😊
I appreciate your perspective! It's important to hold ourselves and others accountable while also considering the impact of our words. Striking that balance can be tough, but it's a worthy pursuit!
Tom have you notice many people get the type 1 when they do the enneagram test for the first time? I feel like so many peopke see themselves like very responsable, perfeccionist etc like 1. Not that you cannot be that way but I feel 1 is tougher than other types on that subject.
That's an interesting observation! The Enneagram can definitely bring out those responsible and perfectionist traits, especially for newcomers. It's always a journey of self-discovery!
I have a good friend who might be a SX1 with whom I had a conflict and I feel he still has some resentment against me. It is painful because he has turned cold and moody but I do value his friendship and want to get along with him. Is there any SX1 who could maybe share some tips about how to make it right again with someone like you? 😅 We already talked and I recognized my mistake, did some changes but resentment seems to be there still.
It sounds like you’ve taken a great first step by recognizing your mistake and making changes. Sometimes, it just takes time for feelings to heal. Keep being patient and open in your communication, and hopefully, the friendship will mend!
Thank you so much for your support! I’m excited to dive into videos 4 and 7, and I appreciate your patience. Sending love back to you in South Korea! 🫶

I am a type 1 diabetic and these titles always make me laugh, I'm a 9 so it's always nice to be reminded of my neighbors :).

I’m a Type 1 learning how to lean into my 7! 🥰
That's awesome! Embracing your 7 can really add some fun and spontaneity to your Type 1 nature. Keep exploring that side of yourself!
