  • The fortified church of Hosman
The fortification was built at the foot of the hill and surrounded a Romanesque church built around 1270. It originally had three naves, an altar apse and a five-tiered belfry. The late Romanesque portal has a decoration similar to those at Avrig, Săcădate and Toarcla, all influenced by the construction site of the Cathedral in Alba Iulia, where German or Austrian masons came. Some craftsmen or journeymen from Vienna who could not find work on the construction site at Alba Iulia tried to earn their money in the village and thus arrived at Hosman, where they erected the great portal, modeled after the Cathedral of Saint Stephen in Vienna.
The fortification of the evangelical church in Hosman consists of two enclosures of circular walls that surround the place of worship. The tower - entrance gate is raised on three levels and has a defense harrow in the north-west part in the confluence area of the two enclosures delimited by the defense walls. In the inner defense precinct there are other defensive constructions such as two raised squares on three levels as well as a fortified house. The walls of the enclosure have a height of 7 - 8 meters, of which 3 meters are made of stone, the rest being renovated with brick and stone.
