I had a really used/gross copy of We Were the Mulvaneys ages ago and got rid of it. I couldn't get the smell of cigarettes out of it (I think it was a book sale find). I attempted to read Oates's first novel and go in publication order, but I didn't really like it. Think I'll find this one from the library! I loved seeing your puppo get a bath 🙂
