Oh come on. You’re going to deny them 3 seconds of ceremonial behaviour at a graduation CEREMONY? Never been to a graduation ceremony where at least a few kids didn’t dance or strut or do a cartwheel. For many young adults, graduation is their biggest achievement and the happiest day of their lives. There are thousands of videos on RUclips from Universities across the world with graduates doing all sorts of crazy celebrations, usually receiving friendly reactions from crowd and the academic staff present.
I’m honestly not going to make a racial issue out of this...I’ll just comment by saying...college graduation for most people is different than highschool or grade school...because YOU freaking pay for it...I graduated from Rutgers University and I paid my way through college...unfortunately my parents were not in a financial situation to do so...More importantly the University of Florida is a notorious party school...that coupled with the fact that most of these students paid their way through school and will continue to pay for the foreseeable future...let them celebrate however they see fit as long as it’s not excessive.
It's called Africans expressing themselves. They were happy to graduate so what's the problem? Let them celebrate Florida....opps you hate the fact that these African American students are elevating socially.
Deviant Affinity it all started after the white kid backflip everyone after, white and black ,were being rushed after that. Dont believe anything these idiots say without your own investigation. THEY ARE RACEBAITERS.
TruculentRuminavi I know they race bait from, er... time to time? Hyperbolic issues are what they usually deal in. And it does NO favors to the real issues we still have with racism. But here on RUclips, I can't find a video of any white kid being moved off the stage. No where. Not even from someone in the crowd. I just don't see the issue here, so long as the dance steps are moving to exit, stage left. That said, what I would like to see, at least, is the same staff member reacting to the backfliping kid. Maybe he wanted to shuffle him off, but stopping a backflip just gets youre teeth kicked out.
the black kids were strolling (its a Black Fraternity/ sorrority thing) its like stepping and dancing while moving. I did it when i crossed the stage at my graduation. It does not hold up graduation because its done while moving. You can tell what Frat they in my the stoles around they neck its a real big deal to Black fraternitys
@rollingcan: You probably know, but most of the people currently active here are organized trolls. By this time I even recognize which one specialize in what... which is a bit disturbing, but this "wave" is usually about stirring racial tensions and saw them targeting countries in Europe in the past (Poland, Sweden, etc.)
@The Young Turks I'm a student at UF, and I was at the ceremony because my roommate was graduating, I agree that it was too aggressive, but I don't think it was a racial thing. At least not consciously. The backflip guy WAS ushered off of the stage, so it's important to recognize that. The news story makes it out to be more violent and racial than it actually was. (And I'm not trying to say that it was okay, because it definitely wasn't. I'm just saying that it is being twisted for the story). Pretty much everyone who slowed down or paused on the stage was ushered off, and I think it was because they were concerned about time or something. The people working at this particular graduation ceremony handled it poorly. this was the graduation ceremony for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, which is one ceremony out of many that took place over the whole weekend. The other ceremonies went smoothly without incident, so this isn't representative of UF, but rather those men who were working.
@@ambercolbert I'm saying they were doing it to everyone who didn't walk across the stage quickly, regardless of race. Yeah, I think most people in America are unconsciously racist too, but this incident didn't seem to have racial bias when I witnessed it. Just shitty people prioritizing efficiency over letting students have their moments.
@@ambercolbert I feel like you didn't really read my comments. They weren't treating white people differently, the people running that ceremony were just shitty. I'm definitely not trying to defend them, I was just giving my perspective as someone who was there and saw the whole thing unfold, because it's clear that TYT was relying on videos and select testimonies from graduating students. Im sure many of those guys who put their hands on students have implicit biases, since literally everyone does, and I won't deny that I do as well, although I'm a BLM ally who actively tries my best to listen to the black community. This graduation ceremony was a dumster fire and was ruined for many many people due to those worker's actions. I dont believe they were racially motivated, but that doesn't take away from how shitty they were.
You guys get a lot of mindless trolls but it's difficult to defend you with something like this. This video is some of the worst journalism I've ever seen. A five second clip with no context, which tells us absolutely nothing. What the hell were you thinking?
This is ridiculous. They could have stopped the ceremony and laid down the rules. Why would anyone think it’s ok to forcefully put your hands on another individual? These are grown people who paid tens of thousands of dollars for an education. Yet, some random White guy is tossing them like he’s a bouncer at a club? I hope they all press assault charges and sue the damn University. What kinda bullish-? I don’t condone the inconvenience. However, two wrongs don’t make a right. You don’t get to assault me because I’m taking too long.
Yes, Leslie, make sure you get the RACE of the guy who was doing the escorting off stage out there, I mean, we don't ever want people to forget what evil racists WHITE people are, do we?
Midnight Wanderer, I'm with you, friend. Had one of those bullies put a hand on me, he would have had his arm broken & stuffed up his ass. ROTC training, put to it's proper, Defensive use. Although paraphrased, here is how the Law reads in many jurisdictions; If one is being assaulted or find themselves in the unlawful grasp of another person, one can use, "whatever force is necessary, to free themselves from that grasp." Unless noted for a specific jurisdiction, this includes unlawful arrest by Police. One is pushing their luck with Police, in this regard, for they may escalate the situation, so that they can just shoot you & their problem is solved.
Ok my high school told all our graduating class that if you do anything stupid in your seat or on stage then you will be thrown out by force by either a teacher or the cops
How in the hell can a simple few dance moves take up to much of the ceremony time, its not like they were giving a long speech and were taking up alot of time in doing so,this was absolutely ridiculous and absolutely racist for targeting black students only, this is the America we live in folks, where racism has always been and will probably always be...
its all about stupid traditions....in my opinion dressing up people with black or purple robes and silly hats is on its own a stupid thing. People see a ''different tree'' and miss a crooked forest...lol Yea.....dancing is wrong.....but being dressed like a moron is ok...
creamsykle three problem is that they ONLY shoved and pushed the black people, everyone else was allowed to do whatever they want, THERE WAS NO VIOLENCE AT ALL, and that is RACISM at its finest, why are you punishing one group of people and not the other? STFU if you don't know what you're talking about
Everyone who was pushed off stage needs to sue the university now. And make sure your student loans are forgiven in full. Because in all reality you students are paying customers.
A way to ensure that no one is treated differently is to send the degrees OR give everyone an alloted time on stage to do their thing... 10 seconds 20 seconds whatever... just 100 % EQUAL - I have problems with people not having an EQUAL opportunity... the fact that some white guy cut a flip and nothing happened is appalling. (should have been treated EXACTLY the same)
Rules for commenting on TYT videos: 1. Never watch the whole video (especially when hosts make qualifying statements) 2.If title has your tigger words, such as black, women, or minority, thumb down vid 3. Immediately post your uninformed grievance in the comments
At my HBCU mostly all of us did our little dances black and white it didn't matter . It's not stopping or slowing the program because its like a 3 to 4 sec movement being done as you walk the stage.. Those kids/adults worked hard and should be able to briefly express their joy... It actually seemed that by trying to rushed them off stage caused the hold up...
They're right. You never touch anyone. That is assault whether it's subconsciously racially motivated or not. We see this at so many graduation's and it's rude, but you NEVER put your hands on anyone. If it was racially motivated, then we need to have more evidence, especially if there were thousands of people who could've been recording the event. Usually, some of these schools record the whole commencement ceremony. A pattern needs to be shown to determine misconduct by a staff member or many staff members. If it were me, I'd consider pressing charges against the person/people and maybe even the school, even if what I did is socially inappropriate, your graduation is supposed to be a "safe" place. If a person brought a gun and started using it, we wouldn't tolerate such violence. Putting your hands on anyone unprovoked is violent. The person or people doing this were wrong for doing so to the graduating students, no matter their color. Idk when this event occurred, but it's a lesson in how things should/shouldn't be handled. Social justice is not the same as criminal justice. We can't allow this just because some people decided to break a socially inappropriate rule. Schools can write whatever guidelines they want, but they can NEVER do what was done here to enforce adherence to it. If they earned the right to be on the stage, they have the right to walk, run, backflip or whatever clever thing they come up with, although it's VERY rude, it's not a crime. Even making moves across the stage has become a huge phenomenon and is almost a right of way and expected. Rules are broken, but we should never assault anyone.
Oh yeah? Try to do that same dance when you are at the point where you cross the burning sands to a frat you pledge to. They will do more than pull you offstage. Whether you like it or not, there are traditions and decorum to ceremonies that should always be followed.
Twibbles See that right their just shows me how cynical you are. Why would you want that for anyone? I'm a law abiding citizen. I've danced across many a stage from high school to Air Force Academy to technical college! So you can either understand their joy and follow these nuts across the stage..the nerve of someone like you "follow the rules" Brown nosing yes man much?
"Thank you for going into debt for the rest of your life to pay for our overpriced college degree. Now here is your piece of paper. Get the hell off OUR stage which YOU paid for." Is this a great country or what?
Wait a minute, let's face it, graduation ceremonies are notoriously boring. Though I think the dancing was silly (which appears to be the point) just allow the students to have their fun. It's the students graduation, not the officials.
What is with the American Taliban conservatives and their Sharia Law? You can't just go around assaulting people for dancing. Assault is a crime, not dancing, no matter how you Republicans interpret the Koran, it is not the law of the land. Salafists and Wahhabis Republicans can consider dancing to be haram all they want, but don't enforce your views on us with terrorist acts of violence.
Abram Carroll Not american... Or Muslim. _Edit:_ It should go without saying but seeing how you make assumptions... I'm not republican either... Not least because there isn't a republican party where I live. _Edit 2 (Brute):_ For all intents and purposes, I'm also black.
Sometimes you just have to buckle down and act with dignity. Commencement is one of those times. After they're off the stage they can dance all they want. It's university, not Jr. High.
Cross the stage quickly and in a dignified, respectful way, no matter what "Race" you are. These graduation ceremonies are endless with so many graduates. Celebrate afterwards with family and friends and don´t waste everyone else´s time. Seeing you cross the stage proves that you earned your degree and you are being honored for it. BTW, I am African-American but I have no bias here. All students should be advised as to how to behave at a graduation. Nevertheless, ushers are guilty of biased conduct if they only manhandled the Black students. The University has some explaining and training to do!
I am not right wing, but I completely disagree with the dancing on stage. It is obnoxious. So someone disagrees with you and they are a RW ahole. Come on. I have yet to see a video of a white person dancing like this and that guy allowing it to happen. Nothing to do with racism if there was no racism.
Jay Rock Jinx Well, I’m opposed to someone walking up on stage and then punching everyone in arms length. I mean, what if that’s someone’s cause or deference? That makes me right wing though...
James Edward nigga are serious that’s there moments in life and thats how they choose to celebrate then why can’t they do that tf we got way bigger problems and u people get mad because someone is happy and wanna show it boi if u don’t get tf outta here with that shit
UF alum here. they didn't touch anyone during my graduation, but i'm surprised that they pulled people off stage. They told us we could do something quick on camera, (which i did) and they just let everyone go even if they were dancing across stage. It's stupid that they changed the policy AND dragged students off stage. That just makes the ceremony even more boring.
Brandon Christopher I’m not defending if the ushers got too aggressive or were biased. I also paid all that money and I walked like a normal educated person to accept my diploma. I didn’t hold up the line because I know there is also another person behind me waiting for me to walk so they can also get their diploma. Do you think they were the only “clever” ones that thought about dancing, celebrating, or doing dumb frat b.s. on stage? No. If everybody did that, graduation would be twice as long.
Albert Lara I honestly only have one question for you. How long was the surgery to get the huge stick from out of your ass? Everyone spent 4 years or longer to get that degree I'm pretty sure people can wait an extra 30 minutes or even an hour LOL why Rush a graduation???
Brandon Christopher If I had surgery to get the stick out of my ass it would take less time than me waiting for “clever” people to finish their dance or fraternity bullshit. If I want to see people dancing and doing skits on stage, I would go to a concert or play.
Jen kb Walking off stage or dancing off stage shouldn't make that much of a difference. None of them appeared to be standing in place doing an entire routine. Where's the harm?
What is wrong with people today? Just walk up, get your diploma, shake the hand, walk off the stage. Simple!!! Act like you possess the maturity of a college graduate and not that of a tween.
Terry Sarkel getting your college degree isn't an everyday occurrence, if you feel proud enough to dance , you should. Dancing is harmless, it's not like they were twerking and crumping. Since when was fist pumping offensive? if any of those men and women (remember these people are adults) had taken offense , as was their right, and face mushed the self appointed enforcer THEN it would've been made into a racial issue. U NEVER TOUCH A PERSON WITHOUT EXPLICIT INVITATION. Why is that golden rule optional for this "enforcer"? This is blatant assault and at worse harmful hypocrisy
The stage is not the place to do some stupid dance. It is rude to everyone else because it wastes everyone's time and this is supposed to be a serious event. If you break the rules, you get removed from the stage. And DON'T make this about race.
That’s straight B.S the school can drag the black students alone but let the white students do backflips and shit. They all worked hard for their degrees they should all have they quick moment
As much as school costs - that’s the messed up part. Horrible to forcibly remove any race from celebrating such an accomplishment. Some dummies still think they “shouldn’t be dancing” though
samy said this is a graduation ceremony where people get to HAVE FUN and they have right to do things out of the ordinary because they worked hard for that shit, so people like you need to STFU and quit being an smart alec. asswhipe
abraham dominguez ok. Now I know you definitely haven't graduated from anything. Even my high school graduation was extremely planned out and professional. If you ever graduated, you'd know the celebration come after the ceremony, not during. I'm not against a quick little moment on stage, but shaking your behind and making a fool of yourself in a formal ceremony is not something other races do, it seems that black people are always bringing attention to themselves this way.
Okay i just looked some stuff up. the graduation class of UF this year on may 3 was over 5,100 students. Now that means that 5,100 students were there to get their diploma. if every student getting their deploma took an average of 30 seconds to celebrate their graduation it would have taken over 41 hours to get thru every diploma dance. Now take that down even further and say that everyone gets only 15 seconds..thats half by the way...then its over 20 hours to get thru them all. How fair would it be to the many many students who didnt get to recieve their diploma cause the ceramonys only lasted from 7am to 9pm thats 14 hours..as it is. that means over 6 hours worth of celebrations that would have to be cut..completely! so much for their "one and only chance to show what they have accomplished" huh?
prolly cause its a huge deal to plan and do. folks hve family plans to make..flights to attend and such. But also..thats how life works. The world doesnt alter its scedual every time ppl decide they want more time to do something. The ceremony can be completed in the time given and it has worked every time if the folks participating follow the rules. how about this..if you want to celebrate then why not film yourself on your phone after you get off the stage? there are presenters and staff that scedual their lives to be there. lets think about everyone and not just some privilaged kids who think their graduation is the end all be all special thing in the world.
Bobbert Bobby Except such numbers are rather misleading as most graduates do not actually attend graduation, it is much more convenient just to have your diploma mailed to you. That said, there is nothing that would have prevented organizers from setting aside an area that students could move over to immediately after receiving their diploma where they can have a moment to celebrate that does not force the graduation ceremony to come to a dead halt until someone finally moves out of the way, allowing everyone who wishes to have a moment on stage while still allowing the graduation to proceed without excessive delays.
and yes. I agree having such a place where the graduates could have pulle dout their phones and taken pictures and film themselves celbrating would have been a perfect way to handle it. But even if most choose to have their diplomas mailed to them...it is still a rather long ceremony as it is. and the students should have respected everyone else by not grinding the ceremony to a halt just so you can celebrate. now as ive said..if there is video of white students wasting time and being allowed then im the first to cry foul. also I didnt think that was any sort of "manhandling" or "tckeling" so..maybe im just old school. But if they had you handeling the ceremony they wouldnt have had such a issue..smart folks such as you withg common sense is what we all need.
They have multiple ceremonies. You know that, right? As an example, this year's spring convocation at my alma mater consists of two ceremonies a day from June 5th to June 14th, running through the weekend. That's 20 ceremonies. I don't remember anyone being quickly ushered off the stage during mine, and many people (myself included) took more than a few moments to exchange words with their professors before each person had their picture taken. Assuming nothing about this story, it isn't acceptable to physically remove people from the stage essentially the moment they step out onto it. Not even if the faculty were given reason to expect a large, planned disruption.
University of Florida, lighten up. They are graduating after years of hard work and studying. I guess it's against college regulations to dance or celebrate while black.
I may be wrong, but I don't think this would have happened in a pre-Trump time (in the last 40+ years at least). Hate seems to be acceptable in large gatherings. Please VOTE in 2018 & 2020 to change our current politics for the better. This can not continue or America will fall into a nation of hateful humans from those looking from outside our nation.
I don't think it was a race issue. It really is rude for anyone to take other people's time on stage. Just looked like he was fed up with their foolishness.
It could be, and dude abouve me your a ass. This shit happens if you graduated high school they might tell you not to do anything BECAUSE ITS A HUGE LIST OF PEOPLE BEING CALLED TOO. It's supposed to be unfair that they take more time than the others who just go and walk up. Shit I thought that was what the hat throwing was... But then I heard some school DO NOT allow them to do that... It's stupid
Considering im these ceremonies when i got even my diploma, there were graduates who dances, huged principal, even did raise the roof movements. No one was agressive to them. It was a happy time. Its not becoming of a school to allow assult
Darlene B When I Graduated were instructed not to celebrate. And we respected the school's request. And it was a majority white school. Why do we constantly have to kowtow to blacks? They didn't do anything special. Everybody there graduated. But, as always, blacks can't stand equality. They want superiority.
on the rocks with salt I agree, If the school made that request. But they said that only the Black students were being pushed off the stage. For the White students who did the same thing, they were not pushed off the stage. I can see if the students were taking more than a minute to get off the stage how this could be a problem. But it only takes a ten seconds to walk, skip, glide, whatever across the stage. No big deal.
Every student touched should file assault charges against that person. He had NO RIGHT to put his hands on them. The president of the school sat there and watched without saying anything so to make SURE the school GETS IT those students should file a class action discrimination suit against the school and the person that touched them.
You're right it wasn't assault, it is battery. Noun. A criminal act that includes physical contact with another person without his or her consent. This includes contact that is menacing or frightening, even if harm does not take place .(1)(a) The offense of battery occurs when a person: 1. Actually and intentionally touches or strikes another person against the will of the other; or 2. Intentionally causes bodily harm to another person.
Not only did they waste 7 minutes talking about a non story but they managed to label a guy a racist that they have no information about except for the fact that he "violently" stopped people from wasting time and making an event even longer that is already unbearably long, and that is probably what he was told to do. So how about you don't give people horrible labels like racist without maybe a little bit of proof
They were strolls, that moved at a walking pace. No extra time was taken. You are focused on the lie used in an attempt to justify the criminal behavior of assault, not the reality presented in the video evidence. What is with you American Taliban conservatives and your Sharia Law? You can't just go around assaulting people for dancing. Assault is a crime, not dancing, no matter how you Republicans interpret the Koran, it is not the law of the land. You Salafists and Wahhabis Republicans can consider dancing to be haram all you want, but don't enforce your views on us with your terrorist acts of violence.
Hannah why must you be so unbearable with every story you do? Even when I agree with you, like on police brutality and marijuana, you always find away to make it annoying.
The way she delivers the first sentence of this video just makes me wanna slam my head against the wall, putting aside whether I agree with it or not. (In this case I don't) It's like she's trying to be a tv news anchor or something with the fake emphasis on buzzwords, just talk like a damn person for once. Ana doesn't have this problem at all, but the way Hannah talks always rubs me the wrong way from a visceral level.
93214919321491 youve put words to what I've been feeling since she started being onscreen on the main show..I really dislike the way she delivers and find my self closing off vids soon as I see her ..and I'm no TYT hater
Why would they do one big graduation like that with 10k people graduating? I went to a big university and they had a separate ceremony for each college. Liberal arts had a ceremony, college of science had its own, college of business had its own, etc. Even then the ceremonies were like 3 hours long.
I’m confused by this whole thing. It would be nice to see the entire video. The graduates that were being thrown off didn’t look surprised. It seemed like they were trying to squeeze something in that they were asked not to do. But the guy doing the man handling was soo out of line!! He literally picked a graduate up out of his seat!! From what I saw it sure did look racist. Not surprising in the time of trump. For those saying that these kids are disrespecting the ceremony, times have changed. Have you been to a wedding lately? Everyone dances down the aisle now.
I didn't even consider going to my graduation ceremony. I had a dreadful experience as an undergrad, and I wanted nothing to do with anything celebrating it.
Ok i just want to say if you can not celebrate you're own graduation with a dance and be proud and excited now a days than we might as well be a 3rd world country with no freedom at all to express ourselves. These comment's here are ridiculous.
Toni-Ann Stewart you are absolutely right i can not disagree with you on that one. It has gotten worse ever since they put a bully at the white house. I do apologize for the comment i was trying to make a point that were supposed to be a free country and we have to watch our backs for every little thing we do now a days.
Eli Ramos i come from a third world country in which people understand they have to be respectful to the rules and to the other graduates. You can dance all you want in the after party.
I read the article about this yesterday. The school is calling each student that was tackled to personally apologize. Do not tell me that everything was fine when the school itself is saying it was not!
I did not pull the word "tackled" out of the sky. It was the word used in this video and in the article. Did you watch the video? Did you read the article?
Link me to white people dancing and not being dragged off- I hear about this backflip kid and I have to think- How do you grab someone during a backflip? Without getting your face broken. Nobody should be dancing, regardless of race. "you shouldn't man handle anybody' Okay I'll just run out into the middle of a sports game, or during a press conference.. No, you CAN man handle people, it was pretty obvious they were not allowed to dance, they literally watched the person infront of them dancing, and being dragged off, then did the exact same thing. Again, this just shows black people dancing. This isn't a very scientific experiment.
It's not even racial to me and I'm black, Plus there was a white girl who was dancing and got pushed off stage as well but I understand where the school is coming from. When so much is going on in this generation with kids/teens and college graduates will do anything for internet attention and maybe the school officials didn't want it turn into something more than a graduation.
It’s custom for Black Greeks to do this. It’s so disappointing that they’d rush them off stage for strolling. I just graduated this weekend from a PWI and we were able to do this with no problem.
Oh wow! the black greeks! The only people clever enough to think of the idea of dancing on stage or doing fraternity skits on stage. When there are hundreds of other people waiting to walk on stage and get their diplomas the black greeks are nothing special. The greeks should have their own mini graduation ceremony where they can do all their greek antics without being pressured by ushers or subjecting non-greeks to silly stuff.
I'm a princess That's what I've been thinking. But everyone is SO horrified at the sight of people being so elated with childlike joy to the point of dance...
Wow! Such bitter boring people commenting here 😒. The graduates are adults who are getting their diplomas which they woked for and most likely paid a lot of money for. Academic education isn't cheap. Even if they were told before the ceremony not to dance, they can't do anything about it if they do. They can get in a lot of trouble for having done that. But yeah, a lot of spiteful boring people here who think that just because you're an adult you shouldn't have a little celebration dance when getting your diploma. Blah! 😛😝 Take a chill pill people!
Melanie Jecker They danced as they walked not holding anyone up, deal with the real issue, except for law enforcement once you physically touch an grab another that's called assault an if the parents of those students wanted they could have pressed charges!
Nobody should have been dragged of the stage no matter the race
So, you can take my money, but I cannot celebrate when I graduate? WOW!
Oh come on. You’re going to deny them 3 seconds of ceremonial behaviour at a graduation CEREMONY? Exactly, this really isn't a matter of race, it's a matter of disrespecting people who have worked for this moment for years
"MY SUPPORTERS JUST HATE SEEING BLACK PEOPLE BE MORE SUCCESSFUL THAN THEM. SAD!!!"

They were assaulted and should go to the police, sue the school and sue the person who assaulted them.
Derek lacey assaulted? Jail? WOW
It's called Africans expressing themselves. They were happy to graduate so what's the problem? Let them celebrate Florida....opps you hate the fact that these African American students are elevating socially.
White kid does a backflip, he "celebratting". Black kid does a little dance, "THEY'RE GETTIN' UPPITY!"

You can tell what Frat they in my the stoles around they neck its a real big deal to Black fraternitys
flames101111 but only one was moving forward.. The rest danced in place and even went backwards
I can't see why you can't do a little dance while you walk across the stage. I mean you pay a whole shit of money for it.
When you start to think for yourself, you will understand.
We are not talking about church here man. We are talking about corporate money making institution.

Do you actually expect a reasonable, objective account when TYT smells an opportunity to push racial grievance politics?
So what you are saying is they are unconsciously racist
@@ambercolbert I'm saying they were doing it to everyone who didn't walk across the stage quickly, regardless of race.
Yeah, I think most people in America are unconsciously racist too, but this incident didn't seem to have racial bias when I witnessed it. Just shitty people prioritizing efficiency over letting students have their moments.
@@loura246 I'm glad that fr your blonde hair white girl eyes it didn't seem racist to usher white people off stage while dragging poc off stage.
So they're not allowed to be proud of themselves for this achievement?! 😠
You don’t get to assault me because I’m taking too long.
hatter00 um boo to ur comment
Yes, Leslie, make sure you get the RACE of the guy who was doing the escorting off stage out there, I mean, we don't ever want people to forget what evil racists WHITE people are, do we?
Anyone tried that with me during my graduation, they are gonna get clocked...real talk.
Midnight Wanderer, I'm with you,friend.
Had one of those bullies put a hand on me, he would have had his arm broken & stuffed up his ass.
ROTC training, put to it's proper, Defensive use.
Although paraphrased, here is how the Law reads in many jurisdictions;
If one is being assaulted or find themselves in the unlawful grasp of another person, one can use, "whatever force is necessary, to free themselves from that grasp."
Unless noted for a specific jurisdiction, this includes unlawful arrest by Police.
One is pushing their luck with Police, in this regard, for they may escalate the situation, so that they can just shoot you & their problem is solved.
And then you'd cry on the way to the county jail.
BUT DEY WOODENT LET ME DANCE, I AIN'T DO NUFFIN WRONG
That's okay my black brothers and sisters its almost over. praise The Most High. And congratulations on your graduation. Love you.
Gwendolyn Young what's almost most over.. If your talking about rascism it's not going to stop if you give a person a inch they will take a foot
Ok my high school told all our graduating class that if you do anything stupid in your seat or on stage then you will be thrown out by force by either a teacher or the cops
Nathan Neri you went to lame ass highschool. Sucks for you.
They're happy&celebrating! That's not hurting anyone! They should be able to let out their emotions. Congratulations to them all!
Thank you!
People see a ''different tree'' and miss a crooked forest...lol
Yea.....dancing is wrong.....but being dressed like a moron is ok...
lmao, this is why cries of racism are not taken seriously. Get your piece of paper, take your picture, gtfotw.
creamsykle three problem is that they ONLY shoved and pushed the black people, everyone else was allowed to do whatever they want, THERE WAS NO VIOLENCE AT ALL, and that is RACISM at its finest, why are you punishing one group of people and not the other? STFU if you don't know what you're talking about
Everyone who was pushed off stage needs to sue the university now. And make sure your student loans are forgiven in full. Because in all reality you students are paying customers.
Knoe Shalum A few of them were already given free rides. What should be done for them ? Since they already received a free education.
Thrill Bundy - Speak about what you know sir. How the hell you no who got a free ride crazy ass man.
LOL
Oh my God! They were moving people off stage for breaking the rules. No way-___-
Different rules for black students? No way …
Just stop holding graduation ceremonies, just mail the degrees.
I'm saying you cannot treat people differently (PERIOD)
A way to ensure that no one is treated differently is to send the degrees OR give everyone an alloted time on stage to do their thing... 10 seconds 20 seconds whatever... just 100 % EQUAL - I have problems with people not having an EQUAL opportunity... the fact that some white guy cut a flip and nothing happened is appalling. (should have been treated EXACTLY the same)
TheJagjr4450 The rules are there. They don’t follow them. More rules is not going to help. It’s just one more time to break
Rules for commenting on TYT videos:
1. Never watch the whole video (especially when hosts make qualifying statements)
2.If title has your tigger words, such as black, women, or minority, thumb down vid
3. Immediately post your uninformed grievance in the comments
or shut it off because hannah sucks
jovan, I hope your dreams don't include writing for SNL or even being a mildly clever person.
I'm going to do a celebratory dance anytime I graduate with any degree, anyone try to stop that they're getting speed knots on their forehead.
Richard Travick i have had 4 graduations , everyone followed the rules. It's better that way.
That staff member/usher is lucky he escaped (physically) unscathed after he touched people the way he did, ceremony rules or not.
Person:how did your graduation go?
Me:i was dragged of stage for being black
Person:.........
I feel like there's another side to this story.
Nakoruru The Extra Terrestrial there is ALWAYS another side to tyt stories that they leave out. Tyt isn't the same anymore.
High.
Glad to see the racist are still insisting the racists are racist.
Jay Rock Jinx-Bot of course. Posting the same reply over and over again in response to every comment.
They ruined their graduation by dragging them off the stage
They ruined EVERYBODY else's graduation by acting like ignorant asses.
James Edward nigga are serious that’s there moments in life and thats how they choose to celebrate then why can’t they do that tf we got way bigger problems and u people get mad because someone is happy and wanna show it boi if u don’t get tf outta here with that shit
I agree. It takes more time to drag someone off stage then to just let them celebrate.
But Oliver never stops moving and doesn't turn around until he' gets forced off. You can see that in the video.
Soooooo you pay all that money and they can't let you enjoy your graduation??? GTFOH
Albert Lara
I honestly only have one question for you. How long was the surgery to get the huge stick from out of your ass? Everyone spent 4 years or longer to get that degree I'm pretty sure people can wait an extra 30 minutes or even an hour LOL why Rush a graduation???
RebelCave85
Cool beans go tell all the Black people at the school... Start with the football team and work your way down from there 👍👍😂😂
RebelCave85
Cool story bro 👍
Enjoy telling people this story especially Black people in your area... Bye-bye 👋🖕
Brandon Christopher If I had surgery to get the stick out of my ass it would take less time than me waiting for “clever” people to finish their dance or fraternity bullshit.
If I want to see people dancing and doing skits on stage, I would go to a concert or play.
LOL what a 4th world shithole country USA is.
Just let the kids dance off of stage for less than the min it takes. Let them celebrate their accomplishment for a few seconds.
So... you have 2,000 students graduating. All those kids dancing. Are you kidding me?
Jen kb Walking off stage or dancing off stage shouldn't make that much of a difference. None of them appeared to be standing in place doing an entire routine. Where's the harm?
It is obnoxious. If they want to dance go dance at their graduation party. If I was there I would have been pissed.
Race or not its wrong but to overreact bout this when there are better examples of newsworthy racism currently happening is a waste of energy
How does TYT attract such ignorant comments? Don't you people have Alex Jones videos to go watch?
they didnt want black ppl dancing better than them tbh lets be real
What is wrong with people today? Just walk up, get your diploma, shake the hand, walk off the stage. Simple!!! Act like you possess the maturity of a college graduate and not that of a tween.
Terry Sarkel boring!
Dancing on the stage is a tradition in the black fraternity
What is maturity to you? Acting composed every single minute of your life? Come on...
Do your dance or back flip after the ceremony is over, showboat! I don't give a crap if you are bored.
The stage is not the place to do some stupid dance. It is rude to everyone else because it wastes everyone's time and this is supposed to be a serious event. If you break the rules, you get removed from the stage. And DON'T make this about race.
Yeah, white people can't dance, so it's NOT fair to them.
Christopher Ryan Curtis, school shooter. Poo shooter. Kiddy fuckers.
How about you walk up to collect your degree, politely shake hands while having a photograph taken and immediately walk off.
Dantes38 white girl did a dance and wasn't touched
Or you do the cabbage patch, get the paper you're going to pay for in 30 years, and life goes on.
Life goes on regardless. How it goes on depends on us and the things we do, or in this case, shouldn't do. Save the party for after.
That’s straight B.S the school can drag the black students alone but let the white students do backflips and shit.
They all worked hard for their degrees they should all have they quick moment
Actually they were dancing because they were so happy
As much as school costs - that’s the messed up part. Horrible to forcibly remove any race from celebrating such an accomplishment. Some dummies still think they “shouldn’t be dancing” though
People work so hard to graduate and these people go and try to make a mockery of it.
Megatron Don that's NOT what happened at all you DUMB shit.
abraham dominguez there are appropriate places where you can have a minstrel show and shake your ass, and a graduation podium isn't one of them.
samy said this is a graduation ceremony where people get to HAVE FUN and they have right to do things out of the ordinary because they worked hard for that shit, so people like you need to STFU and quit being an smart alec. asswhipe
abraham dominguez ok.
Bobbert Bobby why did they do 1 ceremony then? Thats bad planning
prolly cause its a huge deal to plan and do. folks hve family plans to make..flights to attend and such.
Time for a little self defense when the man grabbed him time to throw some fists.
University should set rules before the graduation either you're allowed or not, no matter what race.
University of Florida, lighten up. They are graduating after years of hard work and studying. I guess it's against college regulations to dance or celebrate while black.
David Atkinson crazy after years of school they're just excited. Times are different
Sean B that's true. They earned the right to celebrate.
"black" students yeah they totally dragged them just because they where black
I don't think it was a race issue. It really is rude for anyone to take other people's time on stage. Just looked like he was fed up with their foolishness.
you are such an ass.
It's stupid
try some of this black meat for starters.
They were celebrating surviving that school ,not graduating
Don't attend a school named FU.
Artstrology it’s the other way around. UF as in University of Florida.
sure ok,.... Un Friendly , wouldn't go there if I was paid. all the intelligence of a bag of hammers
Artstrology obviously depends what you study, if you go for a liberal arts degree then yeah, it is as dumb as a bag of hammers.
when you lose sight of what smart is, just remember it has Art in it. there is currently no college worth a plug nickel if that makes you feel better
Jealousy is a Hell of a Drug!
Terrible!
When will it end?
I don't care what color they are, keep your hands off and let them celebrate.
Looks like Clint Eastwood was right. This country has turned into a bunch of Crybabies!
Considering im these ceremonies when i got even my diploma, there were graduates who dances, huged principal, even did raise the roof movements. No one was agressive to them. It was a happy time. Its not becoming of a school to allow assult
You’re suppose to be happy when getting your bachelors degree. I guess it’s not acceptable for Black people to have a happy moment.😒
Darlene B When I Graduated were instructed not to celebrate. And we respected the school's request. And it was a majority white school. Why do we constantly have to kowtow to blacks? They didn't do anything special. Everybody there graduated. But, as always, blacks can't stand equality. They want superiority.
crooked truth83 I’m not racist.😊
on the rocks with salt I agree, If the school made that request.
GRADUATING WHILE BLACK
More like being proud for 1 second. No sir not the black man. Black man does absolutely everything to keep this country going, yet we can't enjoy it.
Every student touched should file assault charges against that person. He had NO RIGHT to put his hands on them. The president of the school sat there and watched without saying anything so to make SURE the school GETS IT those students should file a class action discrimination suit against the school and the person that touched them.
Nina Higgs ....except for the fact that it wasn't assault.
Intentionally causes bodily harm to another person.
if the school wants to make it up to those students then they can pay for a year or two of student loans for them.
You can dance across the stage, that no.big deal. Why are they tripping?
Ms.Royalty Lawrence not professional for college graduates to be acting fools during ceremony. But no reason to man handle people
Those kids deserve their achievements and to celebrate. That moment happens once in their lives. Dont take that away.
Hannah why must you be so unbearable with every story you do? Even when I agree with you, like on police brutality and marijuana, you always find away to make it annoying.
93214919321491 but how so ?
Love TYT really can't stand Hannah
This is why we need to keep our HBCUs and colleges black and support them.
Why would they do one big graduation like that with 10k people graduating? I went to a big university and they had a separate ceremony for each college. Liberal arts had a ceremony, college of science had its own, college of business had its own, etc. Even then the ceremonies were like 3 hours long.
I think if that clown put his hands on me I would have knocked him out, and I’m not a violent person
The full tape is publicly available. White people were kicked of the stage just the same as everyone else. TYT is full of shit.
I didn't even consider going to my graduation ceremony. I had a dreadful experience as an undergrad, and I wanted nothing to do with anything celebrating it.
Scott Charney so...?
Nothing really. This just made me ponder that, especially with all the talk about what an allegedly important moment it is.
U know how long graduation ceremonies Are? People can't break into song and dance like high school musical. Grab ur diploma and move on
Yea.. I'm pretty sure 4 years of University is longer... I'f your that impatient to graduate and leave... then don't attend
They are paying for their education let them dance!
Ok i just want to say if you can not celebrate you're own graduation with a dance and be proud and excited now a days than we might as well be a 3rd world country with no freedom at all to express ourselves. These comment's here are ridiculous.
i am from a 3rd world country and this doesnt happen at our graduations America just full of prejudice and discrimination
Toni-Ann Stewart you are absolutely right i can not disagree with you on that one. It has gotten worse ever since they put a bully at the white house. I do apologize for the comment i was trying to make a point that were supposed to be a free country and we have to watch our backs for every little thing we do now a days.
Woot
Eli Ramos i come from a third world country in which people understand they have to be respectful to the rules and to the other graduates. You can dance all you want in the after party.
They couldn't have asked him nicely to stop dancing and keep moving?
It's Florida you guys. The racist state in the country. It's so bad down there. Not surprised. It really sucks, but not shocking.
It's totally segregated.
Little Johnny white supremacist.
Florida: The madness never ends.
I don’t see why the officials have a problem with students celebrating their accomplishments smh
Hi-Tec Jaymes cause ain't nobody got time for that. This isn't a dance party
King Layzie, you aren't black. What you are is a liar. A poser. A fake ass little bitch. A little "incel".
Mr Orange He's not black because he doesn't agree with the narrative. Sounds a little bit racist, if you ask me.
Perhaps it has nothing to do with their skin color but more to do with their behavior.
so dancing isnt allowed, but back flips are?
Exactly. i'm a person of color and these black millennials are pulling out the race card for petty behavior.
you wanna strut or stroll or whatever fine, do it on your way off stage, dont stop and hold the whole show up for your egotistical ass...
Mister Justice what behavior ? Dancing ???
EdieGO Inc What are you Mr. I'm person of color?
Hannah Cranston video.....nope.
It’s custom for Black Greeks to do this. It’s so disappointing that they’d rush them off stage for strolling. I just graduated this weekend from a PWI and we were able to do this with no problem.
Stephanie Reneé DeRamus wtf is a black greeks. Cultural appropriation?
Alex Wtf is wrong with you?
Oh wow! the black greeks!
They worked there whole life to get to that point in there life let them dance
Their. Sorry had to say it.
There really was no need they were just happy to graduate. Let them be happy.
i'm a princess "let them be happy" what if they took their pants off to be happy,do you let them do that too
I'm a princess That's what I've been thinking. But everyone is SO horrified at the sight of people being so elated with childlike joy to the point of dance...
A black man with a degree is still an inward. Decipher it.
1_New Friend real nice bro and to more than we will ever know
Only when they become brainwashed.
Kay G Not to himself but to racist America
1_New Friend They're the ones who believe it the most. Just because they don't say it to your face doesn't mean it's not on their mind.
Kay G yeah until they shoot ya and face no consequences. Then you're just another black shot and killed. Your education don't matter to them.
Can't blame them for being passionate about their achievement.
But the people celebrating on stage were moving across the stage at the same pace as those who weren't!
If I was there and was white I'd try river dancing across that shit just to see if they would try throwing me off 2
The Wazir river dancing ? What is that move?
This is America
Dj Genius yes it is and the haters are out in force
Bruce Wayne Bye! Vaylain Those graduates and myself disagree with you on when it is the right time to do a little celebration dance.
If Hanna losses this job, no one will hire her...she is so terrible, at most everything...
Yep, she really is annoying.
They've all worked really hard and can't celebrate their hardwork paid off?
sure, they can celebrate on their own time. not when there are 100s of other families that just want to get the boring ceremony over with..
Cng215 Those kids should have body slammed that pink hater!
Melanie Jecker They danced as they walked not holding anyone up, deal with the real issue, except for law enforcement once you physically touch an grab another that's called assault an if the parents of those students wanted they could have pressed charges!
Sorry TYT, not racism. On to the next story.
graduations are boring. i don't care if it takes a little more time, dancing graduates makes it fun to watch.
nah, being a kid is fun
