There are no beauty standards aside the ones we see, accept and adopt, that is on you, not everyone else.

Chucky!
Jesus, how'd they do that?!
Dr Miami
My goodness! Why would they want to change?? They are such beautiful women!! I love their looks ,just gorgeous. You tell them Dr.
I so love your honesty…🥰
I have to agree. Be proud of your heritage and the features that come with it. Beautiful just as God and your parents made you.
Do you know that this woman isn't proud of her heritage? Maybe she was in a horrible accident or was brutalized? She doesn't need to justify her "asianess" to you or anyone.
This dr. Is always talking about how it takes a long time for a procedure to heal. How about letting this girl heal without judgement?
@@style_musethat's not true at all people should learn to love themselves that doesn't mean you have to mutilate yourself, literally most people don't have a perfect nose and the only person who'll actually notice is themselves. I hope you can learn to love yourself the way you are.
But what does this have to do with ‘being proud’ of your heritage or race? People constantly assume asian people get plastic surgery to look ‘white’ when in reality ya’ll just have a very narrow minded view on how asians can naturally look. They can also have double eyelids and proeminent noses ( for example ), don’t let the stereotypical representations of asian people the media constantly shows, especially in the west, fool you. Their beauty standards have nothing to do with not wanting to look asian, they are very much rooted in their own ideals of asian beauty.
@@Clownk1lleryep. People always compliment my nose, but to me, I always fixate on the slight bump on the ridge. I have a fiance who thinks I'm beautiful, and a mother who thinks I'm beautiful, and that's enough for me. I don't need the whole world to validate me.
@@style_musehe reason you feel that way about your nose ultimately ties down to the vapid yappings of some 19th century eugenicists who use their nonsense to justify treating Jewish and non white people like absolute shit.
If you need a reason to love yourself, do it to spite them.
Wow am actually happy to see a honest person in this field
Omg this horrific! This poor woman!
The better question is what are these women signing themselves up for, the surgeon don’t move without the money 💯
My mother always wondered why I never wanted eyelid surgery done. But when I reached adulthood, my eyelids made me look good and I love how I look, so I didn’t give a flying F as to how other people thought about them. Love yourself and embrace who you are. Love Doctor Youn’s message❤❤❤
Your mother wants you to have plastic surgery? Really?
Why? Your own mom doesn’t encourage that you are beautiful without all that stuff done to you I know you love your mom but she should be ashamed telling her own daughter to get plastic surgery it’s ridiculous. I’m glad you didn’t listen and accept your unique beauty love who you are always ❤
@@berchyzgb4423 nah she didn’t force me or anything, but she just wondered why bc she’s from a culture where women usually want to get them (she’s Korean)
So bravo of you to stick up for ur selve from mom! I bet u are absolutely beautiful with the eyes u were born with❤
Hell yes to natural eyelids!!🎉 you rule.
Nothing is more beautiful than your natural body. People have this fantasy that plastic surgery will make them look younger... but it doesn't. Instead of looking older, or looking younger, you look like... someone who has plastic surgery. It is a third category.
Do you ever really look at someone whose had a ton of plastic surgery and think, "wow, they look really young"...? No! You think, 'they look like someone whose had a lot of work done."
This video makes me love myself even more.
So creepy
Like a Mask , I never put mine on

Nahh, I don't think so, sadly
Their skin is what amazes me, flawless 😊

My best friend from high school is from S Korea. I remember she wanted to get eyelid surgery and I talked her out of it; I was like you've got super cute freckles and your eyes fit your face! Long story short she didn't get it done, but I never did ask her who was pressuring her to do it.
South Korean society probably. Used to be a common graduation student from parents.
Good for you. You’re a good person.
@@ems901 Thanks! I think if more people just had someone who cared enough to tell them they don't need to do something they don't really want to in the first place that they'll take the time to reconsider if it's really what they want. We're still friends 16 years later
My friend kinda went through the same thing. Her mom was pressuring her to get eyelid surgery even though she didn't want it. All of us supported her not wanting surgery and thankfully, she came back from a visit to s korea sans surgery. She did concede to a perm tho haha
@@manifestme4696Yeah things like this are extremely common in S Korea's culture. (From what I've heard and read, I have never been there myself.) Pushing procedures, and trying to get to a very specific beauty standard. Doing things like eyelid surgeries, lightening their skin, maintaining an extremely thin frame. It's unfortunate that these beauty standards are heavily pushed on young people.
This video makes me sad for her. I *hope* that she healed and recovered a lot better than she appears in this video.

Any updates on her I would like to see the final results
As an Asian woman, I totally agree.
I 100% agree!! The Asian eyes are what makes them unique! Why on earth would these young ladies want to change them to make them look like everyone else in the world?😢
Exactly.
because in Asia monolids are what everyone else looks like
@@shadowchu5940 that's my point! Why change your appearance to look like everyone else? They are beautiful the way they are!💖
@@krystaldaniels7940 nah monolids are "Asian eyes". The surgery gives you double eyelids, which is something more similar to non Asian eyes. You can google the photos if you want a closer look.
So those people who have surgeries actually wanna look different.

I'm in my 40s. I went to have a consultation about a mini facelift. The surgeon said NO! He wouldn't touch me for at least 5 more years. Guess he had more ethics than some of these docs.
There should be more surgeons like this. And..i don't wanna get too close with you in this, but isn't this in a way a compliment?
Your right they shld have their license removed and never allowed to destroy another woman again
face lift can be done with gua sha, excersises and other ways and the eyelids should totally be embraced! I dont have them but they look rlly cute in my opinion, if anyone is insecure about them then here i am, a white crimean gal saying that they are so so so cute and adorable. Were all different and alike in our own significant ways and being ashamed of that is absurd. you're all beautiful❤
Thank you for bringing up such young women in there 30s having so much surgery. So much pressure for any age women to have some type of procedure done . It's expected now especially in certain businesses
He's exactly right! Stop mutilating these beautiful young women. Simply refuse to do this kind of plastic surgery on them.!
You are so right. She was probably was beautiful the way she was.

You can enhance bit never change your features
This made me think of the "uglies" book series. Real life is getting mighty close to that shit and it's scary asf

It’s honestly heartbreaking 💔 As a woman in my early 40s, I’m happy to say I’ve had zero cosmetic work done (no fillers or Botox either). Do I look the same as I did 10 years ago? Of course not but I’ve learned to accept that aging gracefully is a blessing. I do everything I can to prevent aging as far as my skin care goes. That poor lady, I feel so bad. Their beauty standards are so unbelievably high to the point young women and even some men would go as far as ruining their entire face just to fit in with society and fit their inhumane standards..
Its sad really. And it's exacerbated by celebrities and influencers all having the same look so young women all think they need to get surgeries to get the same look. Individualism needs to be celebrated more, rather than all young women looking like the Kardashian/Jenner's and Hadid's.
Poor lady is the one who went to the surgeon asking for a new face(white looking) not the plastic surgeon came to her!! Her fault!!
@@user-sr7er6zu4qcan you not?
@@Sassybella Nobody in Asia cares for the three people you just listed. Name some other examples.
@@Sassybella No, it's exacerbated by the extreme competition. Resources are scarce and the nee generation is struggling. Getting a job is almost impossible even for those that graduated from top universities. If you're pretty, it's just one more thing that can give you an edge over the competition. You're required to sumbit a photo with your application for jobs/internships/etc. in Korea, so it can really help to look pretty. You are a good person! Most plastic surgeons o ly care about the money. Usually, if you go to a plastic surgeon's office for something specific, they sit there and point out every single problem you have on your body, and you end up getting way more work than what you wanted.
"We can do this for you" circling parts of your body that ya didn't consider before...

I liked the video bc of whtchu said about the surgery
It’s heartbreaking what we women have to go through just to feel, and be perceived as beautiful
Most people don't understand the entire interplay of a being that results in beauty.
No, no one "has" to go through surgery. That's insane.
@gingerydelights3554 they only feel like they do. A better discussion would be WHY they feel that way, not why the "have" to
