Boycott SAMSUNG everywhere SAMSUNG is selling high end price devices with 2-3 year expiration dates sadly they scammed their consumers for a money grab scheme.
I have the same problem with my s20+ but i can feel the battery is overheating its been like this from the end of 2022, it goes green can't use it and then charge it if i'm lucky it will come back to normal but will be very hot. i deleted all my downloaded apps, gonna move my photos to a external hard drive and have the battery replaced at samsung and see if it helps because i love my phone and the camera is much better on this model then the s24+ so i want to keep it and not upgrade.
January 17th 2024, my sons s20 started having this exact same issue and him and I both came to the same conclusion that this was predetermined by the companies that after about 3 to 4 years the phones would start failing so you'd be forced to buy a new phone.
yeah i woke up this morning as of now and this white an green screen has happened its weird, i need the phone for work and stuff its important of course.
Mine had this problem too... somehow even with the green screen, i managed to open the settings and scroll the Brightness setting.... after changing the brightness up and down sudenlly get the screen back to work normal
My s20 ultra had same problem would randomly go back to normal managed to fix the problem by going to settings then display change from 60hz to 120hz then change resolution to full HD. Haven't had white blurry screen since so hope it works for others
GUYS NO NEED TO REPAIR, JUST PLUG IN THE CHARGER , WHILE CHARGING WHEN YOU SAW IT GREEN SCREEN. JUST WAIT IT. IF ITS NOT OK THEN PRESS THE POWER BUTTON ONCE THEN WAIT TO GREEN SCREEN AGAIN. WAIT UNTIL FIX THE SCREEN. THIS IS THE BEST TO FIX YOUR PROBLEM AND I TRIED IT. SUCCESFUL
What I did was: >Transfered my files to my laptop using data cable. >Patiently waited until it came back to normal ~ took 10 days. >Did the HARD RESET, Wipe Cache Partition first, then Wipe Data/Factory Reset DO NOT UPDATE the software. Mine is working fine, 1 month and counting.

Guys this happened to me when i woke up i found screen white/green splashing and the fix i did is i left the screen on for 10 minutes on full brightness DONT LET IT TUŔN OFF then it came back to normal by itself then immediately go to ALWAYS ON DISPLAY SETTINGS AND CHOOSE (ALWAYS ON OPTION) DON'T LET IT BE ON TAP TO SHOW SINCE I DID THIS THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED TEMPORARILY NOW YOU CAN BACKUP YOUR DATA AND SELL IT OR REPAIR IT THIS IS NOT SOFTWARE ISSUE THIS IS SCREEN FAIL HARDWARE ISSUE 100%
SQUEEZE THE SCREEN IN ABOVE THE USB PORT. ITS A LOOSE RIBBON CABLE INSIDE!!! Press against the screen hard with your thumbs at the very bottom .25 inches of the screen
Idk about this, but when my samsung went all white, the screen started heating up, especially near the charging port. Do you have any clue as to why this happen ?

Ive been thinking about selling it on ebay but dont want to deal with the hassle of it happening to the next person so im not too sure the best option is for my old phone all though its now in perfectly working condition again
Mine just did this. It was sitting beside me, beeped and then just came up with a fuzzy green and white screen. I restarted it, managed to log in and it was just staying the same. I plugged a charger in and it just went back to normal.
This is actually TRUE! I too did nothing cause it would cost too much. After over a month I fully charged it and reset it by holding power and volume down until it resets. My surprise it was back to normal.

I think it's a swelling battery casuing loose screen contact. Mine got like that after sitting in a hot car. I put it in the fridge for a while and it was back to normal.
both times after samsung said there was an update so it must be a problem with the update so i will keep tapping the phone for the next 3 weeks or so thank you for that reply if you can as to whether you left your sim card in the phone i now have 2 s20 ultraa with the same problem

The problem might be in the cache of the SOC completely drying the battery will empty the cache of the SOC so it will reset and back to normal again alternately there is a recovery mode where you can wipe the cache and it will be back to normal again.

Took mine about 5 weeks, it went back to normal. I knew when I was alerted that the s20 joined my WiFi. I had fully charged it few days before & rebooted by holding down power & lower volume button.
mine is doing the same exact thing as of last night. my screen turned off and now it flashes a white and green light with black spots but it still vibrates when i hold volume down and power off. I cant access it at all.

Yeah it's true super expensive but not heavy duty.
This happened to me too. But luckily my S20 Ultra returned to normal after only 3 days without my having to do anything.

@rodolfocburgos we did that, try to do the adjusting of the screen brightness and it didn't do anything for us.

Always check and charge your cp , just until your cp back to normal
After trying this now I have a permanent white screen :P

Discommet All Cables of charge and screen then reconnecte after 48 hours, will work perfectly no need to replace LCD or do anything

Explain to me how you were able to transfer files if you cant even see your screen to put in the pin number or fingerprint so that you can transfer

As expected I wiped the cache in the recovery mode and after that I started app repair and it worked perfectly.
