After watching you build those houses, seeing how beautifully they turned out, and then seeing all the tornado damage is enough to make a person cry. 😢 I sure hope the right insurance person comes out to check it so they understand all of the damage so it gets the attention it needs to look like new again.
I really enjoyed watching your videos during the house build and fixing flaws at the end. However, I have deep respect for what you're doing for Flair and his family after the devastating tornado damage. You are truly a good person and friend!
Hey Brad, thank goodness you are there to protect Andrew and Maci, and get them what they deserve❤. You are scoring the goodies Taday! Ralphie loves a hat. ❤! Awesome,I haven't seen the baby Ducklings😍. Thanks for being you🤗. JO JO IN VT 💞
This may be the soonest after posting a video that I've managed to get on here and see it. To be the 33rd comment is unheard of, haha! I sure hope Macy sees this video, because I just want to say that she looks FANTASTIC. I'm not even going to add "for a woman who just had a baby" because she just looks lovely. I need you to put a bug in Andrew and Macy's ear though, Brad. Other than knowing the baby was born the night of the tornado, we haven't learned anything else. Name, weight, how she and momma are doing, does Brooklyn love being a big sister, see a picture (or better yet part of a video)... you know - things that nosey ladies like to know. Ask Mary if you need to know what things are important. I'm just so thrilled for them. Andrew works really hard (and has fun doing it) and they've made a lovely home inside the house you built them. I just couldn't be more happy for them. This video was really interesting, unfortunately. It was a great show of just what a tornado can do. We all think of he exterior damage and maybe some water or debris inside where windows have been blown out, but all that minute damage like the pock marks on the drywall, etc. It really goes to show you how powerful and scary those things are! I'm so glad that no people or animals were hurt at their house or yours. Oh... one last question. Andrew and Heavy D managed to get Nate's girlfriend's car out of the fallen shop. Is she able to get it repaired and keep on with it? It seemed to be ok other than some cosmetic things, but that's thru a video. Take care, Heather
Amazing the amount of damage done. Have you considered that the entire structure might have been twisted or shifted on the foundation? Watching the damage you have shown looks like it might have been. I've done training on 3D modeling and precise surveying of structures. It would have been interesting to compare a 3D model of the entire house (interior & exterior) to a before and after the tornado to really visualize the effects of the storm digitally.
To be fair, while it’s nice having your home builder live right next door, Flairs insurance check will inevitably end up being signed over to Brad for the work, so he’s not likely to leave anything out! 😆😆
those are the installers that did my house... they made new windows look like they had been installed when the house was built in 1916. Absolutely great installers.
have you heard of Monolithic Domes? i would love to see what you could design one into. there are an insane amount of possibilities with them, and they are tornado resistant to a huge degree. figure you might be curious about them as a builder =)
Imagine being an insurance adjuster trying to lowball on the cost of repairs and having Brad standing right there telling him exactly what it’s going to cost to fix it….. because he built it all in the first place, and it’s not even a year old.
Hardy panel is definitely one of the best products in the world. I had a car fire about 20 years ago and had a trim piece in my trunk that survived the fire and all said and done I took a brillo pad to the trim piece and it cleaned right up. The car was a total loss melted the aluminum rims.
As an insurance adjuster on the Catastrophe Response Team, we know we will miss things. That's what supplements are for. We only have so much time at each property and we do our best to get as much as we can. If you think you are busy, my deployments were a minimum of 21 days straight 12-14 hours each day. So I know everyone likes to hate on insurance companies, but please be understanding with your adjuster. Get lots of pictures, get bids, and send them in to the insurance company.
So the James hardy board the word you were looking for is impact resistant....second the interlock or as you called concrete pavers saw pervious video of the product that was used it was Unilock product Unilock paveing stone or as well call it in Canada warranty there Stones
Not necessarily. I’ve had claims and friends who unfortunately have had a very similar situation as Flair, and they had no trouble. Insurance adjusters are never friendly with home builders. One party is writing the check and the other party is cashing it. As crazy as it sounds, Brad is going to make a lot of money when it comes to the repairs and rebuild. He isn’t going to leave anything out and will be very detailed. Hopefully Flair doesn’t get any grief. Every industry has their bad apples and good ones too.
@@troybrooks2066 I work in the industry on the car appraisal side, getting people more money than insurance offers on their totaled cars, insurance companies and adjusters are snakes in the grass. I average getting people 3-4k more for their cars and take 95% of what I look at.
@@troybrooks2066They’re not friendly to the builders because they know what to look for, to add onto the cost of repairs, which in return means more money the insurance company is gonna have to cough up to cover the expenses, which they don’t like doing in most cases
Believe it or not, most Adjusters aren't worried about the money. I worked as a Catastrophe Response Team adjuster for one of the larger companies and my goal was to get as much as I could for the homeowner. That is what we were taught and that's what the supervisors drill into us. It's underwritings job to make the company money not adjusters. A big reason we don't tend to like builders is because they tend to be the most condescending, arrogant, and downright rude people we have to deal with. Plus there are a lot of contractors who lie and try to cheat the insurance company as much as they can. They try to slow us down as much as they can and they insult us or curse us out every chance they get. The initial adjuster's job is to get in, get photos, put together a basic estimate with as much as we can see, and get that first payment into the homeowner's hand ASAP. Then we move to the next property. We know full well there will be things we miss on the first look. That's why there are supplements, to add things that were missed on the first estimate. The big reason we don't get everything is we just don't have time to track down every little detail. A normal deployment to an area after a storm is 21-28 days straight, 10-14 hours each day. I've seen guys go as long as 42 days with 2-3 days off over that whole time. So yeah, if the builder is helpful and he's honest, great! The inside adjusters love to have good builders to help find anything we missed or anything that wasn't even visible during the initial inspection.
Sometimes you can get lucky when there are major storms and they bring in 3rd party adjusters who write up everything, but you do have to watch because sometimes they may not know the rules in that particular state.
Note to self - if you have a butt load of $$ to spend building a house then build as much as possible with concrete and rebar to protect from tornados and bombs
Being Flair's house was brand new, will the insurance company pay for his house and exterior property to be exactly the way it was when you handed him the keys or he get a couple windows and one garage door replaced?
Has someone who spent a decade working in lawn care to clean up that glass out of the grass and the rocks get a leaf vacuum play a lot of people use to clean up leaves out of their yard normally that'll have enough Force to get the glass out out of your grass in your Rock beds
If you can help it never ever ever let the insurance company "builders" fix anything on your property. Well they won't actually fix anything. They basically have duct tape that will match every surface available. I've done some work for insurance companies and what they consider fixed is just so bad. If you do use them then find the strictest inspectors you can find.
The insurance company absolutely loves when you sign up with them, and expect their money every month or 6 months whatever you pay.. but when it's time for them to pay you for what you pay for every day. They can't be bothered.. the fact you're required to carry insurance, yet they're not required to do everything they should is completely bs.. hope they pay for EVERYTHING damaged!

Great update on the beginning of the repairs ! 👍🎺
I'm a patch guy in Lincoln. Seems to be a lot of drywall damage. Insurance adjusters never give enough for drywall repair
Good video Brad. Glad you are looking out for Flair & his family. For sure the adjuster will miss a lot of things. Hope it all works out for everyone.
WOW, Great video Brad....Glad you guys are doing well!
I dig the addition of the light instrumental background music, adds a nice little touch to the scenes and transitions 👍

Great content as usual.
Thank you 👍
Love your video. Laughed at you getting free jerky and candy for life . Lol
I love the feel of this video. There must be a different editor because he makes me giggle at Brad more than before
One of those leaf vacuums will get that glass out of the yard and the rocks but may be cheaper to just replace the rock landscape
Good thing you were able to point out all the damage, the cost to repair it (if insurance didn’t pay) has to be very high.

Tell Andrew to use a cast net to catch the rabbit.

That was fun! 😜
It only got better!
Flair always hated that pergola and wanted to make it into structure. He got it! 😂
Cool video 👍
Thanks 👍
Great El Bandido shirt
Andrew is just showing off for the camera pretending to work LOL. Now I know where banjo hides his never ending stash.
Awesome video as always Brad 🎉❤ free Jerky and candy for life what it's like to have amazing neighbours x ❤🎉
Agro tires are a must on a zero turn on any type of slope. Especially a commercial grade those are heavy and slide easily on regular turf tires.
Love the video brad great work
It's funny u took the jerky with your shirt saying "the bandit" lol
🤣 spot on…👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👌

Besides the open and obvious, some blue painters tape would have been nice. Simply stick some on the smaller, visual damage.

Go for new drywall and replacement of any wet insulation. The adjusters hated me
They don’t like me either !!👍
