Sussex students have famously been involved in radical political movements, and the University itself has a progressive history of solidarity and challenging the status quo. From campaigning in the anti-apatheid movement during the 1960s to the national rent strike in 2021 - solidarity, justice and challenging the establishment have always been at the heart of student activism at Sussex.
