I have been in the music industry all my life, and now at 58 years of age, I can tell you Courtney is genuine . I have no doubt here classmates did give her a hard time, and that is mainly due to the song choice and the era in which these songs came from . Now her voice is not suited for all music, and so far she has chosen material that suits her voice and character . The moves she makes on stage are a combination of what she is feeling and nerves , it is free lance all the way, and that is what makes her so original. Elvis had the same kind of nerves . Could she win this contest, sure she can ! It all depends on her song selection during the contest . Her first two picks are perfect and she needs to stick to what works , if she does...she will win!
You need to view her husking videos before you say what suits her voice. When she sings on the street she doesn't do the same as on AGT. She has a wider range than you have seen. She certainly is the real deal.
I have seen them, I have heard the flat notes when she goes deep and sustain notes . she will learn how to hold the right amount of air and use the right amount of force, but until that time, getting the win now is what matters

She's hanging in there for this interview. She really is the real deal. I think she's going to do fine. At least she has a better handle on what she is as a post to some of the young people in the 60s that we lost. It was just overwhelming success and they had no way to understand it at the time. Many people we lost at the age of 27. But I think she's going to do fine. I am very proud of her.
I personally think her growth and opportunities would e better In the US, because of her style of music and her performance. The Younger Generations in the the UK are not ready for her, that’s why she came to AGT. As an ex Brit, I know her talent would be better accepted in the USA.

Please don't give up on the piano when/if you get time, if that is even possible, I am not sure, because you are so popular now. But I think learning at least the basic of keyboard, scales, major and minor seventh chords, circle of fifths, and a lot of 3 chord or easier songs, which many popular songs are. A basic understanding and learning of piano, will actually help your singing and vocals in the long run, and if you ever start writing original tune,s it will be invaluable. But there are thousands of original song writers like me who would love to have such a powerful voice sing one of their songs:) So it is not really a must. Do it only if you can make time for it as an enjoyable musical hobby that compliments your singing.. But not if it adds unnessary burden or work to your already busy schedule. You sing so well you really dont have to do anything else. God Bless you Courtz, and your family. Win or Lose. Million dollars or No dollars. watching this she is a normal teen shy in ways then compare that to her on stage is like a different person which is crazy but not unseen before like other great acts that seemed the same off stage then exploded with their act while preforming like Michael Jackson, prince and others

I get so angry when i see one particular video asking does Courtney deserve to win AGT why in the hell wouldnt she be there are other people competing that are from other countries there are others who have allso competed in other talent shows like Glynis Grace and a few others she has worked hard to get to where she is and at the age of 14 shes had a birthday since she started its not an easy task. This amazing young lady has stolen the hearts of people from all walks of life. It doesnt matter if your black white purple green blue she pulls you in and makes it fun and makes you want to dance Shes as unique as you can get a style thats not typical or boreing. Her last one was released 9/29/2023 called "Monsters" which is pretty hard rock. Each release has been a slightly different genre, which shows Courtney's versatility. Maybe you could let people know of her singles on ET. They are all originals.
Shy and humble off stage. An absolute beast of a performer on stage. On AGT they have mostly "acts". Courtney is not an act, not even close. Vegas isn't her destiny. Concerts, music on the charts, potentially a legend down the road. She really is already a legend.
That gave her time to center herself and calm down. She would have worked the timing out with the band ahead of time. Singers can always rehearse before the show. Certain acts like magicians or the danger acts can't go full out.
You can tell she doesn't act when it comes to being shy you saw her what are father when she got the golden buzzer you see her after she sings when she's talking with the judges you see her in interviews that is one nervous little girl until she start singing and doesn't matter anyways because she is one amazing singer and performer
