I feel like a lot of influencers (or at least the ones I'm following) has made a very noticeable shift in their communication this fall/year. There is more focus on not overspending, not buying things you don't need and to use the products that you have. It can be really stressful when you listen to someone that you consider trustworthy and competent and you want to try all their recommendations. So I really like this change and to see that influencers take responsibility to not promote excessive shopping. Thank you for that! ❤❤❤❤❤
I enjoy panning videos and pan myself. I won’t pan anything that I truly detest. I usually start panning something when I already have a lot of progress on it and feel motivated to use it up. I feel gratification knowing I got my moneys’ worth of the product before it went bad.
Oh, I would love to see a laid back use it project from you! It’s also nice to see favorites continue to be loved and get the satisfaction of using it up completely!

I cannot stress how natural and beautiful the dang Winnie the Pooh highlighters look in me. I can do an incredible soft "no makeup" makeup with all 3 of them. Forget champagne and silver highlighters, pale yellow apparently is heavenly on me. I've hit pan on them. I hit pan on nothing ever. [I use the darker one on my eyes]
Something about this look is so different and yet so so so beautiful, the light hair, the neutral toned skin, the mint/light teal eye makeup = such a gorgeous combination 🤍 P.s. : YES for project pan, I’d looooove to see your version of it !!!!!!!!!!!!

I do like panning content. It might be too much effort, but you could consider making a “update on makeup pans” every 6 months or so. Could be a short video or a chatty grwm topic about makeup usage 🤷🏻♀️
I’ve never tried em cosmetics before, but I ordered the persimmon blush on their Black Friday deal. They also let me pick another blush for free so I got another peachy orange type too. I’m excited to try them. Glad they are still favorites. Love when they have some sheen to them.
I couldn’t be bothered panning something by choice. I monitor how much I use something but that’s as far as I go. I don’t mind watching someone using things up if they are enjoying the process but it’s not my journey. I wouldn’t mind watching someone use those “difficult for me” colours. Every palette has them.
Too much has come out this year for me to remember it ALL, but off the top of my head, I think the Cosmic Brushes/Beauty "Muse" palette was the best of 2023. HIGHLY anticipating your 2023 ranking!!!!! Easily my favorite video of the year.
I didn't buy many palettes this year. Top 5: Nomad Ghost Town USA, Adept Minka, ND Yucca, ND I Need A Nude, Nomad Safari. Still loving from previous years Oden's Eye Hela, Oden's Eye Flora Story, Adept Heather Austin, Nomad Hudson Valley and ND Bronze. The 3 brands I always do a double take on. I love greens purples and grungy color stories.

All I've been doing lately is telling youtube to stop showing me project pan videos, I love my eye shadow, I don't have more then I need and I don't need some stranger on the internet telling me how to use it! Not a fan of empties either, we all use up products but don't feel the need to share it with the world.

Yup. Things I love naturally "hit pan", so I don't need to worry about those. What I will do, for palettes for example, is challenge myself to try to use one for a whole week (if I haven't been near it in a while). Usually let's me know right away whether I want to keep something or pass it along. If anything seems funky, it gets chucked. I'm never risking my eyes!
I agree! My goal is to use my makeup, but hitting pan on eyeshadow is nearly impossible for all shades. Complexion products such as highlighter and face powder is doable, but if a new and innovative product comes along, I am going to try it. But these days, it really needs to be something special. I am in my “comfort zone” with makeup now. I realize very few products actually flatter my 50 year old face. Less is more. Skin perfecting products are what I’m gravitating to- whether it’s in skincare or makeup. I’m less interested in eyeshadow, but I still buy several per year, although the colors are more muted and lighter.
I used to resent makup products whenever I used to force myself to ‘pan’ it. I stopped focusing on paning and started to use positive thoughts about my next purchase. Basicaly low buy - 1-in-1-out approach. I have a list of makeup products that look and sound like something I might like. This way I look forward to use and use up something because something new and exciting is going to replace it. Works for me.
I think you look great and any wrinkles under your eyes are very minor. I like panning videos. They are motivational. I love Alejandra Lisette. That girl is so organized and you really feel motivated to try all the different panning things. I rarely do it. Right now I am using one palette a week. That alone really helps me get to know a palette. I've purged a couple because of it, fell in love with several.
For me the best palette this year was Danessa's Lightworks Vol. 5, as it added exactly what I was missing in my collection. However, my very close second is the Yucca - hands down the best ND palette. The shimmers, the golds, the GRUNGE😍😍
I LOVE doing panning projects! I use a combo of things I LOVE and things I want to move on out. But please don't do it if you don't enjoy it! There is a huge satisfaction in using something completely, especially if you have a large collection! But it can be tedious. And there are SO MANY WAYS to tackle a panning project. Pick and go with the flow of something isn't working for you. You know I'm here for ALL of the content! 😂
To me it's the Trick or Treat palette .. I love all colours but Vampire fangs and Cemetry are pure perfection! After that ig might be the collab between Heather and Unearthly😊

I didn't like the Huda concealer when I first tried it. I persevered because it's expensive 🤣 and now it's one of my all time favourites! I don't know what I did the first time to put me off but it's a staple in my collection now 🙌🏻
For me the best palette of the year (that I’ve tried so far) would be the Glamlite Crazy in Love palette. Which is funny because when it first came out I didn’t even want to buy it for the longest time, but then it ended up being my favorite palette and brought me a lot of joy!
My favorite palette that releases this year… I’d have to say the ND Xenon! But I really love ND I Need A Nude, too. Those are my favorites. The Yucca palette is pretty, in the palette…. Not so flattering on me. I can wear it but the colors don’t complement me. So that palette, even though most people love it, is probably my least favorite palette of the year.
Well Angie for me the best palette I bought in 2022 was your Hella palette. Such good quality and I use all of the colours minus LOL the Hella and Goddess colour but that is because I am over 60 and that is just not my thing anymore. I wanted you to know I had to wait 2 weeks for it to arrive ( although I live in Europe) and I forgot to use your code because the webside was so different as what I am used to. No I am not biased because I follow you, I am just telling the truth and of course I don't buy as much palettes as you do as a beauty influencer. Thank you for all the info!
I tried the Make up Revolution cream bronzer and I have panned it and I typically do not pan very many things. Apparently I enjoy cream bronzer because I used all my Rare beauty and I have pan in my other 2 😂

Wish odens eye would restock those highlighters and blushes, I only got a couple since I figured they werent LE but they haven't rearocked in a year so I dont think they ever will :(
I dont do panning as I dont really have much makeup to begin with. I don't wear many base products except concealer and powder and I have one of each. The only products I have more of is eyeshadow palettes but im talking like 10 palettes. I do have some duplicates in my collection that im trying to pan as I bought them while I was studying in another city and I was tired of bringing my whole collection everytime im home for the holidays. Also, I have one foundation which I bought trying to experiment and now I have to somehow pan it because I realized how much I hate foundation.
I love ND mats but i dont think theres enough versatility on her 15 pan eyeshadows for me to have loTS of fun with them. So for me delicious, trick or treat, halloween town and legend of korra palettes are the most fun releases of this year. Being the Colorpop one the one that surprise me the most since i do not love theyre colorfull formula.

While it isn’t content that has us sitting on the edge of our seats with baited breath, it puts into perspective what we are really using, how long it takes us to use it, and helps me be a more conscious consumer and avoid over buying/ spending. While it isn’t content that has us sitting on the edge of our seats with baited breath, it puts into perspective what we are really using, how long it takes us to use it, and helps me be a more conscious consumer and avoid over buying/ spending.
