Why would anyone have a problem with this. I see people going peacefully about their daily business. This south Asian community has been established since the 1950s. All major cities around the world have these communities. I've never had a problem with Indians. Nicest people you could hope meet.

I am specifically talking about the places that were under direct iron fist rule of the Muslim kings e.g Delhi. However, even Delhi is not 100% Muslim and has never been. The reason is that the Muslims did not try to convert Indians to Muslim. The kings and here I include all the Turk and Mughal kings, almost never bothered with covnersions except maybe some cases that were also for political reasons only i.e strengthen the empire by making people homogenous belief and that is it.
The only people that have actually bothered with introducing Islam to the brown indian hindus (and budhists and others) are the Sufis. Almost no one else took their time out to spread Islam. That is why even today a huge % of Hindus don't even really know the fundamentals of Islam since it was never introduced to them. They just see things like bakra eid and muharram processions and things. Or things like muslim woman's marriage destroyed by man saying 3 talaaks. They know nothing about the fundamentals of Islam or its world view.

As an Englishman, the part I found most annoying was seeing Punjabi written on that train station sign welcoming them to Southall (it doesn't matter if it's punjabi, arabic, Chinese, Russian btw). This is friggin England so learn English if you want to live here. England has a large Polish and Portuguese community as well but you don't see street signs written in those languages, just as much as you don't see signs in Welsh. If you can't speak or read English or have any intention to do so and you're an immigrant then why are you here and what do you have to offer?

Yes, I did some research right after watching the video and it appears that Southall train station is the only train station with such text on a sign, it doesn't appear on any other station sign. Southall has a big Indian community which I have nothing against, but if it was predominately Islamic based, I would have issue with it. The point I'm making is where are the welcoming signs in Polish or Portuguese as England has a huge amount of people living and working here from those countries, what's so special that some local councillor decided to single out one community only and stick 2 fingers up to the rest, regardless if it's Arabic or Punjabi, it's a matter where other languages/cultures are excluded and this particular instance of this sign is not politically correct in my view, it's dedicated to some small minority of people, just because a load of minority's congregate there alienating everyone else, it should just be in English only.........That's how I feel about that sign.

They were screaming and threatening everyone but they were not provoked by anyone. They had no intention of assimilating to the country that welcomed them. In this video the people were peaceful, hardworking, spoke fluent English and just good citizens. They acclimated to the society they immigrated to. Now if they were to try and force their culture on the British that would be wrong. The British have every right to preserve their identity and sovereignty. These people were no threat to that. Southall I enjoyed and learned a lot, as a white british guy from the suburbs my indian friend took me here to the Sikh temple. Was all good , had some food and prayed and was a great learning experience. Sikhs are peacefull and welcoming .

I remember Southall in 1971. The big Indian cinemas were thriving then, beautifully decorated. The main street was much brighter. It's still nice but a bit run down now.
There was a cinema called Himalaya palace which was on the main high street. It has since closed because during the 90s somebody kept burning it down, Im not even joking it was burned down at least 3 times. They rebuilt it in the early 2000s but then I think someone burnt it down again and they turned it into shops.

Chill out people. This is just one town, Southall, also known as little India. And most desi's go there to do their desi shopping, mostly clothes,jewellery etc. There are plenty of restaurants too. It's like a home away from home. The whole of UK is not like this.
