Hey, thanks. I really appreciate that. If you have any suggestions on how to make the videos more enjoyable, please let me know. I did mess up and write the wrong name for a church in this one. First time I've done that. Guess I'll have to be be more careful next time. Thanks for watching.
today is the feast of Saint Agnes of Montepulciano... 3 days away from the april 23rd miracle of the blinking Madonna. Thank you for this and all your videos. i just love Italy! much love from Canada
My wife, two of our friends, and I spent a week in Montepulciano a few years ago. We have all travelled a lot not just in Italy, but all through Europe, and this is our favourite place. Post COVID, returning here is our first trip. We stayed above a family restaurant just to the east of the main square, Osteria del Borgo, which we highly recommend.
Your channel is amazing,I had to move in USA and I miss Italy so much. I spend hours watching your videos just to feel myself a little bit at home...very good quality, you are able to make me live the feelings that I miss so much....thank you!!!
Thanks for this video, it is awesome. All your videos on Italy are just incredible. You are a detail-oriented person and you cover everything. I will continue to watch them as you continue to upload new ones. Thanks again.
Hey, you are are very welcome. I'm glad to hear you are enjoying the videos. Yeah, there is a lot of planning that does into the videos. I have a few more to post up from last summer and a few that I've filmed in the last couple weeks. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for sharing Prowalks, in my opinion you deserve a million subscribers because of the awesome work that you do. You allow the world to travel with you to all those great places where people like me will never be able to travel. Your camera work and drone views are also awesome. I watched almost all your videos and I keep going back to them over and over again. For instance the Greek ruins, I have watched it so many times. I think it's because I try to imagine how life was like in that mega city. It's amazing!!! 💕💖

So beautiful! My late husband & I were there for a week in spring 2009. We stayed just outside of town in a old monastery turned into a B&B. Thank you, this video brought back very fond memories.🍷
I was waiting for a new video from ProWalks ,beautiful Tuscany ,Montepulciano is a small town with so much character, would love to visit one day...lovely , bright day to do a walk around, thank you for the lovely walk, stay safe and we'll my friend, Ciao.
Hey Dave, I almost didn't get this one posted up in time. I kept getting errors when I tried to export the video. Montepulciano is definitely a nice place to spend and afternoon and evening. I wish I would have been able to film a better tour of the Ricci winery. Hope all is well. Next up, Paris.
Thank you so much for showing this video. You capture almost everything. I felt that I was walking right there. You deserve many view to enjoy your video. I’ll be following more of your video.
Thank you for filming this! I was here in 2018, and spent two weeks studying at Il Sasso language school. However, you filmed this in the summer of Covid, so the streets are deserted compared to what I experienced-so sad. At least now in 2024, it will be lively again. Ciao,
Achingly beautiful...... The combination of light, stone and greenery paints a moving panorama. I can't imagine how crowded it gets here in the summer though.
Very nice video. Helpful commentary. Also pleased to see you wearing a mask when going into buildings; quite a few seen in the video clearly weren’t. Which watch other Prowalk videos. Keeping me sane while walking on a treadmill in UK lockdown.
Thank you Prowalk Tours for this great video. I was hoping you would show us some of Tuscany. After seeing small snippets of Tuscany in movies it was great to see more. Safe travels to you and your family.
Another stunning town. I'm always amazed that many churches located in Italian towns look plain on the outside but are absolutely breath taking and ornate inside. Another great video. Thanks!!
Thank you so much for your interesting walks, well filmed and very interesting comments. I thought 𝙈𝙊𝙉𝙏𝙀𝙋𝙐𝙇𝘾𝙄𝘼𝙉𝙊 was just another Tuscany Hilltop town, but you showed us what a great place it is to visit! That underground wine cellar tour was amazing, who knew the was so much under the town! We are not happy about travel in this Covid times so an hour or two before bed, we couch travel and always look forward to your great videos. Thank you so much.
Enjoy your walk videos. Watched every single episodes! Thank you for the high quality videos. I'd suggest that you travel north to the Dolomites area. We were there 2 years ago. That Alpan mountain area is on the top of the list of most fascinating mountain sceneries in the world. I'm sure you'll love it and make top notch videos in the Dolomites.
Wonderful! My mom is from Montepulciano and got married in San biagio. Now we live in Cortona and i hope that you will come to make a tour here as well!
I had the pleasure of studying abroad 5 weeks in this town this past summer :) I already miss it so much! There’s a water fountain in front of the park near the Porta prato, and if you want cheap snacks Conad is where its at! If you wanna try pigeon ravioli go to L’atro Cantucci I think! And a wonderful desserts at Cafe Poliziano. If you want wine tasting with a stunning view go to enoliteca at the Fortezza from the Piazza grande! You should also climb the bell tower and visit the torture museum :)
@@ProWalks I unfortunately didn't especially since I have to be older to rent out a car. But thankfully since I was with my study abroad group a lot of things were set up for us and we went to lots of towns by bus together such as Pisa, Orvieto, Rome, Florence, Arezzo, and Sienna! And if we wanted we could travel with a group on weekends and I got to know Pompeii and Venice! It was an experience of a lifetime and I love all the art, history, and culture in Italy! I can't wait to go back and visit one day :)
So all those scenic lookouts are out to the west, correct? The video is 1h40, but there's some cutting. How much time do you recommend for a first-time visitor to Montepulciano who doesn't have to see everything (e.g. churches) and has no interest in wine. Two to three hours? Or more?
You could easily park, walk from one end to the other, feel like you saw Montepulciano, and be on your way in two hours but if you aren't interested in the churches or wine, there are probably better places to go.
@@ProWalks Well, there's always the architecture, view, food and general vibe. I'd argue that If Montepulciano isn't for you, hardly any town in Tuscany is. I'll be travelling from San Quirico D'Orcia on that day, want to also visit Arezzo and drive to Florence in the evening. A packed day, but I hope 2-3 hours each in Montepulciano and Arezzo will give me a good first impression.
There are a few pay parking lots along the outside of the town, Parcheggio P8 - Il Bersaglio, Parcheggio 7 - P7 and Parcheggio 6 - P6. There is a free parking area along a dirt road at the base of the town. I parked for free on Via di S. Biagio, just on the other side of the city gate. In town though, I think those are all reserved for residents only.
