    The genuine excitement at the punching motion was fun to watch. It's always awesome to see something that was once in our head work in real life.

    Why not use a motor to move the arms ? Stepper motor etc

      That is certainly a great option. I really wanted to use pneumatic cylinders because I think they're cool, and probably cheaper than a stepper motor of the same strength.
