    Disclaimer: I no longer suggest using Wized for complex web applications, I highly suggest Toddle as a scalable alternative.

      thanks for the update, can I ask why do you no longer see Wized as a viable option?

    • @NoCodeProCode
      @NoCodeProCode  4 месяца назад +1

      @@CharlieBradford-i4m For multiple reasons, for example here are a few:
      1. Vendor login (You are stuck in using Wized for life, no usable code export or self hosting)
      2. Webflow is not build for Web Apps, and the hosting for Wized web apps is not Web Apps hosting but landing page hosting adding limitations for PWAs.
      3. It’s very very very expensive, it’s one of the most expensive NoCode tools, that’s not even NoCode.
      4. You have to be hacky if you want custom functionality, and this shows that it’s not a good tool - as a good tools makes hard thinks simpler, but Wized makes a bunch of things actually harder due to the abstraction it adds to Webflow.
      5. Projects build in Wized feel choppy and don’t feel like apps, because you are not building an app (on a technical level) you are adding interactions to a landing page.
      6. It’s not a native solution for Webflow, it’s not officially recommended by Webflow, as per my knowledge.
      7. I’ve seen multiple people loose their life savings on very renowned Wized agencies that never delivered good work or even a usable product / project - why, because it’s not the right tool for the job.
      8. Too many service interruptions, it feels like there are a bunch of issues internally that cause web apps to not work - I remember the time (a few months ago) when all Wized apps using secrets didn’t work for a whole week, or when Wized apps just broke cuz there were to many actions in them and people suggest to just use multiple Wized projects on your web apps (which is a terrible idea)
      But I’ve got way more…
      I’ve known these things and did live with them for a while and it was actually ok - but hearing the troubles form the community with it and others being stopped or held back on delivering / finishing their projects did encourage me to look for alternatives and I found Toddle.
      Toddle is NoCode made Open Source, it’s everything that Wized is not and that’s why I like and suggest Toddle (also they got a really and nice and supportive team and Andreas and Vakis are just amazing!) 😃

    • @NoCodeProCode
      @NoCodeProCode  8 месяцев назад +1

      @@whatifgoal Because in Wized you use JavaScript to render content on an empty HTML document, where with CMS you are serving the content already in the HTML document pre-rendered which will make it scrapable by web scrapers ;-)

    • @design4donuts-zi4zl
      @design4donuts-zi4zl 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@NoCodeProCode Is this a solvable issue? I guess right now, best bet is to use the cms as much as possible and use finsweet combine attribute for the rest.

    • @NoCodeProCode
      @NoCodeProCode  8 месяцев назад +2

      @@design4donuts-zi4zl This really depends on what you build in Wized - If you build a SaaS and the Wized Made Pages are gated anyway - why would you need them to be indexed for SEO? 😀 - Public Pages and Blog Posts should be indexed for SEO and should never be rendered using Client Side JS.
      Now an example: If you gate a CMS Page with Memberstack and disable JS in your Browsers Dev Tools Memberstack will be disabled and Users can access your Gates Content for Free, with Wized since JS is used to Render the Content as well the page will be blank and your content will be protected 😄

      You say it's easy? What I want is for each user to have private access to their profile. They should be able to create it through a form. Some fields would have options to choose from and the ability to upload images. Then, this profile is rendered, and the user can view and edit each field if there is something they want to change.
