That is a nice looking tele. The circle string tree is 50s spec, butterfly is 60s so they’ve tried to match the era. I think the fretboard looks surprisingly nice. If for any reason you want to change the pickups, I’d recommend the Fender Pure Vintage 64 set, they’re very well balanced, no brashness.
Great guitars. I modded mine with Seymour duncan quarter pounder in the bridge. Vintage Seymour duncan in the neck. Brass saddles and a black pickguard. All parts were from Ebay auction. It's definitely a keeper now. Great player. Love the neck.
That's a lovely set of classic looking "Fender" guitars, Rich. The fretboard on those look rather nice too 👍 I think the circular string tree are on the 50's series. With those two guitars, I expect to hear sone SRV and Springsteen covers 😁
I do have one of these.....but mine is in Butterscotrch Blonde, I got it off some guy on RUclips......🤔😄 and anyway its my absolute favorite guitar.....😏
I've got a 1996 Mexican Standard Fender Tele with a maple neck, which I bought new at the time from a music shop in Manchester when it was in a sale (I can't remember how much I paid for it, but it was definitely less than 300 quid although keep in mind that was getting on for thirty years ago). It's okay, but it's not significantly better than many decent Tele copies you can find these days for just over a ton. Yeah it's 'cool' that it's actually got Fender on the end of it if one is bothered about that kind of thing, but as with every guitar, it's what you do with it, not what logo is on it that really matters.
See now i think that is nicer looking than the Harley Benton. I think i must be the only person who doesn't care what fretboard wood is used dont like thick gloss on a maple board tho i just think it never looks good
I used to have the Japanese Fender Custom Tele, stupidly got rid of it. Really digging the Squier, that looks brill.
@@GraemeCampbellMusic thanks Graeme, I played one of those on a shop, stunning guitar!

Thanks Mr Cliffhanger. Agreed on the fretboard, I got a good one here
I’ve got that model it pinches way above its price. A true telecaster the pickups are spot on.

@@damien6997 black pick guard, that sounds likes great shout 👍🏻
I have the 70s classic vibe in that wierd green finish. I like the humbucker in the neck and traditional bridge pick up combo
That’s a great combo for sure
Nice looking Tele Rich…… been looking at getting one of these for ages….. might have to take the plunge 😊….. keep the vids coming 👍🏼
Well worth it in my opinion 👍🏻
@ yeah…. Gonna have to get one , look so classy, maybe have to put a railroad humbucker in the bridge ….. but that’s just me 😊
@ you’ll not be disappointed!
Evening rich you can't gave obe without the other.lol . Great looking guitars.thanks for sharing ATB Sam 👍
Haha cheers Sam

Beautiful guitar. I do love the Classic Vibe run. That said, I really liked the white/pinkish set you just got rid of, so opinions clearly vary.
@@oldmanzen6682 me too. I wish those ones were actually white and I’ve have kept them 😕
The pink and gold was a lot prettier to me :D each to their own though!

I’ve got that too, a Chinese one. It’s beautiful. But it’s heavy. How’s the weight of yours Rich?
This is light. Different wood on the new ones. My old Chinese one was heavy too. Lovely guitars 🤗
