Awesome dude. Really well done. I've lost over 4 stone and have a real passion for running now. I've just seen an add for the ultra, so looked up on RUclips. Not sure about the 100km, but definitely toying for the 50km. Big love 💙
Thank you mate, it was a tough year to train with needing surgery and then getting Covid, but I did it! It's my 40th birthday trip next year, I hope you can make it.
Ahh, I‘m entered into the first 50km section in June and I‘m even more psyched after seeing this video!! Losing 4 stone is an amazing achievement in itself. 👏
Also, the cows were probably all facing the same way because they turn their bum to the wind/ rain/ rubbish weather. Like us, animals don‘t particularly like having bad weather in their faces…!
Thank you for your comment and sorry for the late reply. I am also signed up for the June run, but I am doing the 100k in a day, so lots of training ahead of me. Good luck and please say hello if you see me.
Hi great video mate. Well done. May I just ask if it was many people running, looked like the runners were all very much spaced out. Also how long did it took the first day first 50k? Thank you
Hi, sorry for the late reply and thank you for your comment. I haven't been active for a while. In total, there was 1400 people. I am not sure exactly how they work out times etc, but I came 8th place overall, whatever that means. Sorry I can't give you anymore details.
Hi. I am really sorry for the late reply, as I have been inactive for quite some time and have only just seen this. The shoes I was wearing for this race were Peregrines, but honestly they weren't for me as they caused me a lot of problems with my knees and ankles, but that's not to say they wouldn't be ok for you. I believe they have a 4mm drop, and I was used to having a 12mm drop. Personally, I like a bigger drop with lots of rear cushioning for the land. I just find I can run much longer distances with fewer problems.

Thank you, buddy, your comment is much appreciated. Well done to you too for shifting four stone! Did you end up signing up to the ultra?

Cheers Danny. I hope you're well.
You ran 100km, imagine if you’d set off a little earlier, you could have simply walked!. 😇
Another great vlog, please keep them coming.
Would you wear calf compression socks next time like Thomas?
Nice going on your 100 k..
Those grass sections looked inviting 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you. I think I will be wearing them on my next big run in June 2025. I am doing this one again but doing it in one day.

Well done from over the Pennines (north Lancashire).
Thank you!
Hello Shane, I’m gonna do this race next year. What do you suggest on footwear? I’m now aiming towards the saucony peregrine.
