The men's dubs final made up for this one... This was my first PPA event I went to, really enjoyed watching you and Q be so aggressive. I love Q's twoey dinks to the corner. So much pressure. Y'all make a great pairing.
I got to like and respect Ashon more and more for the fact that he is humble enough to point out his errors and compliments the opponents, that’s huge! Go Ashon! You are a great PB player in both double and single play. Proud of you! Keep it up! 👍
Ok. Thanks for sharing. Here’s my 2 cents: 1/you’re too hard on yourself. On the one hand you say, they have more experience and time playing than you do and on the other hand you put yourself through pain and embarrassment because you judge yourself for not having performed well enough. 2/ what makes them so good, especially Ben, is how relaxed and centered they remain, allowing them to stay smooth and in the zone which is where all great performances stem from. 3/ Give yourself the time to become great(er). You’re doing great as it is. You’re lucky to have awesome competitors like Ben and AL to flex your talents against. If you see what Ben and Collin have been doing in the past few months, taking the time and space to lose so they could explore a different play style and strategies so they could raise their game even higher, that’s a good example of what it takes to be great. Look at their performance in Atlanta. Good luck and all the best! 👍❤️
Ashlon is very honest person. His analysis is the best thing for my game. Such a great job breaking this match down.so funny he couldn't get analysis out so he says breakdown 😭 funny sense of humor. Another excellent analysis , Great and entertaining video
It nice to see and hear all these great way to strategies your way into your game play. Thank you for sharing all your great thought on trouble shooting oneself on the court...NYC CITYSLICKER PICKLEBALL
Thanks Christian for the video. This is very helpful for intermediate players like me to improve my game. Honestly, I am a big fan of Ben Johns. But I will be cheering for you too. Good luck and hope to see you at Atlanta next year.
Great breakdown! Thank you for your openness about how it felt to lose. I am not at your level but when I lose an important match, I too feel just. So. Upset.
Thanks for sharing Christian - i love watching you play - your intensity is changing the game! Keep working hard and getting better you will be #1 someday.
Hey Christian. Love your insight and perspective man. Beginning my Pickleball journey in DC. Might as well go for it. Thanks for posting these. Huge nuggets!
thanks for the video, all I can say is that your game is awesome, maybe the only difference is Ben/ALW know their mental game, they are relaxed and in another games even when /if they have low score they are relax, which is really hard specially when you gets frustrated when you have good shots and that it is not helping score more points.
Interesting analysis. I think you bring up some points that I haven’t heard before. Specifically that they play like a mens doubles team lol but I can see that although maybe ALW poaches better than most of the men too. Thanks again!
You are a great pickleball player, so is Anna Bright! Keep what you do, eventually it will pay off! Just like Anna Bright won the women’s double over Anna Leigh! All of you are great players! 👏
I subscribed to your channel and newsletter. Also liked the video. Would be interested in more Pro Mixed Doubles analysis and strategies to implement into my game. Thank you. Fingers crossed for that beautiful new paddle. 🤞
Don’t get upset gonna be OK just keep practicing here. I’m 71 years old. I’m still playing pickle ball you gonna be fine. You’re gonna make it guarantee that OK
Serving towards the corner pocket, the diagonal distance is 48.4 feet, compared to the 44 feet from baseline to baseline. This diagonal angle gives you an extra 4.4 feet of space, offering more margin for error and allowing you to serve deeper.
The pain of analysis will be far less than the pain of being unaware of what happened. - earlier in the year for Singles you made the point of focusing on the 1st 4 shots. - That was and is Gold. - Deep makes the opponent weep. - You are there and learning. Compare to 1 year ago, its coming.
On the third example, Bright make a good drop and you moving in, that was good a move, but when Anna push the ball back to Bright and Bright have to attempt another drop from the back again, at that moment you should retreat back to defense to regroup, because it's no guarantee she can make a good drop. You become a sitting duck standing in the kitchen and got toasted.
Just fix one thing. Committing to that one thing will make a huge difference in your results. Missing a shot is not the same thing as missing the play. You're smart to go back and evaluate.
On the third example, it was Bright fault by not stand her ground when both of you are guarding the kitnen. She got scared and taken a step back. That missed an opportunity to punch the ball back at Anna.
Most mixed teams focus on the men being the “alpha” and the women being the support. But Ben and ALW make sure to create offensive moments for the gal. I think if you could try to create more offense for the girl while still staying ready for put aways yourself you might find some more success.
It's hard to say your partner isn't near their level without saying she isn't near their level. I remember this match, your partner needs to lighten up and also get up to the line faster. You're great, you were very handicapped.
Thanks for sharing your analysis. I’m a big fan of your play and of your personality. However, I think that it would be Ben Johns and not you lamenting the outcome of this match if you had switched partners!
In the second played, you have made a mistake by not targeting the weak when you dink across court to Ben. , that give Ben the chance to flick and attack at the weaker Bright.
Basically, there one reason - a doubles team breaks at its weakest link, and ALW is much better and especially much better able to rally with men than any other woman - most of your reasons come back to that too. You'd be number 1 with her too.
Flip the script. Play the right and let the girl play the left next time then attack the female straight on try something different. But keep working you’re gonna be there man. But it’s hard to beat the team with the number 1 female player who is so much better then number 2 female it’s crazy her gap.
I love how a 3:30 seconds explaining he sends shots at his own teammate, "Ben is very good at attacking women, when I do that to ALW she will just counter it" throwing mad shade at anna bright, even though bright just beat ALW in womens doubles.
The bad part is you hit a bad shot or make a bad decision almost every point and you don't even realize it. You are giving them all the credit when you don't even know your making mistakes. 13:40 you say "I hit a really solid drive". That is a terrible drive, you don't drive to the forehand of the #1 player in the world. You should of hit a hard dipping drop to his back hand. I could go on on about your shot selection.... You'll never beat these guys till you get better strategy. You need to ask Flemming or the guy who broadcasts to help you. Cause you and your coach have no clue...
I feel you, bro; that's how we got better. Learn from our mistake to get better for the next one.. Even you're the best, there's always room for improvement..

You are so generous doing this! Love the breakdown. You guys are great, I think AB plays too back in general.
Great breakdown! You’re gonna beat them one of these days soon I have no doubt 🏆

Great Insight. Would
Love to hear you mic up during a game and hear your inner voice narration in your head. Like the do in BJJ

Those two just don't ever miss... its wild.
Analysi? 😆 I like that, I might use that too. 😅

You gonna be fine don’t worry about it. Just be happy.

How many paddles do you bring to a tournament? Are there a few that don’t get checked off by the tests?
“She does a dumb lob…” 😂

Um, can I have one of those paddles?! 😂

Podcast will be better without the background music
Or way lower volume.
Pressure makes you play a different game. Well done anyway....dont beat yourself up too much....they are No1 for a reason.

I said you’re gonna be fine
Why Collin was so mad with you yesterday ?
Collin is always mad.
@@wayne6674 came here to say this lmao
Apparently when Alshon beat them in Vegas Collin said Christian had some rude things to say so he asked him if he had anything to say this time
@@goldenchildtheater yeah I imagine there was some beef from before because that was weird
@@wayne6674 He does seem bitter all the time doesn't he. Maybe personality *shrug*
good stuff. get yourself a microphone?! even some airpod's. sounds like you're on a speaker phone.
Working on it 👍
Be easy on yourself. We win we lose. It is only a game
Is this video aimed at anna bright 😂.

Didn't you date the female on that team?
Ure literally a bot
@23:29 you think that ball could’ve gone out?
