Great video! Jenny, you did a great job. You seem to have one of the good ones lol. You definitely got a good man in, Mitch. Hoping nothing but the best to “Beet farmin Mitch” and family. Thanks for sharing and have a blessed day!
Thank you "3"! for just giving us another glimpse of your life. Beautiful family. Enjoyed the vid. God Bless. Loved seeing Oliver going out at the market.
Awwww!!! The cutest baby!!! I am a coffee snob as well. Maybe one day you can share some of your favorite coffee recipes. Blessings to you & your beautiful family! Thank you for sharing!🥰🥰
Thanks for sharing your work, your wife and son....so good to see you all in the combine. I missed seeing a Bible verse in your video., will look for it next time. May God's richest blessing rest upon you and your family.
WOW!!! What blessings all around!!! I grew up on the farm and dreamed of having a marriage like yours. Even though I did get married, but it didn't work out, I am now divorced for about 22 years. Even though I still dream of a marriage like yours, I now realize that God had other plans for me. ENJOY!!! I can live vicariously through you and your family.
Thanks for your video. What a precious family together. Mitch, if you dont mind my invasive question, how many wheat acres do you farm-? I will understand if you prefer not to answer. God bless you nice folk.
Have you had any problem with falling numbers on the wheat. The crops in the southern valley had a problem with that after we had a couple inches of rain and delaying harvest. Your wheat looks real good up there .
My friend…. That wheat is laying a little too flat on and ground 😂! Look into dif varieties, obviously the weather must’ve been a huge factor! Bless you
Yes weather was a huge factor. It really wasn’t laying too bad, so still manageable to combine at least! But yes variety is a key difference in whether a variety stands or falls more. There’s a wheat variety called “Faller” and it had bushels, but the protein was low and it was fall over.
We thought that was going to be an issue, but we didn’t have to stop the combines because of the cart surprisingly. 800 bushel Brent. It kept up! The unloading auger on the cart is so big so that helps, and the combines unload fairly quick too, so my brother Jason kept up!
@@beetfarminmitch Thanks for your excellent video.
Some farmers are now dumping their wheat into semis on the go instead of dumping into grain carts. It is worth thinking about and trying out since the dollars affect the bottom line. There are advantages such as less fines in the grain from less augering without a cart, less fuel used, less manpower required, less wear on machinery, more profit etc. Other crops such as potatoes, sugar beet, corn silage and some vegetables are directly dumped from the harvester on the go into trucks instead of being dumped into a cart. No problems for us thankfully. Lowest was 325, anything 300 or less is kind of the like for bread quality.
I heard of one sample here that got 60. A lot were in the lower 200’s

Beet farming, Oliver! Or, in this case, wheat farming Oliver
Cute👍👍👍
With 3 combines looks like you need a larger grain cart!
We thought that was going to be an issue, but we didn’t have to stop the combines because of the cart surprisingly. 800 bushel Brent. It kept up! The unloading auger on the cart is so big so that helps, and the combines unload fairly quick too, so my brother Jason kept up!
