    Between this and the agm asp tm25-384 which would be better between the 2 say for quality, longevity and use for coyotes?

    • @hunterm.moreno4201

      If you haven’t already made your decision. The specs of the Key XM30 are superior. The TM-384 isn’t bad it is just too big for my taste.

    I have bought a Pulsar CORE 1.6-6.4x thermal sight and this Pulsar Axion XM30 Key over the last two months for night calling coyotes. I watched your reviews on both and for the $ I think it's a killer setup for the hills of eastern Ohio where I hunt. Thanks!

    I’m mainly a night vision guy, and shoot with head mounted binos and a laser, but I like to do some hunting on the side. I’m looking to add a thermal of some kind, mainly looking at a monocular. In your opinion, which of the following has the best image and detection range; the XM30, XQ23v/XQ30v,or HD19/HD38? Also thinking of getting a RXQ30v or similar for the weapon mounting capability. This will mainly be used for checking for predators around a farm at night, and some hunting. Thanks

    "beginner thermals" yes because $1,899 is something beginners have.
    To a beginner like me this is a pro level thermal monocular and if your like me and can't cough up a months pay to get some thermals then get a Flir monocular for only 2 weeks of pay.

      HansETX thanks. I’d be interested if I should spend the extra $1200. I’m just doing East Tx hog hunting. Mostly sitting in my stand after dark. 150yds of vision would be plenty.

      @@Jonperret The axion is much better than the scout line in general. I would advise you go with an axion because you'll get more use out of it should you ever need it.

      @@Damian-Church-NZ This is true, but the biggest difference is identification distance. The scout is barely usable unless you just want to see a heat signature. The axion can identify at greater than 100 yards.

    So i got to test my new Axion Key in the weekend in the Kaimaniawa mountains here in New Zealand and it's better than I thought it would be, the range over the tussock lands was easy to spot animals over 1.5KM they stand out really well, the zoom seems to only work to five times as things get blurry over that so theirs no point in my opinion I could see rats in trees at 200m and I Did see a load of deer, I could not see antlers but a really good unit for me, the screen is not the best as you can tell when you zoom in and I would say it is the reason why it is the cheep model but a great unit for spotting.

    • @HansETX

      Thanks great Damien.. thanks for the feedback 👍🏻 sounds like it perfect for you

    • @Damian-Church-NZ
      @Damian-Church-NZ 5 лет назад

      Also it started snowing very heavy and through the Axion the screen just looked white with no chance to focus or any vision really until an animal came into view so with no color contrast that made it difficult so in below zero I had to focus in and out to pick the animals but when I could see them they where very bright and obvious, also not great in the rain.... still a better unit than I would of thought by far.

      Damian Church, I'm thinking of getting one of these for spotting Possums in NZ instead of the usual spot lighting. Any thoughts? Rats at 200m sounds like it could work

    • @Damian-Church-NZ
      @Damian-Church-NZ 5 лет назад +2

      @@todayintwostroke7306 it works great and you can get close before you turn a torch on to shoot them as I found most animals don't see as well at night as I thought. Last week I had a deer walk out of the bush on a track 100m behind me and I watched it feeding, I just walked past it so a torch scares everything off where this is perfect for the price. I just spent 8 days in the bush and seen 22 deer but most were at night so I didn't get to shoot one but epic to see what comes out at night when you aren't shining a torch around.
