Mike, word of advice....normalize your audio. For instance, your speaking parts are very low causing me to boost my volume, however, your music starts playing very loudly. This was causing me to put my audio lower each time.
If you normalize the audio then this can be avoided for your viewers.

Hdr game mode looks terrible no matter what I change the settings to
HDR shouldn't make things worse, the main function for HDR on 4k tv's are for brightness and contrast and color accuracy. I would check to see what the image is like without HDR, and if it is low quality to begin with, I would understand how it looks terrible in HDR as well.
