All of which none of my doctors cant explain and just chalk it up to basic anxiety. Exactly. In this life we live we all have different views and teachings from how we came here. In life we all have different religions and beliefs and always fight to see which one is the “right one” but what if instead of trying to see the differences we try to see the similarities. People say natives are savages and don’t believe in a god or people say Allah and Jesus are so different but if we all just realize we’re all so close to believing In the same thing we would realize we’re not all far off. All our humans lives for thousands of years we have been fighting which god or church or religion is the true one but if we all just saw that we all believe in the same thing but just in different versions and ways we’d see we all believe in the creator and In creation. After watching this RUclips video and hearing this story it’s so similar to all the different beliefs and gods and religions that are taught and believed in by many ppl in this life. we all do have our own stories from our own backgrounds proving there is something after this life if only we could come together instead of fighting and realize we’re all on the same page. From being a native kid religion and “god” was a touchy subject for me in my native life and throughout history and the years ppl saw us as savages and thought we didn’t believe in any thing or have a heart or compassion they saw us as animals. But with this video right here and our teachings it goes to show what we believe in is not far off on what others believe In and our creator sounds very similar to “god” our sky world is heaven. When I saw these similarities it blew me away cuz yes what ur comment says is very true man. I agree completely with you🙌

When I think about my spiritual traditions. My father was Scottish Catholic and Jewish, my mother was French Canadian Catholic and Potowatomi first nation's Canadian, and my French Canadian grandmother was also a Tarot teacher and Reader, a Witch, I ultimately took after my beloved grandmother, the French Canadian Tarot Bell, Book and Candle Tarot reader, as that is what I am.
So, I am Witch, a Bell, Book, and Candle Tarot reader, just like my grandmother! And I love it. My real spiritual legacy.
Even though I am 1/4 Potowatomi, though my first nation's Canadian friends say, "you are the most Potowatomi that we still have" because most Potowatomi have been wiped out. For me, I am a witch. A woman healer, a nurse by professional experience and education, but I am a witch by my grandmother.

To me there is no better way to pass down a cultures history than through storytelling. I'm Irish and years ago read a boom called Ireland. It's was about thr last storyteller in Ireland. Yes, it was fiction, however, the stories told were those that had been passed down from the beginning of Ireland. An incredible book and still rates as my all-time favorite. This video is truly a gift. I'm honored to have been able to share in some of the Cree Nation's culture and history.

I’ve heard of Larry Cesspooch for what seems like my whole life. I’m 18 years old and my mom grew up in Utah, next to Larry Cesspooch’s house. I’m not native that I’m aware of, my grandfather was an Olsen, very Danish, but my grandma was very into family history and claims we are related to who we know as “Pocahontas”. I know she is not Ute. I have always been fascinated with Indians and as I grow older I’ve started wanting to learn of their cultures more and their languages. Could be due to my ancestors, they were close with the Utes, a close bond with respect and trust on both ends, in the later 1800s. Anyway, I admire natives and have become more and more interested. I love hearing their stories and prophecies. I remember a man named Willard(hope o spelled it right) who lived near Cesspooch and near the place my mom grew up, it was many years ago when I was little but I remember us stopping and visiting with him for a moment. I would like to visit and learn with more natives. There are NAS programs at colleges, however I’m not sure what life will bring and don’t know if college will be in my future. I basically go where the wind takes me, where God takes me. But maybe someday I can learn to speak the language(s) fluently and study the cultures

This may seem a bit trivial, but i just got off a call where we were contemplating how to change the world, we had talked about several past formulas about what had worked and what had not. We want to make the world a better place! (of course this is based off of your idea of what is better) but what it boiled down to logistically was "TELLING A STORY". We are all people and no matter what we do or what industry we work in, it always boils down to what story do you want to tell and what story are you truly telling. The media is telling all sorts of stories and no one has much of anything in the way of a complete picture. Lets tell stories to ourselves and our own families and make ourselves better from the stories, lets let the world grow from good stories and make the world a better place! We all really want to have good lives, and the best way to do that is to be good people! So lets be good people and make life better for all of us!

Ryan Povilaitis: I don 't think it trivial. If we each tell our own 'stories' & share them with others & share the 'stories' we hear from others we just might get a more complete picture! I believe we all have different perceptions to be able to see 'our' part of that picture. If we put our different parts together what could we see?!

while he was telling the story, his voice sounded like he was talking to a bunch of kids around a fire or in a tepee or lodge just sitting there on some furs listening with rapt attention while he sort of whispered the story til they fell asleep, to the distant howl of a coyote.

I hope it's not from a DNA test because those aren't very accurate, as they change often. But if it wasn't that, then they should contact their tribe and start to learn about their people and the enrollment process. Good luck!

Wonderful story. Thank you for sharing. This is perfect for Native creation myth example in class. Symbolism of the importance of the 4 directions, trickers with coyote, moral lesson from coyote's curiosity and the connection of all life being something that coexists not above or below something else but together. Also, so many native myths are difficult to read because they are meant to be told, sung or acted out exactly like this!
