    Hey! This Exhibition looked amazing. I'm currently writing mine and my prompt is "Are some things unknowable", I'm still struggling to find my 2 objects. I wanted to use a bible as one, and talk about whats after death as many religions believe in different things. I'm still struggling to find another but i'm thinking of changing the first as well as you said its good to stay in the same theme. It's quite confusing :D

      Hi! I can't help you decide on your objects, but hope you'll find it soon! Also, fyi, I changed my objects a few times too, it's part of the process :)

    Hi! Thank you so much, this video has been really useful for me while writing. You give a really good basis for the structure and I really needed that. I have one doubt, and it is about use of sources and information. Do I need to investigate concepts or theories, and give a detailed account of them in this? Or is it lax about it and I can just talk from a general point of view?
    If this is something obvious, I am sorry. But I really need to know.

    • @nadventures

      Hi, I don't really understand your question, so please let me know if my answer makes no sense to you haha
      I think it depends on what you're using those infos for. If as explanations to support your points, then some kind of detail is needed. If as examples, the can be less detailed as long as your point is conveyed clearly.

      @@nadventures answer it. It was badly formulated so thanks for the effort ;)
      The doubt comes from me having trouble to distinguish between my Philosophy class and ToK. Not because the clases are similar but because of my own personal thoughts on both subjects. So I kind of wondered if I had to work with the same amount of theories as I do in philosophy. For example working with different specific author and such things.
      Maybe, the question would be, how much of those type of things are needed, if at all?
      Also, sorry for the intensity 🙇‍♀️

    • @nadventures
      @nadventures  5 месяцев назад

      @@veronicarodriguezg3613 Nope, you don't need to have so many theories. From how I'm seeing it, TOK is about showing how you think, and it does not necessarily involve a lot of theories.

    Hey!! The prompt I have chosen is: "How can we distinguish between knowledge, belief and opinion?". I plan to use one object to represent one term. Is this right?

    • @nadventures
      @nadventures  Год назад +1

      Hi, that is a possible structure. However, I think you might find it really difficult to find the objects. Also, remember that the main question is "distinguish", so always build ur argument around how they are different from each other instead of what they are separately. Hope this helps!

      I did that question I got 9 and I know someone who got a 10 using that structure. That’s the best way to answer the question but remember to read the rubric and “distinguish”. The structure are very simple
      Context
      Justification for choosing that object
      Say what does the object represent (knowledge, belief or opinion)
      Reason why that’s the case
      Reason why it’s not the other one
      Ends with “this object represents (…) distinguish from (…)”
      In object 2, refer to object 1 and how it differs from it
      In object 3, refer to object 1 and 2 and how it differs from them
      At very start I had a hard time, my practices and drafts all got either 1,2 or 3. But if you follow these simple structure instead of branching out too much and saying unnecessary things (which many people do in TOK because they thought it’s philosophy class) then you would do just fine

    hey! I have a TOK exhibition in 5 days I wanted to ask is an 8 still an A bc I think they have changed it to 9-10 and what do they grade like the written part of TOK exhibition or when you present it and how long should we talk for like how much is good and do we need intro and conclusion bc my teacher told that you don't need it they kind of deduct points for that bc u talk less ab ur objects so I js wanted to ask from u and btw I have finished writing it I'll js present it in 5 days.

    'Connotation' and 'subtext' are linguistic jargon, could you explain them in the context of your exhibition ? The reasoning that miscommunication creates beauty is debatable, usual results are misunderstanding, lack of cultural sensitivity, provocation and taking offence.

    • @nadventures
      @nadventures  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hii, honestly can't remember exactly what I was thinking while writing that anymore, buttttt...
      1) There isn't any special context/meaning for those two words (i.e. connotation is the literal connotation, it's saying that there's an implied meaning)
      2) TOK exhibitions (and essays actually) are not meant to give definite answers. It's the arguments, analysis, and explanations you make that matters, not the conclusion.
