    Is it useable with semi automatic crampons?

    • @UltimateSurvivalGear
      @UltimateSurvivalGear  Год назад +1

      No, for semi auto crampon compatibility, you'd want to check out something like Crow: alnk.to/fayvTxE

      Why would you say they wouldn't work?

    Which one you recommend more ? Salewa Wildfire Edge or Wildfire Edge Mid GTX ?

    • @UltimateSurvivalGear
      @UltimateSurvivalGear  Год назад +1

      I would say it depends on the activity. If you are planning to do some mountaineering, backpacking, I would go with the Mid GTX. If you are doing light hikes, trail running, then Edge Low is just fine.

    can you please mention your top 10 survival boots???

  • @grayknight836
    @grayknight836 3 года назад +3

    I really like your reviews and your Criteria of your reviews. I like that you show them on-foot, and show the insoles. I wish people reviewing footwear would mention what the volume of their feet 👣 are. Do you have a Narrow foot, Regular width, or Wide? And does that specific boot 🥾 suit a certain foot shape type. ✌🏻

      Great point! I will definitely implement it into my future reviews! Mine are regular and I typically prefer a tighter fit whenever it comes to my boots, especially hiking boots.

      @@UltimateSurvivalGear Sounds like we have the same lower/medium volume feet 👣. I need, want, and require precision, performance fitment. If you can check out my top picks, Asolo: Fugitive GTX 🥾, Salomon: Speedcross 5 GTX 👟, Cross Hike Mid GTX - my Concept 💭, but Salomon didn't execute them the way I requested, X Ultra 3 Mid GTX, Arc'teryx: Acrux TR GTX Boot, Aerios FL Mid GTX Shoe. I think you will dig all of them. 🤙🏻

    How do you compare this boot to the Salomon element ?

    • @UltimateSurvivalGear
      @UltimateSurvivalGear  2 года назад

      I would say these are more mountaineering boots, Element are more backpacking, more versatile outsole for different terrains. These have a bit stiffer outsole. Both are excellent quality boots though.

    Why couldn't one use crampons with this boot?

    Any idea how these hold up to stepping on cactus???

    • @UltimateSurvivalGear
      @UltimateSurvivalGear  3 года назад +1

      We don't have a lot of cactus here in FL, but we do have a lot of spiky and sharp stuff on uncleared trails. These handled everything great so far!

    I heard these fit smaller than usual, like if i am a size 9, you have to get 10, is that true?

    • @UltimateSurvivalGear
      @UltimateSurvivalGear  3 года назад

      Yes, I would say with most of the hiking boots get yourself at least half a size bigger so that you have a little bit of room in the toe box.
