I used to see riders & horses on my way to Watford, Hertfordshire..& used to slow down .. 5 mile ph. if that and never rave the engine…. give them plenty of space .. stay well clear of them & have love & respect for both of them.. ( there’s a riding school in that area)

One woman I saw, got bellowed at *three* times to let go of the reins, and each time, she went straight back to get hold of the reins once more....ok, she was clearly foreign, but surely she'd have been able to work out what she was doing wrong?

Yes, many are grabbing the reins, messing with the horses, & provoking the guards just to get the yelling reaction from them. I’ve watched several tourists immediately check, with whoever is recording for them, to make sure that they got it all on video. They’ll never learn and quit being disrespectful because they think it’s a funny game. Shameful!
