    I remember a skate board that used metal wheels and was very crude in design. But I had fun with it all the same... Nice refurbishing effort. Looks good to me. Thumbs Up!

    1980’s. The older ones, that I knew first hand, had a different shapes and mechanisms. In fact, the first skateboards were simply roller skates (metal wheels) we disassembled and screwed onto laminate boards. We called them “surf skates.” Circa 1965ish. Southern California.

    Late 60's. Neighbor kid had one that looked exactly like it. He rode it down our driveway, into the street and got ran over by a car. It was pre-helmets and pads and he was pretty lucky, only needing lot's of stitches. He was very accident prone - always getting injured. He drowned three years later while walking across a somewhat shallow but fast moving river. Bummer😞

    А вы этот скейт на полку поставите? Кататься не будете? Интересно было бы посмотреть как долго вы устоите на доске,покрытой глянцевой краской... Или будете кататься в футбольных шиповках с металлическим шипами,чтобы ноги с доски не соскальзывали?

      А, то есть у вас не вызвало сомнений, то что он шлифовал место посадки подшипников и вырезал скальпелем ролики из резины вручную, а потом так же их шлифовал, зажав в патрон сверлинки. Вы например пробовали когда нибудь шлифовать резину?) Если вы ещё не поняли, человек явно плохо разбирается в тех. процессах и техниках реставрации или восстановления чего либо. Главное же навести лоск, блеск, а работоспособность вторично для него, как я понял. Как это в народе называется визуальный онанизм, а человек, который делает подобное - "чесатель мудей".

    • @lone_wolf70
      @lone_wolf70 7 месяцев назад

      @@bloodytusk9897 мне зачем пробовать шлифовать резину? Это вы не поняли моего сарказма. Я в юности,когда только появились доски в СССР, катал лет 7-8 ,поэтому знаю,что без "наждачки" кататься невозможно. Единственный,доступный вариант доски без наждачки в то время был с доской из легкосплавного металла типа алюминия с большим количеством сквозных ячеек и шипастой поверхностью выпуклой части. То,что это не реставрация понятно сразу!
