- A brand new Typhon just out of its packaging is about to be bashed around my local park! It's an initiation process or right of passage and all that, right? Haha! Let's go and have some fun with the ARRMA Typhon 4x4 3s BLX truck and see what it'll take.

This has to be one of the best RCs I've ever used! It's so much fun to drive and easily controllable! :)
Hi there Jake! Nice bashing! I also want to buy this typhon 3s but a bit concerned about the runtimes. Some say you only get 15 minutes at most in this car. However, you mentioned here in your video that you had about 30 minutes of runtime per battery and used 3 5000mah 3s lipos all in all and had about 2 hours of runtime in total. So, my questions are: (1) Did you use those three batteries one after the other as soon as one runs out? (2) If so, did the motor overheat after bashing it continuously for 30 minutes per battery and after a total of 2 hours using up all three? and (3) What charger do you use and recommend so these 3s 5000mah lipos can be charged as quickly as possible without degrading them fast? Do you charge them at 5amps or more each? I hope you can find time to read this rather lengthy post of mine and I'd be very happy to see your response soon as it will help me take take the plunge into the world of rtr rc from tamiya's old rc buggies. If you break the a-arms you can use granite/senton ones along with turnbuckles to get you going again

Hey Jake awesome video and the weather looks perfect there. Really wish there wasn’t so much snow here. Once it starts the melt in spring soon I’ll be having a blast in some wet muddy weather. Like I said in a comment about a day or two go to you. The Typhon 3s is my favourite rc I can agree with you there it’s such a blast and so fun. I sold my 6s Typhon after buying the 3s and never looked back. Fast, light weight and smooth running. Really liked the woods thrashing you gave it here reminds me of Enduro moto cross bikes tearing it up threw the wood trails. Would love to run there. Have to find a place like this. Hold on in there my friend 🙂 It’s nice to hear your story of the 6s-3s model as I’m a firm believer in the 4x4 3s BLX models, they’re fast, affordable, strong, 50mph, what’s not to like? Sometimes it’s more about having fun than the specs! 🙂
Haha the forest was an old Iron Age fort, the ground is full of metal and rock, excellent love to have some fun! That dog really caught me by surprise haha, it came from knowhere 😂

It looks like you managed to mount a camera mount on the wing? Are you putting a Gopro on that thing? Does it not throw off the weight balance? Im thinking about getting a Typhon but didn't see anywhere feasible to mount a camera that wouldn't throw the weight balance off. Did you drill into the plastic in the wing?

The Typon 3s and the Senton 3s has been out of stock for a long time in the US. And my local Hobby store claims that parts take a month to get to them. I wonder if The company will be around in five years. Too bad they look really fun and a cheap price.

I want to know what Arrma is going to do about the shock tower protectors, they are not listed on the website anyplace. Thats one of the easiest pieces on the buggy to break besides the wing
Ace 88_RC yeah. I bent a shock. Took me 10 minutes to change/ replace and this is my 1st real rc. I don’t think this is such a big deal like everyone is talking about

As I’ve got a trx4 defender with a traxxas 3s lipo will the traxxas 3s lipo work in this buggy if I buy a ec5 adapter for it

anyone know if the Arrma Typhon 4x4 BLX 3s has a power cut off feature that cuts off the power when the lipo battery is low? this feature is important so that you can identify that the lipo battery is low and needs recharged. in turn, this protects the battery from being used at low voltage and therefore damanging it
Almost everything comes with low voltage detection nowadays, including this car.

Do you bash with Kev, Pat and 8's Steve it looks like a area they bash their RC's. It's a nice Buggie from Arrma I have seen a Vid on RUclips where one has a very hard crash and broke the front end off.

What did you do with the broken one?
It’s uneconomical to purchase the parts in order to repair it. More was damaged than I first realised and therefore I’m now using that 1st Typhon as a doner vehicle 👍🏻🙂

Brother it's not mine but it would be more fun if you would learn to drive it and it's made tuff butwith some common-sense erasing you dashing instead of breaking it's not mega roll over and flip over yeah it kind of hurts when you see very expensive RC get treated like little toy trucks I'm a racer not a basher breaker there's bashing you're breaking I just I don't know it's yours not mine but have fun
