- Let's look at two matches from Lightning. He's got some epic kicks. To everyone that knows more about this guy, is he a Muay Thai guy or a Taekwondo guy or both? Let us know if you have more information! Shoutout Streetbeefs and Face (aka Chris Wilmore). Share your stories and looking forward to talking about stuff in the comments!
Also, Lightning reached out to us and told us this:
I’m a professional fighter and now the current undefeated DAVID VS GOLIATH NO WEIGHT LIMIT MUAY THAI CHAMPION 4-0 so far ranging from 135-180 lbs and I’m weighing only 115-118 lbs just recently had a 325 lb fighter back out due to fear. I have the worlds hardest shin kicks. My actual pro record is 18-6-1 with 2 titles, but as the DAVID vs GOLIATH champ I’m 4-0.
Clip I analyzed is from Streetbeefs brand:

The guy in orange gloves did indeed look like he was doijng light sparring. Weird.
He was coming straight out of tekken and trying to remember the combos
He looked and fought like a fragile melt
That Korean uncle was bad ass.
A Korean told me that when Koreans meet strangers, they would act cool and polite. No over-the-top friendliness like some Westeners. However, once they get a few beers in them, the Koreans would start acting like college students. So, if you want to befriend a Korean, take them out to the bar
That's a great idea!
This is in fact true
“No over-the-top friendliness like some Westerners.” You’ve obviously never been to my country, Germany. 😂
@@FightCommentary the name is Matt Lyall
aka lightning or shins of steel.
@mattlyall
Epic thigh kicks in the 2nd match. Really shows their effectiveness if the opponent does not condition them
lmao lightning vs wicked one is hilarious. THE STARE DOWN!! he felt disrespected by orange gloves not going hard lmao
Best one so far
Guy with orange gloves got pranked by his friends. They told him it was a light sparring session and he believed them.
Those older dudes that have been training for years have got those sharp rock hard shins man. That shit hurts 😂
I earned my black belt in Taekwondo from a Korean guy. I miss him dearly
The first Korean dude changed stance midway. To me, this probably indicates a TKD background. In TKD (WTF anyway), stance changes are common because it changes incident angles of kicks. TKD has different kick drills for open engagements (one orthodox and one southpaw) and closed engagements (both opponents in the same stance).
Orange gloves punches like a feather 😂 They should call him feather fist, and his character should be this!
The first guy wasnt really in for the fight. With that weight advantage I would spam frontkick-knee and frontkick-roundkick combos all day. Great understanding of distance by Lightning though. And brutal leg kicks. Dont sleep on legkicks.
That first "side kick" was a hooking kick.
I work for Koreans at a casino currently
Aunty next.
That would be hilarious! Now the word Aunty doesn't have that same ring as Uncle ;)
IMO its fair that the size and age difference is neutralized by pairing the bigger but greener youths against the smaller older uncles who know how to handle themselves.
Orange gloves looks like he literally never spared hard before. He just bought the outfit, and worked combos on the bag or something, maybe did some touch sparring and then jumped straight into an amateur fight. Bad move
Here in Japan, I'm often asked if I'm half Korean. There are a number of Japanese-Korean, Japanese-Chinese & Japino (Japanese Filipino mix) over here (large concentration in Tokyo). I said no (because I'm actually Japanese-Chinese born in the Philippines) and the Koreans & Korean mixes got a little upset. So I started to say Chinese-Korean on one side and Japanese on the other side. They (questioners) became happy and gave me nods of approval. Then I would invite them to have a yakuniku (Korean style BBQ ) with me & everybody became happier. BBQ makes the world go round.
Korean TV shows are much better than (new) US TV shows 😛
A Korean guy I was in the army with would literally get drunk on one whine cooler, lo,.
Older guy’s opponents really sucked, lol
Koreans can be Chinese. Plenty of Korean minority Chinese in Yanbian.
Yep. In fact, some people call it three Koreas because of how many Koreans live in China.
Unc fought amateur at least. Black gloves needs to fuckn train before he gets in the ring. It's a pet peeve of mine when people who haven't trained, or trained very little, try to fight in an organized, full contact match. This ain't basketball bro, you don't play fighting.
The guys they went against didnt have good technique or experience. Tae kwon do is on the same level as kung fu . You shouldnt be hating on one but not the other when the concept is the same
@fightCommentary is awesome
