This song helps me realize that my first love did in fact deserve much better than me. More importantly, it has helped me realize that the woman I have now is so deserving of both my love and attention. I'm no "simp" by any means. Fellas, if you have a good woman then don't lie to yourself if you claim you did all that you could. Do the best that you can and move on if need be.

Hey I agree and am in a similar situation. Had a serious relationship and was just awful to her and myself honestly. She left rightly and I was devastated. Learned and grew and found my soulmate and treat her like a queen. I wish I could apologize to my first girl but she deserves to be at peace from me.

i truly believe, that in life there are phases that we go through. and in this so called phases in life, there are upgrades. so after every phase that you go through there is a lesson to be learned. so every time i hear a song like this one particular classic by the group, Hinder i noticed that it literally talking about that one phase in life that we all go through. some good, bad, ugly.

Same! Read my mind. I never really had a long term relationship or bad breakup. But this was one of the best songs of my late teens, early 20s. It hits so deep even if it's not relatable like most of Hinder songs. I think the instrumental talent is flawless.

This song hits for me. I had a beautiful woman and a daughter. But what did I do. Stupid me chose drugs over my family. I was able one time before save it but then I went back. And idk I never really been like this over anyone like I am but her. But I have to live with this regret rest of my life cause I chose drugs over my family. When we were around each other she help keep me straight. But I went to jail cause I miss court an she lost our trailer an had to move an I been trying to get us another place but without her around me to help keep me straight. I got back on drugs. If u have one person that helps u do something like I had. Keep ahold of that. Cause it's worth it. I wish I could redo this. But I can't. I really messed up bad. An now I have to live with this regret rest of my life cause I lost my woman an my daughter..
