I was looking forward to that Tenko & Masaru. Needlessly or say. It’s all fine until the skirt flipping part.

Eh, that's just Masaru being Masaru. I think the skirt flipping part added the event by adding to Tenko's character, too--because it showed that even when Masaru went right back to pulling pranks on her again, she still stuck to her guns and didn't go back to threatening violence on him. She still respected his emotions from before, and stayed soft on him, by deciding she's going to make Sakura give him a stern talking-to instead. It showed she's a more patient and understanding person than some fans give her credit for.

Shame he didn't get a proper "future" outlook by the end. Even Jataro had some interactions with people he liked but Daimon had nobody he ended up enjoying at all :/

He almost did, at least. He found Himiko's magic cool, even if he doesn't want to admit it, and the fighter characters like Sakura, Nekomaru, and even Tenko took a liking to him. I feel if he had a lot more interactions with people like them, he'd slowly come around. He had it worse than Jataro when it came to how his parents treated him, after all. It makes sense that his trauma wouldn't magically fade fast enough to trust someone after this one trip, but he's definitely been put a few steps in the right direction. He and Kotoko even admit this island has almost no bad adults in one of their events together. It's progress, but it's still a bit sad...

@@komarunaegi7460 all of the traumas are just as bad, and don't say that masaru had it worse, jataro went through mental, emotional and verbal abuse, its upsetting that ppl still say things like: "______'s trauma is way worst than _________'s."

@@itsbadussy723 That’s fair, and I get what you’re saying, but I’m not comparing traumas for the sake of showing off who had it worse. I’m only comparing traumas because the kids clearly have different reactions and ways of handling their trauma.
Jataro and Nagisa have a much easier time slowly learning to realize that not all adults are bad, and that some are actually insightful to talk to, compared to Masaru and Monaca. That’s literally fact.
Kotoko is somewhere in the middle, since she has genuine respect for Sayaka and straight-up admits a lot of the students and adults here are good people, but probably wouldn’t have as many second thoughts slaughtering them anyway (while Nagisa definitely would) since her past still hits hard and she’s infatuated with Monaca.
I was wrong for saying any kid had it worse than the other, but my original comment was trying to explain why Masaru struggled a lot harder to soften up to the other adults than some of the other kids. He didn’t get an ending where he acknowledged respect or some level of companionship with any of the adults like Nagisa did-his trauma held him back from fully accepting Sakura’s, Tenko’s, Nekomaru’s, and the other’s friendship, while the other kids didn’t feel as upset learning they can have conversations with some of the students and adults they’ve learned to tolerate on their trip.
      I hope that makes sense!
