I'm so tired o this bull. Washington State borders Oregon. Portland is on the border with the state of Washington and it is quite common for people to go back and forth across the borders on a daily basis. In Washington, one pays no income tax and in Oregon, one pays no sales tax, so the best situation for one to have is to live in Washington State and shop in Oregon. This is no big deal for Zach to move to Washington and creates no huge hardship for anyone.
Their old house is about 40 miles from their new house. They could easily meet up with family in Portland. My daughter lives in Vancouver, it's 2.5 hours from us and it's never stopped us from getting to her if she needed anything. We've met midway just to have dinner with her.

Do you people realize that Washington is about 20 minutes from their place in Oregon? A lot of people that work in Oregon live in WA because there is no state tax so you keep more of your money!
The 4 kids can't get together about the farm. It can not be subdivided so the only thing to do is sell the whole thing and the kids will get their money when Matt has passed.

I think the kids are moving along with their lives away from the farm. Zach being the latest Roloff kid to do so. The problems were initiated by Matt because he has said all along from the start up of Roloff Farms that he envisioned the kids in particular Zach & Jeremy running the Farm & grandchildren growing up on it. Now the time as come to pass & he doesn't want to give up the control. Not even a portion of the farm. Hence he makes it hard for either son to buy it. He isn't really ready to part with it. He likes the total control he has now. Matt was the one who constantly instilled in the boys minds that it would be theirs to run. So no surprise that they thought as they have. The farm was their future. As they have started to realize that its not the case. They have redirected their lives to provide a better life for their families & themselves separate from the farm. They have changed their dreams to accommodate this new development. I find this rather admirable. I applaud their decisions to move in another direction with their lives. They needed to find what makes them happy & works for them. It seems that they have found their new passions. Happy for all the Roloff kids.
I agree with you Sofie Salas!! Zach and Jeremy grew up “thinking (being pretty positive)” that they would one day run The Roloff Farm! Matt really gave both boys the shaft on that!! I feel bad for Zach & Jeremy! It looks to me that Matt was lying to the boys!! Why didn’t Matt come out and tell the boys when they were younger that if they wanted to run the Farm someday to save their money? Why did Matt spend all of the money finishing the Pirate Ship, supposedly for the grandkids, if he was just going to sell the farm? There’s a lot of other things out there that was suppose to have been “for the Grandkids” that they will never be able to see!! What about the “Sandbox” that he built and even had containers with notes & money (‘buried treasure’) that Jackson threw out into the sandbox before it was covered up! I guess Matt said “to heck with it”and plans on leaving the loving notes and money out there for whoever happens to find it!! I think it’s a crying shame!! I think Matt needs to have his head examined!! I wouldn’t have ever treated my children like that!! I have things that my children will Inherit, but I would NEVER tell them to buy it!! When you inherit something, to me…it should be given to you! That wasn’t the way the divorce agreement was, Matt had first offer to buy out Amy, which he did when she moved. So Matt owned all the land but Amy still gets part ownership in the products they farm sales.
I was curious also…. Why didn’t she sell her half to her boys? Unless they didn’t have the money at that time but as a mother I would have waited to sell till they did. She knew Matt & his then girlfriends influence were ruthless and would stab his own family in the back and sure enough he did.

Amy may be loved, but she is not very loving towards Matt. She was always an Angry Karen when it came to Matt. She still is and she just isn't able to let go of Matt, even though he has been quite affable during her courtship with Hubby #2, even offering the farm for her wedding venue. Matt has never trash talked Amy the way she did and still does to him. So, good that you love Amy, because she needs it. She is still an angry dwarf.
I could not see Zach running that farm. I have seen him do not much of anything over the years to prove that he is capable. He argued with Matt when he tried conducting the tours one time during pump. season so his attitude of cooperation was missing. He couldn't get along and Matt is still the owner and boss. Matt does not owe any of his kids anything actually and being as handicapped as he is, he is lucky to have Caryn there! She is looking out for him while Zach is trying to get that land for less than its worth. He has this attitude of entitlement that turns me off.
This is 100% accurate. Zach did tours on the farm? That's not running a farm, he would have to deal with workers and suppliers one on one. He couldn't even manage to speak with his father one on one to let him know they were moving. He had his son do that. Fail. Zach needs to grow up.

This show is no longer what it was when it started, the family is fractured and I would like to know why TLC keeps this show still alive? It's nothing but a big mess and the show ought to get canceled! It actually surprises me a whole lot that the Roloff's continued to film after finding out that Jacob was molested by the exec producer when he was younger. There is no way I would have continued with this show but I guess money talks and money is the root of all evil!
We enjoy seeing How others live esp if they have needs that are different than ours! It's about how other families live, their struggles, problems and joyful times!

The bottom line with any of these shows is money, why else would anyone want a camera fallow them around all the time, immortalizing everything you do? What these shows portrait on tv is not at all how these families are in really with the majority that’s being shown being scripted, which is why Jacob Roloff quit the show in 2016 with him saying that everything is fake and is NOT how his family is in reality! Jacob got molested by an TLC exec producer when he was younger without his parents knowing about it until later on when Jacob spoke up about it and told them what happened. Can anyone tell me why the Roloff’s didn’t give TLC the boot when they found out about what happened to their youngest child? I sure would have, just to protect my child and my other children, but I guess money talks and was more important then to kiss TLC goodbye!!!
Excellent commentary CJ. From the very moment Jacob reported he was molested by one of the TLC executives, both Matt and Amy should have put an end to TLC's involvement with the family. Of course, the TLC checks took precedence over everything else. Let's look at of some of the negatives since the project started: 1) Jacob, the youngest child, left the show because of sexual abuse by TLC staff 2) Jeremy and wife left because they felt their religious beliefs were not in synk with the program 3) Matt & Amy had a nasty and public divorce 4) Zach and family moved out of State 5) The latest salvo is centred around Zach and Matt's disagreement over the sale of part of the farm. Based on the above, I find it incomprehensible that some people want this charade cum destructive program to continue. And NO to any suggestion that Zach and Tori should have their own show. If that happens, the only way they can keep the show alive is the have more babies. Of course, their fans will continue to write, "children are a blessing from God" and "Tori is an excellent mother". Well, the last time I checked, those sentiments do not pay the bills.
The only reason we still watch LPBW is for Zack ,Tori, and kids and Amy and Chris. Dont care about the farm or Matt and his" life partner". It sickens me every time she open her cake hole. Because it was one farm shared by a husband and a wife! Not two halves. The only person she could sell to was her husband. Otherwise the farm would have had to be liquidated and they split the proceeds evenly. Zack or any of their other children have nothing to do with the transaction.
Good for Amy that's what a good parent and grandparent does. Matt is neither, he appears to be all about himself and his own ego and narcism is only fueled by his money hungry girl friend. There would be no farm and no 20+ years of TV without Matt. The property is EFU in 2 parcels. It could not be physically divided 5 ways. And if it could… do they all want it? Will they all work equally on the farm? Likely not. Matt took care of everyone until they could support themselves. What have they done for him? Most comments in all of the different threads seem to be from folks who have never run a business, owned property, had kids, or understand inheritance, or a combo of any of these.
Matt spoke for years actually preached it that he wanted the farm to go down to his kids and grandkids.... but Jeremy tried to buy and Zack tried to buy... but the old man did not want to give it up for a resonable offer from his children. I have 3 siblings. Both my parents are gone. I can honestly say, there is no way in tarnation I would live on the same property as my siblings. At one point I lived 4 miles from one of my siblings, hindsight, that was way too close. She is older and tho I’m 49, in her mind I’m still just that baby doll she played with from age 6 to 12. I wasn’t supposed to grow up or have a mind nor life of my own. Then when I married and had a child after her ugly divorce, her abuse became even more severe. To this day, she has no clue, no insight of who I am as a human being. My eldest sister is one of the most entitled, overt narcissists there is. She lies about everything even when there’s no need to lie. Needless to say, after my dad passed, many emotions that I had suppressed for decades came flooding out. I cut ties, it was the most freeing and liberating thing I could have done for mine and and own family’s well being. I remember driving down the road just a few days after I had cut tires. I was finally filled with true insight and enlightened emotion about how oppressed I had been by my older siblings for decades. I felt as though I had survival’s guilt . I felt guilty for escaping the enmeshed and toxic relationship, felt guilty that I took my sister’s toy doll(myself) away from her but oh was it so freeing! Sometimes you must break free. I still have cordial contact- I send b day and Christmas cards. Other than that, IM FINALLY FREE!!! I couldn’t take another day of feeling inferior or less than or tolerate being their scapegoat. Best advice: get counseling (find a good one, there’s a lot of cooks out there). Learn to live for yourself and most of all Love yourself! Rewire your brain to stop playing over and over in your head all of the negative words and actions that have been forced upon you by the people that are supposed to love and support you. FREEDOM!!!!!
The 16 acres (too small according to Zach) is listed for $4 million. Zach wanted it for a little more than the $2 million Amy got 4 years ago. What is Matt supposed to tell the 3 other kids when they ask why he gifted Zach $2 MILLION????

As I see it, Zack was never really interested in farming or running a business! I always thought that Jeremy and perhaps even Jacob would take over the family business, which is a lot of work! The children need to understand that this is their parents largest assets and they're under no obligation to pass it down as part of an estate. It is obvious that Matt's new squeeze is causing tension in the family and coming between them. The whole pumpkin season concept is now tired and it is time for them to let it go. Matt knows that he has to sell the part of the farm with the main buildings which are the most valuable. So even if Zack build a house on a few of the acres it would be too painful for him to watch as a new owner would have control of the main area. It is interesting that Molly has not been mentioned in any of this! It now appears that all of the children will just flee. Hopefully they will not prevent their father from seeing the grandchildren.

It doesn't matter who got the Farm there would still be Drama, When you Divorce and bring your other half in the family expect alot of tension, It's Matt's farm he can do whatever he wants , when watching in past Amy was always against any Idea Matt had, so it's time for everyone to get their own home and life and start their own show , LPBW is not the same since the divorce.
Zach and Tori are both to lazy to actually work. Besides he and Amy are always against anything Matt wanted to do .They act entitled and look nasty with their mouths hanging open most of the time. Caryn is smart and helps Matt around his place ,she makes a good partner to Matt.

Agree, Zack always picked and choose what jobs he wanted to do during pumpkin season and he always picked the ones that were fun and less work. Using the kids to get back at Mat is a horrible thing to do because he didn't get his way. Besides that Amy knew the boys wanted to buy the farm and she didn't make an effort to sell it to them! Portland is on the border with the state of Washington and it is quite common for people to go back and forth across the borders on a daily basis. In Washington, one pays no income tax and in Oregon, one pays no sales tax, so the best situation for one to have is to live in Washington State and shop in Oregon. This is no big deal for Zach to move to Washington and creates no huge hardship for anyone.

I think the kids are moving along with their lives away from the farm. Zach being the latest Roloff kid to do so. The problems were initiated by Matt because he has said all along from the start up of Roloff Farms that he envisioned the kids in particular Zach & Jeremy running the Farm & grandchildren growing up on it. Now the time as come to pass & he doesn't want to give up the control. Not even a portion of the farm. Hence he makes it hard for either son to buy it. He isn't really ready to part with it. He likes the total control he has now. Matt was the one who constantly instilled in the boys minds that it would be theirs to run. So no surprise that they thought as they have. The farm was their future. As they have started to realize that its not the case. They have redirected their lives to provide a better life for their families & themselves separate from the farm. They have changed their dreams to accommodate this new development. I find this rather admirable. I applaud their decisions to move in another direction with their lives. They needed to find what makes them happy & works for them. It seems that they have found their new passions. Happy for all the Roloff kids.

I could not see Zach running that farm. I have seen him do not much of anything over the years to prove that he is capable. He argued with Matt when he tried conducting the tours one time during pump. season so his attitude of cooperation was missing. He couldn't get along and Matt is still the owner and boss. Matt does not owe any of his kids anything actually and being as handicapped as he is, he is lucky to have Caryn there! She is looking out for him while Zach is trying to get that land for less than its worth. He has this attitude of entitlement that turns me off.

This show is no longer what it was when it started, the family is fractured and I would like to know why TLC keeps this show still alive? It's nothing but a big mess and the show ought to get canceled! It actually surprises me a whole lot that the Roloff's continued to film after finding out that Jacob was molested by the exec producer when he was younger. There is no way I would have continued with this show but I guess money talks and money is the root of all evil!

The bottom line with any of these shows is money, why else would anyone want a camera fallow them around all the time, immortalizing everything you do? What these shows portrait on tv is not at all how these families are in really with the majority that’s being shown being scripted, which is why Jacob Roloff quit the show in 2016 with him saying that everything is fake and is NOT how his family is in reality! Jacob got molested by an TLC exec producer when he was younger without his parents knowing about it until later on when Jacob spoke up about it and told them what happened. Can anyone tell me why the Roloff’s didn’t give TLC the boot when they found out about what happened to their youngest child? I sure would have, just to protect my child and my other children, but I guess money talks and was more important then to kiss TLC goodbye!!!

Excellent commentary CJ. From the very moment Jacob reported he was molested by one of the TLC executives, both Matt and Amy should have put an end to TLC's involvement with the family. Of course, the TLC checks took precedence over everything else. Let's look at of some of the negatives since the project started:
1) Jacob, the youngest child, left the show because of sexual abuse by TLC staff
2) Jeremy and wife left because they felt their religious beliefs were not in synk with the program
3) Matt & Amy had a nasty and public divorce
4) Zach and family moved out of State
5) The latest salvo is centred around Zach and Matt's disagreement over the sale of part of the farm.
Based on the above, I find it incomprehensible that some people want this charade cum destructive program to continue. And NO to any suggestion that Zach and Tori should have their own show. If that happens, the only way they can keep the show alive is the have more babies. Of course, their fans will continue to write, "children are a blessing from God" and "Tori is an excellent mother".
Well, the last time I checked, those sentiments do not pay the bills.

I have 3 siblings. Both my parents are gone. I can honestly say, there is no way in tarnation I would live on the same property as my siblings. At one point I lived 4 miles from one of my siblings, hindsight, that was way too close. She is older and tho I’m 49, in her mind I’m still just that baby doll she played with from age 6 to 12. I wasn’t supposed to grow up or have a mind nor life of my own. Then when I married and had a child after her ugly divorce, her abuse became even more severe.
To this day, she has no clue, no insight of who I am as a human being. My eldest sister is one of the most entitled, overt narcissists there is. She lies about everything even when there’s no need to lie.
Needless to say, after my dad passed, many emotions that I had suppressed for decades came flooding out. I cut ties, it was the most freeing and liberating thing I could have done for mine and and own family’s well being. I remember driving down the road just a few days after I had cut tires. I was finally filled with true insight and enlightened emotion about how oppressed I had been by my older siblings for decades. I felt as though I had survival’s guilt . I felt guilty for escaping the enmeshed and toxic relationship, felt guilty that I took my sister’s toy doll(myself) away from her but oh was it so freeing!
Sometimes you must break free. I still have cordial contact- I send b day and Christmas cards. Other than that, IM FINALLY FREE!!!

As I see it, Zack was never really interested in farming or running a business! I always thought that Jeremy and perhaps even Jacob would take over the family business, which is a lot of work! The children need to understand that this is their parents largest assets and they're under no obligation to pass it down as part of an estate. It is obvious that Matt's new squeeze is causing tension in the family and coming between them. The whole pumpkin season concept is now tired and it is time for them to let it go. Matt knows that he has to sell the part of the farm with the main buildings which are the most valuable. So even if Zack build a house on a few of the acres it would be too painful for him to watch as a new owner would have control of the main area. It is interesting that Molly has not been mentioned in any of this! It now appears that all of the children will just flee. Hopefully they will not prevent their father from seeing the grandchildren.

Agree, Zack always picked and choose what jobs he wanted to do during pumpkin season and he always picked the ones that were fun and less work. Using the kids to get back at Mat is a horrible thing to do because he didn't get his way. Besides that Amy knew the boys wanted to buy the farm and she didn't make an effort to sell it to them!
