I’m so sorry for your loss, Tori. When I was in my early 20s, I lost both of my paternal grandparents - my grandma passed first, followed by my grandpa a few years later. Mourning their loss was hard enough, but what made it even more emotional was seeing how deeply it affected my dad. He’s typically very stoic, so watching him break down in tears and express his grief so openly added another layer of heartbreak to an already painful experience. I’m praying for healing for you and your family.
I would love to see a video on rules for your household, how you settle fights, just how you both want to raise your children! I absolutely love how gentle you are with them, while bringing both the motherly and fatherly side out. Literally anything about children and I'm hanging onto y'all's words, I love learning from you!!
I loved the converstaion on making friends as a parent. Zach’s thoughts on new friends really resonated with me. New parent myself and man it. Is hard to make new friends lol Love the podcast !
I was bummed I woke up so early, but then.....SO HAPPY that you were back!! Happy New Year to you both and the kids! Condolences to you Tori about your grandmother. HUGS
Zach ! It's called aging/maturing.. Refresh ur mind and ur actions will come naturally ! U both need to think about the you that u will become in the best years of ur lives ! 5 years from now ur lives will be so different than today !
I totally feel for you, Tori. We lost my stepmom on New Year’s Day. She was also on hospice and had lots of medical issues. It was sad, but she is no longer suffering. Prayers to you and your family.
My resolution is to read 1 chapter of my Bible out Loud to The Lord everyday. My mum is 99 and hard of hearing and we are shut inside so I read to Jesus. I've done this before and I learn so much more reading aloud. Tori, I'm so sorry you lost your grandma. You and your mum are in my prayers Hope you all have a wonderful new year ❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
Condolences to your family over the passing of your grandmother. Losing a loved one is always hard, especially during the holidays. Parents are their children’s teachers/example. As the children get older, especially in the teenage years, they will place a higher priority on electronics (phone and gaming) and it will be much harder to control that aspect of their lives if they were taught otherwise by their parents. I see it all the time in restaurants. I don’t think there is anything more sad than to see parents on their phones when they could be engaging with their children. Being present is one of the greatest gifts you can give your children. Glad you feel the importance of this while your children are young. God bless!
Tori I used to work for hospice for over 19 years it's a wonderful thing when you can have them in your house. I'm now on palliative care which is what your grandmother had when she wasn't on direct hospice. I've gone from being on direct hospice to going back to palliative care at this point. Once I get bad again I will go back on to direct hospice again I know how hard this is for you to understand but it is a wonderful company to deal with and to have that support in your home in your time of need is a wonderful thing honey I pray for you and your family
our hospice experience recently with my mom in home wasnt really great nor with dad 10 yr back. maybe hopefully to my parents it was good but for us the care givers not so great. Maybe it depends on which one. Both same area one for profit one not.
I am so sorry to hear that. I worked for hospice for over 19 years and we gave 100% to all of our patients and families. I worked just North of Boston and the Boston Massachusetts area. I loved all of my family and showed them the utmost respect. Our office also did a lot of follow-up care with the families as far as bereavement and so forth. I guess it really does go to show it is within each company because I'm on hospice now and I find it very hard to deal with the hospice company that I'm with they are nothing like the company I worked for. I have gone from full-time hospice Care to palliative care and they are very different from the hospice care that I worked for. So I do understand Tori's issues with them. I truly feel for her and send her and her family my love and prayers
@@sherrileeslade6557 wow u used do hospice now ur on it. i wish I knew what to say. I do wish u would get the care you gave , it sounds like u were wonderful at it. thanks for replying and interacting in here. I should say there was one nurse aide who was great with mom for the little time we got care givers she offered to do work off job other hours which we pd her for. And once a sweetheart came in the night was very kind to all of us . But in general it all seemed business and busy folks. follow up has been next to nill I'm have to pay for counseling on my own. Anyway thanks for caring for so many I truly hope you receive it back .
Enjoy watching you guys from Florida. Our daughter lives just northwest of you and it rained our entire 2 weeks there at Christmas! If you haven’t taken Jackson to the Columbia River Maritime Museum in Astoria, I would encourage you to do so!!!! It’s a very special place! You are great parents!
Yes mid 30’s is hard Zach. Currently experiencing life in my mid 40’s 🤦🏻♀️ Especially when mid-life hormonal changes for women (and men) crashes into the time where we start to lose our parents. I lost my dad on 12/15 😭 God bless you both! Keep up the excellent podcasts! 💕
Tori, I am so sorry for your loss. Grandparents are so special! But I absolutely loved this episode! I say to my husband all the time you’re my only friend. But we are just like you and Zach in the friend space my husband needs some guy friends and we’ve always depended on our kids to have fun! Love this! ❤
I am totally in love with you guys view of life and living! Obsessed I am! And those kids...oh my goodness are they totally adorable! ❤ About Hospice, here in South Africa a person is admitted near the end of their life. If they don't die within a specified time (last I knew it was 3 weeks) they can no longer stay in hospice as it is a place for dying. Therefore its not a graduation per sé but more that your life extended longer than the doctors thought it would. This may sound harsh but it is end-of-life care, palliative care, not a hospital. Prayers to you all for your healing with granny's passing. Rest sofly in the arms of Jesus gran of Tori ✨🕊️
congrats u need a break to enjoy your life and family its called vacation so grats happy for you guys but also glad you guys are back and recharged we missed u
So glad you're back!!! I love watching you process through stuff, and your easy banter. So sorry about your grandma Tori. I never make resolutions, think the whole idea of it is so stupid, and if I did, I would not be sharing it. Who gives a hoot anyway?
So happy you guys are back! I also think resolutions are dumb but I do try to set some goals. I want to have a more go with the flow attitude towards parenting, not get so stuck on rigid schedules and such. And want to try to stop comparing my parenting journey to others because it’s not good for my mental health. Looking forward to all the upcoming content from you guys!
I think we forget that Zack is a twin. He was born with a friend. Especially since they were twins, they probably shared friends. I think that in this era of your lives, it’s a little bit of a balance struggle. You have to work on your relationship with your spouse, you also have to be a very present parent. You have to raise a family. And find a best friend, that’s a lot.
Kind of have to leave expectations at the door when people are busy and tired. And just be willing to pick the relationship back up wherever you left it. And accept what is.
Happy 2025 Zach & Tori! Welcome back! So sorry for the loss of your Grandma, Tori. Prayers for your family🙏🏻🤍 I'm not a fan of resolutions either, but I think mine is to read less "News" and focus more on God's words because it's been SO overwhelming for the past few years.. my cup needs to be filled UP now, so that is what I'm focusing on. & Y'all must be having a similar "Winter" as we are here in South Central Alaska! Which is actually NOT Winter at all... It's been rainy, warm and we've barely had 5"of snow this winter, 😮 last year we had 60" already by this date.. just whacky, and I'm not a fan at all. We're ALL just waiting for this huge DUMP of white Snow to FINALLY be here! Haha I'm excited for your next podcast already.... have an amazing weekend and stay blessed. ✝️🙌🏻🌌♥️
Yayyy !! You’re back !! I love the peak/pit segment, going to implement this with my husband. Great way to discuss the day and recognize reasons to be grateful. ❤️
I don’t do resolutions. I create loose intentions for the year and set goals. The goals creates a list and I work on the list. My birthday is near the new year. So it doesn’t matter.
Legit missed you guys when you weren't posting. Very cool and easygoing family. Your fam and friends are lucky to have you. And it's nice for us listening to you. Hope you and the kids had a good holiday!
So sorry about the passing of your grandmother. Please know that’s hospice has free support groups for the year following a passing of a loved one, so tell your mom, you too. Hospice care is wonderful. Really glad your podcasts are back. …I also hope that your trip to Disney is chatted about in the next podcast!
I agree with you, Tori. I don’t like to read fantasy or dark movies. I have walked out of more than one movie and stopped reading more than one book. Reading something dark and unchristian offends my spirit. You and Zach are good people. Thank you❤❤❤
Glad you are back missed seeing you. I did see you on instagram and loved the snow day sledding. Remember days where my kids and I would go… always a blast. Happy new year.. my resolution is to not make any resolutions 😂
My father passed away on 12/19/2024 and my dad's side of the family celebrated Christmas on 12/22/2024 on what would of been his 83rd birthday. I couldn't see anybody on Thanksgiving, because I was contagious and didn't want to give something to my family, so I didn't go. The last time I saw my dad was on Father's Day. Like you Tori, I am the only one that takes pictures of the get togethers I get to go to. My stepmother and father were married for 35 years. Will you pray for my stepmother, because she's not doing to well. I did post the Christmas get together, but no pictures of the funeral.
So sorry for your loss prayers for your family. Also start doing dates with your kids doing special activities with each kid on their own. Spend more time with them. 🎉❤
Grandmothers are some of the greatest people ever. It’s so hard, but as you said, she is a believer, so you know where she is. Big hugs.
Thank you so much for coming back on the broadcast. You two are very special people and I love you and your families.

Yes! Zach, I like a good rant. Sounds like a good podcast idea! So sweet Jackson giving Josiah a gift to open!
I think resolutions can be made anytime you feel you need a positive change in your life ❤
Im glad you two are baaack 🎉
Zach, you should add navy blue to your black/grey/white wardrobe. Classic!

Happy New Year. I don't make resolutions, I just pray to get to the next year.
We have to except people where they are. We shouldn't put our expectations on others. Lesson God showed me several years ago now. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
That's right. Let's just Pray 🙏
Nothing ruins a relationship/friendship more and quicker than unrealistic expectations.
So refreshing!!
You guys are great!! 😊 thank you!!
Merry Christmas happy new year
Glad to hear your grandma was a believer. But still difficult for the family. So sorry.

Zach, how about working out with a group of guys early in the morning? You can build new friendships while accomplishing another goal.
