Seriously, after SNSD went to Japan, they really became THAT group. They really stepped up their musicality and their discography matured so much. I think Japan's preference for live vocals at concerts and tv shows helped the girls to truly find their voices, and they came back to Korea better for it.

I had the chorus of 'Beep, Beep' set as my ring tone for years. It was actually their first full Japanese album that got me to finally stan SNSD (my sister loved them, but I was deep into my L'arc en ciel phase at the time). My top 3: Bad Girl (my gateway song), Catch Me if You Can (that choreo goes HARD), and I am in love with the HERO (no MV but I love it so effing much) Honorable mention are Time Machine and Paparazzi.
The chorus in Flower Power slap so hard alone but the Pre-chorus just make the perfect build for it, and not to mention the layering/Harmonization in the whole song (and Galaxy supernova as well)

I definitely second Love and Girls for her/your taste but also ECHO! That song was the first Korean language song that I memorized for karaoke 😭 it’s so perfect and I’m getting into a great mood just thinking about it.
Damn!!! SNSD is my ultimate kpop group and it's no wonder they have the best kpop discography. And I was sure you would love Japanese songs because of the synth pop.
Japan songs I recommend you listen to: The Great Escape, Karma Butterfly, Lips, Motorcycle and Gossip Girls.

Yep. Galaxy Supernova a was commercial to promote a brand of Jeans in Japan. The jeans in the MV where custom made for the girls because they were to thin for the official jeans. Also GALAXY SUPERNOVA IS MY ABSOLUTE FAV JAPANESE RELEASE FROM SNSD!!!!! I’m still mad at SM and Avex for not releasing it on Spotify tho😒.

THE JAPANESE DISCOGRAPHY DOMINATION 😻😻😻 I swear their japanese releases are at the level of their korean ones if not better from time to time. I think my favorite is Karma Butterfly but something about flower power and that weird ass song is so damn good but then again all their ballads they did in their Japanese albums like Let It Rain WHEW it’s all damn good!
