Sorry about the "exposure" but was not going to reinstall and shoot again!!! If you want to install an AC in your fireplace, view "Install Window Air Conditioner in your Fireplace."

You bet. What state you live? Worked great for me for 5 yrs in CA. Moved to ID. No fireplace.Dangit. Make sure fireplace damper is OPEN! Any questions just ask. Good luck!👍

If it does, not very much for have been asked that before. At end of season when I remove I don't see much residue if any? It must be carried up the chimney as Hot Vapor. But I do remember spilling some on my shoe from holding tray. I hope that helps.
