That's great that you can take Kona to those wide open remote places; it's so better for the cat to be away from the influence of humans and their machines. One insight I think I can safely share with you is that when Kona suddenly stops following your lead, and bolts off one way or another is that she probably smells, hears or possibly sees something you do not. Pay close attention to her, she may tip you off to something important. I simply give my cat general direction now; he chooses the specific areas to explore ( within reason ) because his senses are so much more acute than mine. We are going out for a nightwalk now, as that is when he is at his best. It's like he thinks he is invisible with superpowers at night; he walks quickly and confidently from spot to spot.

Thanks for sharing your videos. I was able to take my bengal kitten on adventures knowing what was possible. Laana is now 7mths old and she goes for walks every day. I wish I could say she's well trained but the reality is that she's just well behaved.

What do you guys use for the fleas and ticks?
you can use drops of collars. If your just going out every once ina while, a tick collar will be cheaper. if your out all the time the the drops would be best!
